Excellent as ever Trev and always so professional and thorough; I reckon that's why they treat you well for these transits. I like to get Google maps up and spot the landmarks on you route. Really great viewing, cheers 👍
It's good that Luton allow you to transit through their busy airspace, it helps when they are clear and precise, and you have to repeat their instructions so there's a lot to do
Exelent radio dicipline, great job in showing how its done and how to use ATIS. Have never been up in a flexwing microlite, very different experience than a Cesna I bet 😂 love your video's and find them very relaxing. Great fun to watch as i used to fly 15+ years ago. P.S. I think that helicopter may have been XA99. 👍
Hi Trev, another good one. I’ve never been into Plaistows before. Must put it on the list for next time I’m down that way. I have only done a Luton Transit once - from the south, and that didn’t start well as I was experiencing electrical issues and inadvertently crossed the line before I had obtained clearance. ☹️
Hi Peter. Plaistows is definitely worth a visit. The zone transits generally go well with no issues. To be honest if it wasn't for Skydemon I would probably take the long route and avoid the zone.👍
ive done a stint on airfiled ops, reponding to Apron control, Tower and ground and ive got to say Tower was so amazingly fast and im not sure id ever get used to it.. i can only just listen at that speed let alone process the formation and repeat it back 😂
To be fair Luton wasn't too bad. Some of them are very fast to the point of asking them to repeat several times. (It gets a bit embarrassing after about five times!) If they were to just slow down it could be done once and then move on. It can be a difficult when abroad as they speak fast English in a foreign accent! But I am thankfull that they speak better english than I do their language 👍
@trev.lee.adventure yes how they do it in a second language is amazing, and yes it's quite counterproductive to have to repeat an instruction several times, after on repeat request they should slow done to maybe half speed.. geat vid too , thank you.
Way back when i got my ppl at Titusville Florida, the instructor called up Kennedy and asked if we could enter their airspace and get some shots of a shuttle that had just landed, they granted it. Different times.
You are braver than me that's for sure, I'd never fly one of those anywhere near controlled airspace. Talking at machine gun speed seems to be common with American controllers.
Great video Trev. As a matter of interest what are the makes/models of heated clothing that you use? I’ve tried the heated insert pads but I’ve not had much luck with them to be honest. Thanks. Lee
And for my next trick, I'll do some aerobatic manoevers. 😂 Nice one mate. Hey Trev, I don't think I'm a grumpy old man...but is there some way to fix a bracket to one of your wing struts, to support the camera. I've just recently subscribed to another bloke, flying a flexiwing, and it would appear that he has his camera fixed and not helmet mounted. It's tough going viewing from this side of the screen,, when your head is jerking about with the camera helmet mounted. There has to be a solution. Ok that's enough moaning for now. Back to the positives...great episode, as usual Trev. Keep em coming. Take care and all the very best from down here in Nz.
I was flying Deenethorpe to Plaistows which is just south of Luton. To go round is further and takes more time. Air traffic controllers are happy to help if they can. If they are to busy they will decline your request for a transit through the zone. I have never been refused a transit and they have always gone to plan with no issues 👍
Hello, Luton controller here. We absolutely can accommodate VFR transits as primary only without a transponder however, as with every transit they are always traffic and controller workload dependent as we are not a dedicated LARS unit.
Just a hindrance in your little rickety toy plane wanting to get close to Luton airport for your TH-cam video, while there are REAL commercial airline pilots flying for their career, approaching plus trying to get out of said airport. 🤡
I like you and I like your videos but the interference on your radio is relentless and grim. Usually I give up before I want to because I can't stand it. I wish you could fix it.
I’ve been ill for a week so I’ve saved this for today.
Another great and interesting upload.
Always a pleasure to join you in a flight.
Thanks Trev
You are very welcome Joey👍

Enjoyable and helpful Video Trev, thank you very much. Gives me the confidence to try that.
Go for it!

Oh dear, no more tripe? Trev, your videos are a delight!
I'm going to be doing some eating road kill videos soon 👍

Great vid as always. Great view of the Autumn coloured trees, and I still don’t know how you manage to spot those airfields!!🤪
Thanks for your comments. Some of the grass strips are difficult to spot. You know where they should be but they just don't stand out. 👍
Love it, shame paramotors don't have transponders lol.
Thanks for your comment Mark 😎

That would be amazing👌
Trev you couldn’t make a bad video if you tried brilliant mate ❤
Thanks for that. You are very kind 😎

Aggreed. It saves no time as things need to be repeated 😬

I use Keis kit. It's brilliant

Hi Bryan. Yep your right. I'll try and fix something up and give it a go. 👍
Spark plug with R ( resistance) eliminate radio interference, you haven't?
The most of it is from my transponder. When I switch it off its fairly quiet.
👍
👍
If you don't mind me asking, what is the objective of this? I'm watching this for the first time? Thanks. 👍👍🥰

Was it you a saw I think Thursday flying NW between mars worth and pitstone?

No it wasn't me. 😎

@@hazza940 That would be spooky!! Have you checked out my Arctic expedition series?
Does your aircraft appear on websites like Flightradar24?
Yes. Just put the reg in G-GGTR
Very interesting.
Like to do this but not sure they'd let us through without a transponder?
Doubtful to be honest but you never know 👍
