- In this video, we welcome Robbie back from his 3-week holiday in Canada and dive straight into some serious farm business-worming the lambs! 🐑💨 After an initial dose two weeks ago, we're concerned that it hasn't been effective, as our lambs are looking quite dirty and a little sluggish. Robbie takes follow-up dung samples to the vet to check for worm burdens, and we review the situation with the vet in next weeks video. Watch as we jump back in time to the original dosing day, where we treat our lambs with sky-high worm burdens!
Helping me on the farm are my two future farmers, Ada and Enya, who manage the dosing operation themselves using our new sheep handling system. Their involvement is a true highlight of the day, showing that the next generation is already making waves in the world of **sheep farming**. We also get a special visit from @CharlieMcCarron_RayWhite a good friend who’s just returned from Australia. While he only planned to drop in for a cup of tea, he ends up helping us with the sheep dosing, bringing along his drone for some awesome aerial footage of the farm! 🚁📸

That trap door exit reminds me of the demon barber of Fleet Street in London’s murky past.I hope Robbie is getting treatment for his tremor, with my husband it turned out to be Parkinson’s, the tremor is imperceptible now he is on the full dose.

I’m not as keen on the drop bottom, next lambs up hesitant and the drop might not be good for the limbs long term. I get that they’re not often in it, and that the drop isn’t extreme but heavier ewes or rams might be susceptible to injury. Will follow with interest as always, love what ya doing.

What software are you using for the phone and the EW7i scales
I usually use Sheepware from TGM but the phone software I was using today is a trial that came with the crate called Smartworm from Cotter Agritech.

Hi there! Can i ask how often you worming the flock?
Depends on how the lambs are doing but usually every 5-6 weeks from May until October. Think I've caught these just in nick of time!

I really need to get her in a video for an update! She is a super dog but proving very hard to break. She picked up some very bad habits at her last address but improving all the time 👌
What doses did you use on the lambs throughout the year
I used white drench in May, clear drench in July & clear again this time with the plan of using yellow drench next time.

Having to change the dose for worming sheep is common this year, getting the correct dose via a dung sample definitely helps as they thrive again in no time once they are sorted

@@sheepschool365 we dosed a few weeks ago, done a dung sample last week and redosed according to dung sample for tapeworm. Good luck with yours, hope it's good news 🤞Always hardship with sheep but hard to beat it though 🐑
