This was the most poorly explained Cauldron. Aloy specifically says "The Chillwater Canisters create an updraft when they fall into the lava", keyword "LAVA". But then to ACTUALLY create the updrafts, the Canisters have to fall onto completely unmarked hotspots of certain sections of the hardened lava ROCKS, as there is no molten lava for them to fall onto to. They don't create updrafts on ALL of the lava rocks, just certain special spots that do not show on the Focus. You can even stand on those hotspots without sinking, taking damage, or dying. It is a total guessing game of which spots work and which don't.
The Cauldrons are a great part of the Horizon franchise, especially this boss fight that is so good. It's sad that probably only 50%or less of players will never experienced it because they just do story missions.
Tbh i hate them but they where worse on the first game now are a lil shorter but still a pain in the ass hate to going to A point to B point then go back again to A point i hate it...
One of these days I want to try going through it only using the children's toy bow with suction cup arrows that does 1 damage. Just imagine how much of a pain that will be 🤣
BTW, I found out HOW to get into that cavern east of Fleet's End. You have to position your flying mount very close to the entrance and scan to the right to find the available grapple point. Once you have it, jump off the mount by pressing square, hold X to grapple to the point and your are in.
Completed this cauldron but when I return to the Base in the interlude, the bilegut doesn’t appear on the fabrication terminal, it just says “discover and complete cauldrons to reveal this machine and craft its override”…any help anyone??
THIS IS WAY TOO HARD.nobody in their right mind can get through this on their own seriously..because unlike other cauldrons this is too convoluted with no clear pathfinding...seriously...no thing is it's not even HARD per se..its just not intuitive like i had to be FINDING what is the actual path its just annoying at this point..died a million times just even before getting to the final boss
This is the first cauldron I aborted. Cauldrons are usually one of my favourite parts in the game, I just love the atmosphere, the platforming and puzzles. I never looked up a walkthrough once. But today I found this one, got as far as the first main room with the centerpiece/crate, and I just had enough. It's too gimmicky. I just don't like it. And I fear that future Horizon games might get more gimmicky even than Burning Shores. I loved HZD's simplicity, and dislike Burning Shores quite a bit (granted, my PC can't keep up with the cutscenes, flying or riding is near impossible (constant shader compilation blackscreens) but I can't afford anything better and though I have the game on PS4, I am not comfortable with the controller after playing HZD for so long with mouse and keyboard.)
Like WTF. Through the game you shoot chill water canisters they explode. Here are hey are magic and you have to drop them in lava. This cauldron sucked.

Honestly used to hate them but recently been enjoying them. This one made me love them. Definitely my favorite one

I Hate Them As well
Even in story you still do Cauldron missions, just easier, that’s all.
Worse part
I didnt realise you could shoot down those blue things, i basically glitched jumped up to the platforms. was a pain.
I’m consistently impressed at how unique they’re able to make each cauldron despite them all being fundamentally the same thing
I always think i’ll be able to do these without help and then I have to refer to your walkthroughs every 2 minutes the entire time 😂
Becouse developers of guerellia are spiteful
Had to fight every egg in that last chamber at once, it was fun.
I just used the Stealth valor surge, skipped it all and overrode the thing before leaving
I just finished it. On ultra with low ammo. That was a freaking pain.
Same, I hated it some much
One of these days I want to try going through it only using the children's toy bow with suction cup arrows that does 1 damage. Just imagine how much of a pain that will be 🤣
@@SinfulPriestessWell an apex bilegut have over 30k hp if you are playing on ultra hard so you would need to shot it over 30k times with the tot bow
Am i the only one who thinks leap lashers are really freaking annoying 🤣
They should've called this Cauldron Upsilon. Since Frozen Wilds had Epsilon.
The machine should've been a desert area since Frozen wilds had snow

This one was a mother trucker I loath that damn frog !
Thanks, this helped a lot!
Woah! Nice robot froggy!
Fire Element. Good to know.
Completed this cauldron but when I return to the Base in the interlude, the bilegut doesn’t appear on the fabrication terminal, it just says “discover and complete cauldrons to reveal this machine and craft its override”…any help anyone??
Same!
Any game where you're constantly youtubing puzzles means the game has bad puzzle designs.
I love this channel
Those frogs are the most annyoing enemy in the game
Without TH-cam Where Would We All Be
Still searching for an entrance I bet lol

get gud
What a pain in the ass fight. Those little robots are annoying and painful.
The stingspawns… worst idea from guerrilla. They’re so annoying
So that's what the last "?" Is, in the fabrication terminal.
It is the sunwing

Hello, do you know how to do the delver trophy? And those aerial captures? ☺️
I thought IOTA was the worst but shit this one is annoying
The devs are assholes for all them damn eggs. So not fun it was
Most non-intuitive environmental puzzle design in genre history. Great game, but the "puzzle" designer needs to be fired.

💯👍
I did so many time skips for the Apex Bilegut but turns out you cannot spawn them unless you kill this one in the Cauldron. 🥲🥲🥲
