Videos are always made on Kevin but nobody sees that how much Marcus supports him. They both make the pair the best in the world. We should give credit to both of them.

Kevin and Marcus are actually monsters. In the last 52 weeks they’ve played 14 tournaments and won 10, with 2 second places. The other two they got to the quarterfinals. They have an insane 102000 points as the world number 1s and are 25000 points ahead of the second ranked Liu and Zhang. I don’t see them losing that spot for a long time.
Give credit to Gideon too, please he’s an awesome player who is underrated in my opinion

kevin not so much but every markus serve is illegal. Markus contact the shuttle way above the last rib. Markus getting away with it because he holds the racket and shuttle legally at first but as he about to serve, markus lift the shuttle up before making contact. Go look at markus serve in slow motion. Several other Indo MD players are famous for serving illegally as well

Kevin doesn't care if he makes a mistakes, he doesn't bothered when sometimes he made a ridiculous shot because he knew that in the next rally he is still can win a point..
While gideon, he said it himself that he trust his partner the most.. Gideon doesn't bother either if one of them make mistakes.. What important for them is focusing on winning point one by one..
The bond within kevin and marcus now is on another level than their bond in 2015.. They have the same goals they work together as a pair and they both hate the word lost..
Who can beat them? Time will tell.. They are just human so it is not impossible to beat them...
And most of the video always makes gideon underrated.. But what's new?? People always love the front court player.. Lee Yongdae, Setiawan, Zhangnan they always got the spotlight rather than their partner..
Dewi Masito yeah, it's a curse for back court player. They decide the pace but because they're not doing anything fancy, most people underrate him. Experienced badminton player will know that it is very difficult to have partner like Kevin, you need to have excellent skills too.
Minions are unstoppable unless they are having off day. Kevin is an amazing front court player with many creative shot with precision angle so that Marcus can finish it off with awesome powerful smash. Together they will rule the men’s doubles for many years to come. Stay healthy, injury free & keep us entertain with that fast & furious badminton.

I read an Indonesian reporter's blog, she had been following Indonesia's badminton team wherever they go and she asked Kevin why he's so cocky in the court and Kevin answered that he won't start the war when the opponent not start it first, some player will mocking Kevin or Marcus if they're failed in service and people just know that Kevin is cocky while they're don't know what happened before that.

Zhang nan and Kamura might be able to challenge them on their best day. Problem is they are too inconsistent with their performance. I think on top of all their technical skills, marcus kevin are the most focus and persistent MD player right now (even in the rare chance that they got beaten, it is happened in the final stage, not in the prelims or early stage) and thats what made the difference.
Why's everyone complaining about being Kevin only in the video? From my perspective the video is all about who can challenge Kevin when it comes to front court battles since that's where Kevin really shines at. I'm sure Gideon is equally appreciated like Kevin too and there are also videos dedicated to the Minions as a pair and a champion shining together.

Zhang nan are great player, too bad his partner arent at the same level with him.
Liu yuchen are good, despite his weird gesture he is fast, has good reflex, and strong mentality. But when it comes into mental game with duo Minions, Li jinhui always comes out to be the weakness of the pair. Its as if he cant stand the heat of the game.
Kamura are the fastest one among those chalenger. But thats all he can do. Rushing the game playing as fast as possible. Those style of play easily countered by Kevin at Dubai ssf semifinal.
Im looking forward into LYD back on court with his new pair and Yuta Watanabe from Japan to challenge Kevin.
Maybe zhan nan can join with liu kai..

IMO, Zhang Nan is the best counter at the moment. He fights with his brain, a quick thinking type. Meanwhile I think Kamura is the second person with reflex matches Kevin's. However Kamura/Sonoda is too textbook as a pair.

Agree, Zhang Nan is best men double player, he is olimpic gold medal,olimpic mix double gold medal, world champion, Asian gold medal, sudirman cup gold medal, Thomas cup gold medal and win many super series title. Kevin can't compare with he. Age 27year old he become legendary.

Zhang Nan is a very experienced player and he gave a good correction to Kevin/Gideon in Denmark, but the way Kevin gets better and adapted in few months is just desclanising

Both of them have different style, Lee Yong Dae - defensive and Setiawan more attacking, it's not easy to change their playing style after long times. Even Hendra Setiawan was already said that when he paired with Tan Boon Heong, it was difficult for him since TBH had a defensive style, unlike him and most Indonesian player.

Kamura was on fire in that tournament (Dubai SSF), no wonder if Kevin - Gideon lost to them in group stage, beside that Gideon had a problem with his neck since Day 2, they were managed it with more defensive in SF against Kamura - Sonoda , even they made Kamura stayed on the base line bcs he's so crazy in front of the net 🙈. Remember 100+ shots? Hahaha . But Kamura - Sonoda still unstable even worse this year, hmm.

Those comments about Gideon. Would you just stop it, you are the ones who discrediting him by doing that. This question is all about front player not about the pair itself.
It is obvious to win over the minions is to FIRST challenge Kevin at the net and win it consistently, before you can win over the pair. And so far, not many pairs have a front player who can equally match Kevin.
I think Zhang Nan could do it but he is always too busy covering his partners most of the time (both MD and XD). Just dump XD already!
Kamura may match the speed but not the creativity skill and killing power.
Boe is a clever player and the Danes are good as a pair but I am not sure if he can challenge Kevin on his own.
Li/Liu is always a great contender against the minions. They have great offense and always manage to corner Kevin/Marcus many times before. But between Liu and Kevin, it is more like a fury contents rather than a cool calmed net play battles.
Hendra Setiawan can match Kevin in skills but you can't deny the age differences, slower reflexes and all. But we will never know.

The way Kevin and Marcus are playing right now is phenomenal. They are virtually unstoppable. Let's say they were pitted up against a Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong, Fu Hai Feng/Cai Yun, Setiawan/Ahsan or a Boe/Moegensen, all in their prime. Do you guys think they would have the same success? The Problem is that Kevin and Marcus are the only MD of the new Generation that is consistent. Look at Goh/Tan. They were brilliant in 2016 but couldn't keep their Level up through the years.
We have to see until the end of the year. If Kevin/Marcus keeps winning their matches under 40 minutes/average 35 minutes then they definitely have the chance to compete against those legends even better than them
+haifeng Fu They looked powerful because they had many chance to smash a lot. What if Kevin/Gideon keeps giving flat fast shots to Fu Haifeng's backhand side and won't let Fu uses his powerful smash that much?
They always had problem playing against Hendra Setiawan/Kido/Ahsan who likes to play flat shot, and Kevin/Gideon is faster than them.
