I would suggest that position is subjective and subject to whom you are listening to at the moment. And that is not to say that Scott is not an amazing talented musician. Another Lamare.
YESSSSSS ☺ Amazing work!! really clean as always and your crypticly beautiful use of stops (esp in the pedals). Very moving to hear you tame this monster soo so well 👌 👍 ✌️ 🧘♂️
Breathtaking performance, you are truly one of the outstanding organists of this age. If I have a gripe (and I am standing ready for the barrage of abuse) it is with my perception of H&H organs. To my untrained ear, they lack the punch and orchestral abilities of a Willis or dare I say it, a Cavaille Coll. Too pre-war England for my taste. Music is a subjective thing, but one thing that is objective is your talent. I love listening to and watching your videos and thank you for each and every one. I look forward to attending one of your recitals in the future...let me know when you are coming to Salisbury Cathedral...or maybe my local Wimborne Minster when the rebuild has been completed!
A large proportion of this organ is from Lewis, whose organs I find to be quite fiery, even if it was rebuilt a few times. However, the significant H&H rebuild in 1963 was more along neoclassical lines, in addition to the fairly high Great mixture being brightened in the 80s. I would love to hear Jonathan playing at Salisbury- one of my very favourite English organs, or especially a big Cavaillé-Coll, as I believe this is long overdue other than some recordings on the Manchester Town Hall CC before its historical reconstruction began. Maybe one day he'll record at St Sulpice!
Hey Jonathan, i noticed in the beginning the pedal was quite loud in comparison, was this done to create a new view on the piece or was it by limitation of softer reeds on pedal
Excellent!!! Wish I could have been there in person. Moving! Came back several times to enjoy it.
Best organist in the world
We need an organ-off between Scott and Olivier Latry.
@@tcparker1000 We also need to hear a lot less of Latry and a of more of Heindle and Roth

Absolutely!
Ho molto apprezzato l'esecuzione del brano e la musica mi ha emozionata per l'imponenza, adatta proprio alla Cattedrale. Grazie.
What a wonderful sound from a building I know well, from when I lived nearby
What talent, such energy! Well done.xx
Absolutely fantastic Jonathan! You're the best!😁👍👏👏👏👏👏
Another master performance by the one and only Jonathan Scott :-)
Today I arrived fast to see the new video. Jonathan called 220 this week. All right, organist! Now we want every day... wow
Scott you have an excellent performance!
Absolutely wonderful playing!!!!! The timbres of this organ work so well with the Guilmant! Thanks
Brilliant, stirring performance! Having been at the concert in Ripon, it’s great to be able to relive it here. Another standing ovation from me!
Fascinating! A mind-blowing journey through multicolored galaxies of timbres and sounds! Congratulations!

What a tremendous instrument. Thanks to you both, again.

My computer literally vibrated. Felt lower than a 32'. Love it!

Das meisterliche Spiel wird vollendet durch eine professionelle Aufnahmetechnik, die dem Hörer alle Stimmen optimal darbietet. Bitte weiter so!
Großartig!
Wonderful 😍😍😍
Beautiful playing. Thanks, Jonathan.
The pedal did it for me with this one!
Wow, what it must be like to sit within that space and feel the reverberations. This was super, such integration of all the voices. Thank you.
I'm very familiar with this piece of music. Absolutely love it! Heard this first from 'n live performance of South African organist Winand Grundling.
This piece reminds me a lot the Gaston Belier's toccata
BRAVO FORTISSIMO😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It looks so easy but it is
very difficult to play. Chapeau.

Wow❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nothing against Felix Hell, but I'm so glad there's someone else willing to tackle this piece.
Been waiting for you to upload this separately ever since I heard it as part of the concert!

Ripon must be your favorite organ. Is it rolled into position for your concerts ? Thanks
❤️❤️❤️
