@@sicituradastra9216 Racial progress has everything to do with punk/hardcore and vice versa. I understand what you mean but remember that regardless how one feels about the discussion of race and racism, there's always some f***** in our scene who is racially prejudice or refuses to acknowledge it. How many "anti racist punks" own records by SCREWDRIVER, CHRISTIAN DEATH or even G.G. ALIN? I know quite a few right here in Los Angeles. They say they "collect rare records so it's ok." When you get called the N-word by people including your own (I'm Black) race in punk must be embraced. I grew up around Nazi punks and other racist scum taking part in the street fights against their attacks, so race played a huge part in my punk roots. I'm grateful for all my friends of mixed descent who've always had my back.
This sounds like top-shelf of the style to me. I've perused quite a few acts, and this is up there with Apt 213 (definitely better musicianship and vocals here, in my opinion). What a find - thanks for sharing.

Oh also listen to the Dead Language LP… had the same singer from no comment and is a very overlooked record.
This has been my favorite thing for a long time.. will always hold up.. PINS N NEEDLES!
I wanted to call a band Dead Stare ... But how can you hold a candle to this!
I needed this.
PUSH DOWN AND TURN
Who's not wearing shoes?

It was foretold in an ancient scroll 4 years ago that you would not be wearing shoes

This is so perfect!
Poison Joe a year later I notice and I thank you
Just bought my first no comment record. This is to good. Not over bearing speed that it sounds like a mess ( I like that sometimes tho ) ....the 90s have a production sound that so unique to hardcore
When there are more songs then minutes on the entire album
R.I.P

Black Punx Matter 😉
Race shit is ridiculous. It's got nothing to do with hardcore.
@@sicituradastra9216
Racial progress has everything to do with punk/hardcore and vice versa.
What a find - thanks for sharing.
this guys are one of the founders of the style. Godfather's of powerviolence who started back in 88. This. Record is definitely one of the classics of the genre. Fast as f*ck without sounding like metal , still rooted in punk/ HC.where many bands went down the grindcore, death metal..Chris Dodge who put this out says he wished they had material for a full 12 but it wasn't meant to be.
@@mirapilates I can only reply to you but thanks to both of you for the kind words from the lame vocalist of this band from many years ago
Ahead of it's time for 92'. Not a boring moment, just complete brutality
Thanks for replying Andy! Love No Comment/Low Threat Profile, your singing and lyrical content is very contemplative.Thank's for your contribution to the arts and helping us evolve.
Casey Kearin I see I must have replied before but now it's gone. Again years later thank you
Ahead? All I can hear is Minor Threat.
@@caseykearin6310 I just have to point out that I didn't write the lyrics to this. It was Bret the guitarist/bassist. I wrote some of the lyrics to l. T. P. But not this amazing lyrical genius work
Totally agree with you
Tons of beautiful and meaningful lyrics, one of the most powerful and expressive old hxc records I've ever listened.. I mean, you got in similar lines Spazz, Siege, Napalm Death, Neanderthal and more, even some Agnostic Front got this crazy fast hardcore sound at beggining, may you call it a mixture of powerviolence / grind before that genre even existed? Dunno, but it's awesome anyways you look at it.
This is great-!!!!
greetings from brazil
ConjuntoDeSambaPerfuraTimpanos greetings back from sunny Southern California. Glad you enjoyed my work, or are collective work
Greatest record ever.

this album gets better each time it plays omfg ffs
Thankyou #biero
Tomorrow Never Knows penned a Beatle, later shot dead, imagine all the people.
This one line encapsulates so much of what this is all about....a bit too long for haiku, but it qualifies as it in my mind. Sheer genius.
33 years old and still harder than a concrete shed
Wtf how did i hear this just now this is amazing
Andrew Beattie is the powerviolence OG! Best vocals going!
so good
This is now finally on Spotify for those wondering
How hard would these songs look on music vid back then, shit would've been Solid
This album so sad :(
: o ) if I really could tell you what the current situation is related to The Lyricist it would be even sadder. He is alive but..... 5 years later LOL
KXLU!!!! friends with vocalist. Awesome shit!!! No Comment

