I have a very important question.. I'm about 80% to Platinum this game but I need to know if I switch the difficulty to Hard as soon as he's in the crater after the explosion but I pause the game after getting to the city and free roam and checked the difficulty again, change it for a sec while I'm still paused and then I quickly change it from normal to hard again is that considered changing the difficulty? I've kept it on hard this whole time, though.

Kaeden Ngai-Natsuhara I also had some trouble understanding at times, although I think that the voice isn't the games fault, just the software they had at the time of releasing it.
Infamous one was hands down the best game in the series and yes I have played all three. It did have its problems but the story was possibly the best in the series and it DEFINITELY had the most content. It had far more missions than 2 and second son even though to be honest it did have some pointless missions like the rest of the games in the series.
I honestly thought that Infamous 2 was the best one that one had the best story not to mention the characters were a lot more believable and emotional and there was more of a difference between being good and bad

if you have two saved games (one completed as a hero and one as infamous) do the kills you make on both accounts count towards the trophies? for example for bio leach 100 enemies, on one account you b/l 25 people and on the other you b/l 75, would you get the trophy? or does it have to be 100 on one game? (im worried cause this isnt the case with blast shards :( )

I'm on my second playthrough now. My only problem with the game is that the side missions are too spammed and there's too many of them. They should have stuck with the 15 good or 15 evil, and then expanded on them to make them interesting. The story is fun and the main protagonist is pretty cool. Forgettable. But cool.

This was my first ever PS3 game and I still love it. I really liked infamous 2 as well and gameplay wise it is better than this one but inFamous' plot and style are the best out of the two (that ending! ). All in all this is my favorite new series out of this console generation, together with The Last of Us, of course.

