      Maybe because machines don't strike so often and they don't demand days off and ask for big fat retirement funds?

    • @CMH_1975
      @CMH_1975 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      MarketAndChurch you obviously never worked on a assembly line. There are plenty of robots, but there are certain parts of this place that having robots would kill production. As nice as they sound, they often go down, which causes the line to stop, which in turn costs money when vehicles aren't rolling off the line. When a human gets sick on the line, they replace that human with another human. Guess what they replace a robot with when it stops working....either a bunch of down time or they have a human do the job. I've been at this plant for almost twenty years and have a seen them try to replace humans with robots, it doesn't work everywhere.

      matt heeb no they didn't. They don't make a whole lot of profit on the four models they're stopping production on. Ford has to sell about four Focus to make what they do off just one F-150. The profit they're making off the new Expedition and Navigator's are even higher. China is paying over $300,000 for a Navigator. This isn't a permanent thing and I don't know why people seem to think that.

      joker2008 @ Why would you want the 5.0 in the Expedition? The 3.5 eco will outrun it, tows much better, and gets better fuel mileage. People need to get over the v8 thing, it's old school and past history. Now go ahead and tell me "there is no replacement for displacement" lol

    • @svtgrizzwall1997
      @svtgrizzwall1997 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      U really think the Ecoboost does great on fuel mileage bullshit drive an Ecoboost in windy conditions or up a hill see how much power a v6 needs to put out just as much as the v8 and take off the twin turbos off the Ecoboost and what is it a 200hp engine

    • @chpman2013
      @chpman2013 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hose A: A naturally-aspirated V8 is more simple in design than a twin-turbo V6 and will generally be more reliable...plus, turbos tend to use more fuel when they're spinning...and finally, according to fuel economy ratings comparisons, the Ecoboost V6 Expedition is basically equal to the 5.0 V8 F-150 (only real difference being that Ecoboost has a lot more torque at low rpm while the V8 has more horsepower)...V-8's still have their place in vehicles.

    • @Davido50
      @Davido50 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aj Nunez driven an Ecoboost twin turbo 3.5L V6 in a F150 or similar?Im thinking no. Promise u will never miss a V8. Technology has moved way fwd in metallurgy & optimization of output. Secret..all Ecoboost motors 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 ,3.0, 3.5 etc are overengineered for unreal reliability/durability.

    • @minivanmaster

      Wojciech Gierczynski sadly that is no longer possible since the government requires backup cameras now

    • @KB-bh9hp
      @KB-bh9hp 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wojciech Gierczynski Yes that's obviously, but the tech is useful for people who have, let's say for example, alot of noisy kids in the car, it's relatively easy to be distracted. People also can't learn to put their phones down, either ford gives cars tech like this and they avoid accidents and save lives, or they make the cars cheap, even though it's costly, I'll take the first option. I don't value the intelligence of most humans I encounter, so I'm ok with their cars essentially driving for them.

      Garret spence There are plenty of people with college degrees. They came here to work cause they have better benefits and make more money. I left college to work here almost twenty years ago. My first wife was a RN and never one year did she ever make more money than me. My current wife has two degrees and she doesn't make my salary either. Are you mad that I came into a job making 100k at times, good benefits, profit sharing, bonuses, and a pension all while not having to pay a dime back for a piece of paper that obviously isn't a guarantee pay day? I'll be 53 years old when I can retire and my $360,000 house I just built in December will be paid for long before that day comes. There are pieces of shit here, but the good people vastly out number them. Good try acting like you k ow what you're talking about though.