Past-forward, pause, rewind Look Back, now well-aged and lined Decrepit and nearly, blind Pity how time flies DEAD STARE FOR LIFE
2. Past Tense
A lifetime spent standing still Like dead flies gathering on a window sill A sibling disgrace who believes to be The broken limb in the family tree PAST TENSE Too late to save, pulse stand still A dry-lunged solo death rattle Regret in a tear-filled trance A never forgotten remembrence PAST TENSE
3. Sarcastics
Please explain me to me Tell me what I'm all about You're the one who knows me best Tell me why am I depressed Tell me what I'm all about Turn my pockets inside out You're the one who knows me best Tell me why am I depressed
4. Distant
It's a matter of indeifference, or is it? If I were to say I was sad about it I could use the word "Empathy, But who gives a fuck? Not me. Calloused and Jaded To who am I related
5. Hurt
Problems they persist Hardtimes shatter windows with fists Yet still the problems they persist Hardtimes carve open wrists Yet still the problems they persist Hardtimes shout, curse and spit Yet still the problems they persist Hardtimes cloud eyes with mist Yet still the problems they persist Problems they persist
6. Hacked to Chunks
Education promised a helpful headstar Now home sweet home is a shopping cart "Tomorrow Never Knows", penned a Beatle Later shot dead. "Imagine all the people" The radio weeps the 12-bar blues Television breaks the daily news Lifes the word were told to choose Time stands still win or lose Living on time known as borrowed Here today gone tomorrow
7. Lament
Such a struggle to overcome the grip of self-destruction MIND-TIED WORSE THAN CONFUSED Emotionally scarred from the heat of hate I contemplate my expiration date MIND-TIED WORSE THAN CONFUSED NOW Such a struggle to reason why to convey the problems on my mind MIND-TIED WORSE THAN CONFUSED To scratch the surface of escape at a loss for words I can't relate MIND-TIED WORSE THAN CONFUSED NOW Losing words I choose
8. Soiled By Hate
Caught in a web of sever distress Prayed upon by nothingness Buried alive in a grave of despair Soiled by hate and a lack of care A dance of pins and needles
9. Downsided
I myself, no one else My world Hell, an empty shell MINE IN PAIN Yours not mine, thin or swine Rain no shine, dead in time MINE IN PAIN Misunderstood, never could Never tried, always lied MINE IN PAIN
10. Push Down & Turn
Confined within my bedroom cell Here by choice outside is Hell Isolated to myself I hurt inside but I'll never tell More than just a passing phase Living on self-numbered days Masquerading my inner rage This is my Patter of change Try after try, I'll never learn There's only one way out... PUSH DOWN & TURN
11. Curtains
Floating somewhere between then and now A state of mid lost as well as found Through winding trails of soul illusion Forget about the pain, the suffering, the disillusion...
Some of these are downright poetic, and they just scream them so fast they're unintelligible. Such a waste.
@@drpibisback7680 if people care enough they'll look at/listen for the lyrics
@@ILoveDavidLynch super late reply but thank you for taking the time to comment. I think they are some of the best lyrics ever written in hardcore. And I didn't write them, just unintelligibly Screamed them
Wow. The lyrics make this album even more extreme, fucking incredible
Lyrics in the comments? Never seen that before. Nice. Ty
Cool 😎
Good thrashcore
And still the problems they persist....
fucking killer, so goddamn raw
Every compliment you all have paid this record is accurate, BUT it’s really hard to ignore the fact that one of the band members was barely recovered from a particularly nasty cancer and that is the reason for the trippy/ambient moments. Cannot be imitated.
Actually his kidneys failed and right after the transplant he wrote This Record.
@@powerviolenceog shit. Thanks for the update. I still have a Flipside with them in it. Guess I misread the interview.
@@ErichVonNasty it's all good if you go back he does talk about that. I remember that interview. A night we played with infest. I'm the vocalist so I have the knowledge
@@powerviolenceog this is really unparalleled. Still.
sweet jezus this is good
The radio session of this EP is just as fucking brutal, maybe even more so
sounds a lot like the mighty mighty bosstones to me
Yy Gg that was the impression i got too
Yy Gg you guys must be high? I just went to listen to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones I'm laughing I don't hear any comparison. Is there one specific song cuz all I hear is Ska-core.
beatgtie powerviolence : you can't hear it...you have to FEEL it.
Yy Gg well I guess I don't have the ability to feel the Bosstones. And definitely not an influence on our music. I'm indifferent to the comment. As long as you don't hate it I'm cool
THE HARDEST FUCKING SHIT I EVER HEARD!
Who listening in 2018?
GAME AND MOVIE PODCAST currently listening to this in 2017
GAME AND MOVIE PODCAST not quite sure what this post means. It's my band. Or it was mine before we broke up. I just listened now again so I guess I am listening in 2018
listening in 2019
All of us nerds before it was cool fucking pussy.
i love the ambiguity of the described only way out, "push down and turn." is it the pushing down and turning of a door knob or is it talking about opening the cap of a medicine bottle? i think I'm analyzing this pretty obvious lyric too deeply. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
❤️
Here for the drums n cheap thrills
+Powerviolenceog Inc. ever heard of No comment - headless, from Split, Croatia?
2AbandonShip I'm pretty sure I haven't. The band's name is no comment? Current or a while ago I did see a band from 93 calling themselves no comment. can't remember if any good. I'll get yelled at if I complain because it's punk rock dude get used to it