I have a question about the iFamous series as a whole. I never got a PS3 since I had a 360 but this series was one of the few that I really, REALLY wish had been cross-platform. I haven't gotten a next gen system yet as I'm still trying to see what's up with the way the storage works (the harddrives don't seem that large and with games taking up a lot more space.... it jut seems odd.) I AM leaning toward a PS4 this gen because of the exclusives, it's cheaper (for now at least), and, while I don't care about graphics all that much, it IS a nice added bonus to have slightly nicer graphics. ANYWAY... the point of all that is because if I do get a PS4, I might get inFamous Second Son. My question is: how similar to Spiderman 2 is this series? Spiderman 2 is one of my favorite games of all time -- scaling buildings, swinging through the city and all the random crime, while repetitive, was still awesome. I love games that have that. Red Dead Redemption had a lot of these random events for you to do at any time, even after the main story was finished. Assassin's Creed on the flip side... doesn't really have that many random things (though AC is still good) I know this games has those random events and things to help civilians but I'm wondering if they can ever be "exhausted." Like, once you've done a certain number, do they go away? The wiki said that by helping civilians, you can "clear up" the area or something and make them protected...does that mean you no longer have random things to do in that area?
And just to reiterate: this is about the SERIES. So maybe the first one doesn't have limitless random activities like Spiderman 2 but maybe the sequel does, or maybe Second Son will. Information would be greatly appreciated.
In inFAMOUS (the first one) you're given side missions. Once a side mission is completed in a certain area, it nearly wipes out all of the enemies in that area. There are three islands in the first game, and usually around 7-8 side missions in each island. So if you want to fight dudes, don't clear it all up, but if they're a problem in a specific area or something, you can complete a mission to wipe them out. The second is better in this aspect, as in it doesn't completely wipe out all of the enemies, but it does decrease the number of them. So far, for inFAMOUS Second Son, all we know is that you clear out the D.U.P. We don't know if it completely wipes them out or not, so it's all up until the game comes out next Friday. If I were to suggest a console, I'd say the PS4 is a good choice. However that is completely biased considering I've been a Playstation fan for most of my life and have every console from one to four. But it really is a good console, especially with Playstation+, it gives you new free games every month on PS4, PS3, and the Vita. Which, I know you probably don't have any of those, but you get the $50 for it back with free games. Although, it really depends on preference, so far I'd say get the PS4 if you like they're exclusives, indie games, and the idea of free games; Xbox One if you like their exclusives and the multi-tasking features; or get a PC if you like indie games, high-end graphics, and great multi-player. Each has dis-advantages, like the PS4 has a short plug cable, meaning there'd better be a close outlet near your TV, you have to buy a longer one, or use an extension cord (that's what I do). The Xbox One has been under-going a lot of hate and "gaming scandals" and it's believed the DRM policies they once had could come back, which I don't think is that likely. The PC gets you more open to hacking, because you'll be dealing with them more often, since hackers usually use computers to do their work. Also, some people can't get the hang of using a keyboard, but you could use a controller from another system. The only other negative of a PC is that it will cost a lot of money at first, anywhere from $400-$1000. Although, it will last you long enough to where it's worth the cost, but if you get steam you'll blow through money on steam sales. Sorry for the long response, just trying to give you some good information to make your decision.
TheGamerzOfTheUSA Nice. Good to hear a level-headed person on the internet when it comes to consoles. I'll probably game via PC but pretty far down the road. Once I have a stable job and can spend a good amount of money for a really nice gaming PC. Until then, I'm gonna have to stick to a console. *Most* of the games I enjoy or will probably enjoy tend to be on both systems: GTA, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, Watch_Dogs, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, etc. For exclusives, the Xbox has Halo which I adore but haven't truly felt invested in since Halo 3 (I just couldn't get into Reach or 4's multiplayer nearly as much as I could in Halo 3). For current exclusives... Titanfall looks cool but not something that I feel I have to play. So then we turn to PS4 which has inFamous. Judging on your description of the second game and how the gang don't completely vanish, I would assume the same will happen and that it might be expanded upon. PS also has Uncharted, a fairly linear game that I typically don't enjoy but would like to 'experience' which PS Now or PS+ would allow; TLOU which will most likely be turned into a franchise; Sly Cooper; and possible sequels to stuff like Jak and Daxter which might be cool. Plus they also tend to get extra content for games that are on both systems. I remember the original Arkham got exclusive Joker levels for PS3 and they always seem to get a couple extra missions in Assassin's Creed. I hate that but hey, I suppose it's an added bonus if I'm switching to PS anyway. That said, that alone wouldn't make me switch to PS. But..... I am leaning toward PS4 because of the price point and exclusives. Real quick question: Spiderman 2 had people being mugged or attacked and stuff like that, does inFamous have anything of that sort? Or is it just enemies scattered around the city?
TheRealRobertBlarg I've only played the first Infamous, and I haven't played it for about a month, so my memory may be a bit hazy, but people don't really get mugged. Instead, there's just generally loads of bad guy's shooting at you, and they'll sometimes hit civilians, who you can resuscitate. You then have the choice of either fighting the enemies, or running away, which is mostly what I do. Also, you don't even need an Xbox One for Titanfall, you can also get that on either PC or 360.
Second son is a great game, and you dont need to play 1 and 2 to understand the story of second son, hell, it is not even the same story:P and with last of us comming to PS4 soon, the PS4 will be the goto platform, it doesnt matter how much Halo xbox can give you, PS4 is goto as of right now:)
This is one of those games which I picked up while not really knowing what to expect (since I mostly play racing games). And I have to say that this game is just pure fun. You can blow up stuff by using electricity.. how could you not enjoy that! Certainly a 9/10 game. And I still have to play inFamous 2. :D
It's cool when the reapers and dustmen fight and battle it out. Dustmen usually win cause they're stroger but it's still cool. Also like how the pedestrians through rocks at the enemies when I'm fighting the enemies. And I also like how the cops shoot at the enemies.
Dude , if you like superpowere stuff , i guarantee you that the infamous series is one of the very best , if not the best one out there . The gameplay is amazing and the story are amazing , especially in the first game
It's quite sad really. I enjoyed exploring New Maris in inFamous 2 and Seattle in inFamous: Second Son, but I just really miss Empire City. It's just something about exploring a world that really tugs you at your heart strings and makes you feel really sorry for the people of Empire City. And the colours are very vibrant at day time. I really love jumping off the highest point of the game but in inFamous 2 they aren't as high as it is in the first game. Maybe in the next inFamous they will make another post-apocalyptic city to explore.
I like Empire way more than New Marais and Seattle because it actually has a bunch of unique parts, like a big fountain/pool; a big, tilted, tallest structure; a jail; a torn up, "gothic" mansion; a large, rotating, elevated globe; a crater; different styles of houses depending on the island. It's also bigger than them. Empire has a lot more "personality", as one would say, because they actually took time with it. Seattle is definitely the worst, tons of bland, copied and pasted things. New Marais is fine, but I prefer a city and 1 half of the second island is really bland.

