Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to help folks learn harmony parts to hymns and not to sound perfect. These recordings will sound a touch raw for a few reasons; I am not a trained singer, I am using very simple recording hardware, my recording 'studio' is a couple of spare mattresses set on end to eliminate unwanted sound reverberations.
If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.
My recording process:
-Record each part on a Rode NT1-A to a Zoom H4 recorder
-Some pitch correction in Melodyne
-Mix in Mixcraft 6
-Combine audio and sheet music in Corel VideoStudio X7
-Music is typeset in Finale v26 by me or borrowed from PDHymns.com

Not sure where you got the notion that this song isn't still sung in churches. It's been sung in every (churches of Christ) congregation our family has been a part of for the last 30-40 years.

Great recording! Excellent song selection! Might you consider adding a few ladies (and other gentlemen) to fill-out the sound? Having your singular voice (auto-tuned??) Gives the performance a bit of a mechanical feel, IMHO.
My request is a song by Knowles Shaw called "I am the Vine and Ye are the Branches." I cannot find the exact date of the composition of the song, but Mr. Shaw was an evangelist who lived from 1834-1878.

@@Wordwagonwell, it's not as if copyright applied only on TH-cam. Copyright is a worldwide concept and applies just as much to copyrighted hymns or praise and worship music as to any other kind.

Not for a copyrighted song. You would have to purchase a song book/hymnal that had it in it or buy a PDF from a publisher. If you need help finding either, I can try to help.
Just so you know, most of the songs this channel records are in multiple hymnals that you can buy either new or secondhand. Common extensive hymnals used by a cappella congregations include _Songs of Faith and Praise_ (which includes more songs from the last few decades than some of the more established songbooks do) or _Great Songs of the Church_ . Many of the same songs popular in churches of Christ also appear in the _Baptist Hymnal_ . Just examples of hymnal titles you could search for on second-hand sites if you don't have bookstores nearby that might sell them.
