4:3 aspect ratio is killer for retro gaming! The price is a hurdle. Seems like options are all Intel. An AMD apu with 780m graphics would have been preferable. I/O is also lacking with no card reader or 3.5mm jack. I love the concept though, and booting into batocera would be so sweet! I have no idea about expandability, but I bet everything is soldered down, save the nvme. Great Video!
Lon, the reason why the foldable laptop slipped at 13:31 is because you had it upside down. The camera lens is shown at the bottom. That side doesn't contain a magnet.
That’s a pretty cool concept, I never thought of a foldable full size monitor that converts into multiple type use formats. Looks like something LG would have done if they were still doing their thing. I’m happy to see Lenovo continuing on with new ideas.👍
TATE mode is great on these new devices. I think we should also have a reminder that you can easily get TATE mode activated on your home PC monitor or even the assigned television screen, if you have a monitor arm or a stand that allows rotation installed.
Seems more like a folding tablet that comes with an accessory kit than one product. Reminds me that iPad can now serve as an HDMI second monitor with the Orion app and a usb capture device (previous only worked with continuity)
Good overall review mate, thanks. One thing I think you should think is about the brightness... U mentioned its ok indoor which and not that great at 400 nits. Thats actually pretty high for most laptops and works great outdoor... Especially the 600 hdr mode would be superb in an outdoor cafe. Im using the x13 yoga which has 400 nits and its excellent in outdoor settings
In general that is cool, but the older one that had a gap when folded that could fit the keyboard was a better form, and I don't know why they changed that..
I wish this was 16:9 so it can can run 2 apps on it vertically just like on a normal desktop monitor. This would also make it perfect for videos as well. The stand does look a bit flimsy. They should do a similar built in stand like the MS Surface Pro.
Finally its shipping, those production times are really holding lenovo back. Leneovo is the only brand whos already in gen2 of this exiting formfactor!
I really want to buy this but turned off with having to "assemble it" to use it. The stand should have been built into the back of the display. Also wish you could close the display with the keyboard inside.
it's expensive but much more reasonable that the $5000 HP equivalent, this can definitely make sense at a deep discount (under $2000) or even cheaper refurbished in a few years
Let me go on record talking about the foldable OLED screens showing up in consumer electronics. I own a Galaxy Fold 4 and the screen started separating from the backing at less than one year old. Would Samsung stand behind their product and fix it? NO! They said they would give me $20 trade in on another fold. Don't buy these foldable OLED screens - ON ANYTHING. Total waste of money.
First of all, it's too large and bulky. Second, foldable phones work so well because most of them have a screen on the outside so that the device is still usable even when it's folded. Third, 32 hun...hun....32 hundred? Nah, dawg.
Dude,it has Tate mode on it so you know it’s gonna be expensive, if you been in front of the screen to long Andrew Tate pops up and tells you to go touch grass and talk to a woman before you can use it again.💪
A really poorly designed product that is way too expensive, and I assume Lenovo is sending these out as a last attempt to clear unsold stock. It is also 12th gen Intel and $3900 for a U chip with no dGPU and 32GB/1TB! Strictly for those with high disposable incomes. There are better versions of this type of device, with a sensible design.

I like the overall form factor. I can imagine though, someone will place the keyboard on the screen and try to close it. Great content!
I was thinking that, too. ...And 3200 is arguably Apple $$. Though probably worth it. Lenovo makes good things usually.
yeah a very janky implementation; that stand looks awful
This was the most informative review of this device i've seen. Thanks!

4:3? Retroarch heaven
Niice, cannot wait to get me one*
...
*In 5-6 years as a refurbished machine, just as I bought my previous ThinkPads.
So actually cou CAN wait 😉

I wonder🤔if Tate mode also comes with an Alpha mode that reminds you to take breaks and go touch grass and to sit up properly and advice on dating.😳

It would be great to see a standalone video regarding x1 fold on Linux 😊
Thanks for telling us the price early into video. I was done.
Keep up the great work
WOW !! Now isn't that a cool toy. I want one...Thanks 4 sharing !! Cheers !!😎😎

Cassettes and LP records came back. Will we see 4:3 become common again?
Thank you very much!

ZAXXON! My favorite!

Nice onscreen keyboard is also there
There's a new backlit HTPC keyboard we need to try! Now we have to see if it works with other PCs over regular BT and how much it costs separately.

All that money for a TWO generation old chip is insane. Intel 14th gen mobile chips have been available since the middle of December.
You should review the Chuwi Minibook X
Rog should release gaming version of this thing
Maybe don't like grab and tilt the product incessantly- pretty annoyong and distracting. Sorry, but hope that can be taken as constructive feedback.
best reviewer
Thanks for your support!
Will you get a chance to test GT media USB next Gen receiver you can actually record on the device.
I can't believe you can't close it with the keyboard in it. What are you supposed to do with the keyboard when you're traveling?
As demonstrated they want you to stack it underneath the folded up PC - it attaches magnetically to the bottom.
I'm struggling to find a use case in my mind and a justification for the cost. I suppose that means I shouldn't buy one.
I had to stop the video when I heard the price, you can buy a car with that kind of money
A MacBook Pro can cost as much as $7000, so paying half that to get a super high-tech foldable laptop is not unreasonable.
💯💯
A pro who needs constant aspect ratio change-ups.... This would be perfect. And if one is 'pro' enough, get the boss to pay for this.
can I install windows 10 pro
Almost 11 dollars in Maryland Big Mac meal.
$3200, oof

I have the fold 3 and it's been flawless. Sorry you had a bad one.
@@orlandoalessandrini2505 Yep, me and thousands of others so far.

this... isn't a phone
there are definitely people who want 15" tablets, just look at the s8/s9 ultra

Can you list the other better versions of this type of device?
Please tell me which? I'm also interested in knowing.