Although, it really depends on preference, so far I'd say get the PS4 if you like they're exclusives, indie games, and the idea of free games; Xbox One if you like their exclusives and the multi-tasking features; or get a PC if you like indie games, high-end graphics, and great multi-player. Each has dis-advantages, like the PS4 has a short plug cable, meaning there'd better be a close outlet near your TV, you have to buy a longer one, or use an extension cord (that's what I do). The Xbox One has been under-going a lot of hate and "gaming scandals" and it's believed the DRM policies they once had could come back, which I don't think is that likely. The PC gets you more open to hacking, because you'll be dealing with them more often, since hackers usually use computers to do their work. Also, some people can't get the hang of using a keyboard, but you could use a controller from another system. The only other negative of a PC is that it will cost a lot of money at first, anywhere from $400-$1000. Although, it will last you long enough to where it's worth the cost, but if you get steam you'll blow through money on steam sales.

TheGamerzOfTheUSA Nice. Good to hear a level-headed person on the internet when it comes to consoles. I'll probably game via PC but pretty far down the road. Once I have a stable job and can spend a good amount of money for a really nice gaming PC.
Until then, I'm gonna have to stick to a console. *Most* of the games I enjoy or will probably enjoy tend to be on both systems: GTA, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, Watch_Dogs, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, etc. For exclusives, the Xbox has Halo which I adore but haven't truly felt invested in since Halo 3 (I just couldn't get into Reach or 4's multiplayer nearly as much as I could in Halo 3). For current exclusives... Titanfall looks cool but not something that I feel I have to play. So then we turn to PS4 which has inFamous. Judging on your description of the second game and how the gang don't completely vanish, I would assume the same will happen and that it might be expanded upon. PS also has Uncharted, a fairly linear game that I typically don't enjoy but would like to 'experience' which PS Now or PS+ would allow; TLOU which will most likely be turned into a franchise; Sly Cooper; and possible sequels to stuff like Jak and Daxter which might be cool. Plus they also tend to get extra content for games that are on both systems. I remember the original Arkham got exclusive Joker levels for PS3 and they always seem to get a couple extra missions in Assassin's Creed. I hate that but hey, I suppose it's an added bonus if I'm switching to PS anyway. That said, that alone wouldn't make me switch to PS. But..... I am leaning toward PS4 because of the price point and exclusives.
Real quick question: Spiderman 2 had people being mugged or attacked and stuff like that, does inFamous have anything of that sort? Or is it just enemies scattered around the city?
TheRealRobertBlarg I've only played the first Infamous, and I haven't played it for about a month, so my memory may be a bit hazy, but people don't really get mugged. Instead, there's just generally loads of bad guy's shooting at you, and they'll sometimes hit civilians, who you can resuscitate. You then have the choice of either fighting the enemies, or running away, which is mostly what I do. Also, you don't even need an Xbox One for Titanfall, you can also get that on either PC or 360.
Second son is a great game, and you dont need to play 1 and 2 to understand the story of second son, hell, it is not even the same story:P and with last of us comming to PS4 soon, the PS4 will be the goto platform, it doesnt matter how much Halo xbox can give you, PS4 is goto as of right now:)

This is one of those games which I picked up while not really knowing what to expect (since I mostly play racing games). And I have to say that this game is just pure fun. You can blow up stuff by using electricity.. how could you not enjoy that! Certainly a 9/10 game. And I still have to play inFamous 2. :D

It's cool when the reapers and dustmen fight and battle it out. Dustmen usually win cause they're stroger but it's still cool. Also like how the pedestrians through rocks at the enemies when I'm fighting the enemies. And I also like how the cops shoot at the enemies.
All of this time I thought this was a first-person shooter and I avoided it. Looks SO much better than I thought it would.
Dude , if you like superpowere stuff , i guarantee you that the infamous series is one of the very best , if not the best one out there .

What does Cole do when it rains??
It's quite sad really. I enjoyed exploring New Maris in inFamous 2 and Seattle in inFamous: Second Son, but I just really miss Empire City. It's just something about exploring a world that really tugs you at your heart strings and makes you feel really sorry for the people of Empire City. And the colours are very vibrant at day time. I really love jumping off the highest point of the game but in inFamous 2 they aren't as high as it is in the first game. Maybe in the next inFamous they will make another post-apocalyptic city to explore.
I like Empire way more than New Marais and Seattle because it actually has a bunch of unique parts, like a big fountain/pool; a big, tilted, tallest structure; a jail; a torn up, "gothic" mansion; a large, rotating, elevated globe; a crater; different styles of houses depending on the island. It's also bigger than them. Empire has a lot more "personality", as one would say, because they actually took time with it. Seattle is definitely the worst, tons of bland, copied and pasted things. New Marais is fine, but I prefer a city and 1 half of the second island is really bland.
