like seriously. I'm like totally shaking my head non stop watching this guy. He celebrates 15-0 more than federer celebrates winning the first set. Then cusses like crazy on every lost point. As once a great athlete once said, "Job's not finished. What's to be happy about?"

All the people in this comment section saying, "Oh a 40 year old Federer got to the quarters. Djokovic is dominating in a weak era" are undermining not only Djokovic's achievements but also Federer's. Not every good player who has aged to 40 can win like Federer does.
I don't think they realize the genius of Roger Federer. He was one of the fittest guys on tour when he was dominant. They have lost sight of how fit these guys are and how advanced sports science is nowadays. Their nutrition, fitness regimes and recovery procedures are controlled to the T. A
One reason for the dominance of the Big 3 has been their superior fitness right from a young age. They haven't lost a lot of that fitness. If anything Djokovic has become even fitter. And all three of them are unbelievable match players. They find ways to win. A lot of players will lose matches in slams where they lose the first or second set. But these guy consistently find ways to win.

the big 3 know how to play 5-set tennis. Their fitness and mindset is much superior. Federer, at 40, with all his injuries and layoffs, is regaining form while beating these younger opponents; Djokovic is operating at the peak of his mental powers. Really incredible to be a fan.

Don't know why so many people emphasize that Roger is almost 40, like that is a handicap. He is completely focused on this one tournament, hasn't played basically for a year and a half which means he is fully rested. His game is perfectly suited for grass, quick points means that he doesn't spend much energy (no long rallies). On grass, experience, serve and precision of shots are most important - not speed and durability. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he manages to reach the finals, maybe even beat Novak. This is maybe a strategy of Roger fans to reduce pressure and expectations from him. Coming from a Serbian, Novak fan :)

Kenny Rosewall lost to Jimmy Connors at the age of 40 in the American Open final. That was in 74 and he played another 6 years. He stayed in the top 20 from 52 to 77. Another amazing athlete. Hopefully, Roger will keep playing as well. Great to watch.

Almost getting to the semis just a month shy of 40 just underlines how weak this Djokovic dominated era really is

Ofcourse when guys in their mid 30s and a grandpa at 40 are dominating, it clearly defines weak era

@@toni9782 2003 to 2009 had the best version of Nadal on grass. 2016 to 2021, Djokovic doesn't get to face any best version of Nadal or Federer. Also, the weak 20s generation with a slam count of 1 is laughable. Tennis is dominated by guys in their 20s, just like every decade. Zverev has choked again too. Tsitsipas lost in the 1st round, Rublev blew it up too, the 5th seed.

YEAH, can't wait his next match, who's next.
Others are going downhill and retired in early 30s, Roger still comes back strong, age is just a number, only for Fed

I didn't understand why Sonego played to the right hand of Federer lot of time. He really wanted to be punished
