- this video is about how to downshift gear in motorcycle properly. Beginners feels jark while downshifting gear in bike, because they forget to slowdown bike before downshifting. So proper way of downshifting gear in motorcycle is to slow down throttle, then press clutch and apply brake , and then after slow down you can downshift gear according to the bike speed
Avoiding a jerk while downshifting on a motorcycle requires smooth throttle and clutch control. Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Roll Off the Throttle

As you prepare to downshift, release the throttle gradually, allowing the engine speed to decrease.
2. Pull in the Clutch
---------------------------
While rolling off the throttle, gently pull in the clutch lever all the way. This disengages the engine from the transmission.
3. Downshift
-------------------
Use your foot to downshift to the desired gear while still holding in the clutch lever. Apply a light pressure on the gear lever to smoothly engage the lower gear.
4. Rev Match

To prevent a jerk, match the engine's RPM to the road speed for the new gear. Blip the throttle slightly to increase engine speed if necessary. This helps synchronize the wheel and engine speeds for a smoother transition.
5. Release the Clutch Smoothly

Gradually release the clutch lever while still controlling the throttle. Ensure it's a gradual release to avoid abrupt engagement.
6. Roll On the Throttle

After releasing the clutch, smoothly roll on the throttle as needed for the new speed and gear.
Practice and coordination between throttle, clutch, and gear lever are key to mastering smooth downshifts and avoiding jerks. It may take time to develop this skill, so be patient and start with gentle downshifts in a safe, controlled environment.

Agar hum 4th se 3rd gear mein downshift karegey kya hume pehle brake dabana pade gaa ya sirf accelerator to cut karke downshift karsakte hai
Bhai me bike ku 90% time 3 to 5k rom me chalata hu ar gear change b full clutch me karta hu. Bas jab downshift karna hota h thoda sa jerk sta h ar uski jerk free banane k lia race bahat hi thoda sa deta hu ar deeke release kr deta hu and release karte time higear change karta hu. Ekdam smooth gesr change hota h
But isse engine ar gesrbox ko koi issue tow nhi ayega na?

Bhai agar downslope h jada around 50 metre to clutch dbake niche jaye ya without clutch
Downslope par clutch dabake chalalna recommend nehi hay, because it makes the bike speed increases for gravity, and when you apply brake for some reason, brakes may fail. So slope ke depth ke hisab se gear me rakhhe clutch chorke bike chalana bahtar hota hay

No, isse engine brake lag sakta hai, and rear wheel lock ho sakta hai.
So agad bike 3 rd gear mein hein and then bike ko agad 15-20 mein lakad 2 nd gear mein shift kadu to kaya sehi rehega

Yes bro,motamuti 160cc bikes me top gear par 43 se upar chalana hai, nehi to engine me knocking hoga, petrol sahi se jalega nehi, karbon deposit jama hoga, overall its not recommended

Nope but have to use brake to make the speed slow when you release the clutch after downshift otherwise you will feel sudden engine braking in rear wheel
