Does Teachers, persons in Corporate Jamaica speak Patois?? How do they function, especially if they're in 'first world ' countries. They want you to feel 'less than' because you're educated.

I thought the official Language of Jamaica and The UK was English. Why then when we speak the said Language Correctly it would be termed "Speaky Spokey." Why? Patois is Not the official Language of Jamaica. Maybe it is for some people but this broken English is not taught in Schools in Jamaica or The UK. Blessings
Although I honestly think Patois should be given a second language status we have to be practical. English gives us an ability to operate in international settings. The language of the coloniser yes, but still one that makes us employable and marketable 💯💜💜💜
