I love seeing Caleb so happy. It warms my heart so much. He went through so much inner turmoil the last couple of records before this. I love to see him having fun now.
All three singles from the upcoming album have been great in their own ways I feel. This one being so happy lyrically just makes me really happy for Caleb after all he’s gone through mentally in his life. This song just makes me very happy and I love that he’s in such a good place now!
Beartooth is my "ride or die" band. I love everything they have done, everything they're doing now and will love everything yet to come. 🐻🦷🤘🤘
Whilst I preferred Sunshine over this track this is still an absolute banger of a song and I’m really happy Caleb is in a better place physically and mentally, can’t wait for the new album!
That song is so infectious and happy, I love it.
The bands in the US now look for songs that will bang on Sirius XM’s channel Octane. Which is exactly what this song will do! Octane spins = fans and hits. But good on them, I dig this track.
I started listening to Beartooth with Below and I'm super happy that The Surface is the next album for me to listen to, it worked out so perfectly and I'm glad Caleb is in a much better place!

Wanted to add to the convo about maybe going in a radio direction. I think it makes a lot of sense to maybe aim for radio bc this is also a song that talks about something that he wants to spread to the world! That message of “dont give up, you can make it! The change starts with you and taking the first step.” I think his goal with this one was to reach as many people as they could so that people that may need to hear this will! And radio is a great place for a song like that to thrive! But it is Beartooth and I don’t think they’ll ever do a song without “that Beartooth moment!”

I already loved them and got to see them live this week for the first time and OMG Caleb’s energy and presence was AMAZING!! Seeing them live gave me so much more of an appreciation to them and it made me so proud to hear that he is doing so much better and has so far done 19 months off the drink 👏👏👏👏

Since seeing them do this song live and hearing him talk about how it came about changed how I felt about it, I like the song and can appreciate the reason why.

This has grown on me, after a few listens - but still prefer Beartooths heavier work. Having said that, I agree with Johnny that I would have preferred a solo (in place or the breakdown). Plus, as others have said, great to see a heavy band promoting positivity and happiness.
Hawthorne Heights released their heaviest song ever the other day "The Storm" you guys should check it out.
Hot damn!! 👀 I love this song! I listened to it a second time and was jumping around.
My only gripe with this song is that I feel like it didn't need the breakdown. I love seeing Caleb happy after everything he's been through.
yeah it felt like they needed to lean either a bit more or less into the heavyness. They're kinda at an unusual mid point with the short breakdown and chunky riffs, still dig the song but its just in kind of an awkward place soundwise.
I like how Roguenjosh described it in his reaction, the breakdown basically used as a celebration/victory dance. A happy take on something that is usually based around a darker subject/tone.
I kinda agree with you on that. I was expecting a pop riff down. But also I thought if there was going to be a breakdown, I'd want it to be heavier than what I heard on this song.
Don't get me wrong, this song hits all the boxes for me when it comes to Beartooth, but I was expecting a heavier breakdown. But what I got did it for me you know? It's kinda hard to explain, but I still enjoyed the song regardless.
So jealous that you guys get to see Beartooth, it will be an amazing show. They are better live in my opinion!

such an amazing song! incredible as always, im debating buying there vinyl and i dont even have a player. I loved the breakdown at the end....a solo might have fit better at the end but this song just showed the variety of what they can do. Calebs change in life reflects in his music but dont get it twisted....they can bring the heavies when they need to. Im stoked for "The Surface" to surface.
I definitely pre-ordered the vinyl and I don’t have a player either. Now I have an excuse to get one 😂

When I listened to this track the first time my two thoughts were
1) wow has he ever worked on the vocals, he hit some cool notes there
2) Panic! At The Disco vibes?? I thiught it went pop in a way that they do where it still felt alt and I'm here for it.
It's a departure but a growth one and I'm here for it.
Somethig tells me we will still get a much hevaier track or two on the album
Not a fan of the recorded version but this song live is incredible. I saw them live this summer and it is a lot heavier and calebs vocals are amazing. Got goosebumps everywhere

Love seeing Caleb in an optimistic place for sure, but personally this track ain't too much my vibe, compared to the first two
I thought the same thing right away, but honestly this just gets better with every listen.
It's definitely a different flavor, but I love to just drift away and get lost in this song. It's got a trippy feel good vibe and I love it.
Happy that Caleb's doing better personally as well. I'm really excited for The Surface to debut and push the limits of what Beartooth can achieve.

Not saying this song is bad, but I think it is weakest of the singles for me. Maybe that is just because I loved Riptide and Sunshine so much
i dont like it whatsoever but whatever makes them happy! The breakdown just doesn't fit but they're trying to appease the fans like me, who liked their very earliest stuff. Like I said, they evolved and have their own goals and obviously a wide fanbase.
ugh... like I just dont think I like their new stuff the first 2 albums got me through some shit and like im glad he's worked through his stuff and is happy but man his music just doesnt have that grit anymore.. fair weather friend and always dead might be 2 of my favorite songs of all time and there's been nothing on the last album or this song that stirs any kind of emotion in me.. I dunno im all for evolution but they may have evolved away from me.

I think the purpose of the new songs is to inspire others to get through there difficult times you know, get out of the "riptide" , find some "sunshine" and learn to love yourself instead of dwelling on the bad things.
