Nice to see such a different culture. Amazes me all the time, and will probably continue doing so! "Dislike" for not enough Yakuza references :D

It's unfortunate, but if you're visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, etc. then YOU are the overtourism. 😅Nah, I get it though. It sucks being excited for these amazing places only to realize/feel like you're surrounded by 10,000 copies of yourself.
I highly recommend visiting Tohoku instead. It's gorgeous, and there's...like no one there.

Yeah, I understand. I am not saying I am not a part of the problem haha. Though I think it is better to tell the truth in a video about how we felt instead of just saying that everything was perfect.
Thanks for the suggestion, I really want to visit Sendai at some point.

I am wondering why if you were annoyed by the overtourism did you actually go to the same locations everyone go in Kyoto, there are so many other things to do there...the overtourism exists because every person visits the same sites.

You definitely have a point. I was annoyed by overtourism because I did not expect it to be that bad, haha. We had one day at Kyoto, and it was our dream to visit those places, so yeah, not much choice there. Next time we are Kyoto, we will definitely go somewhere else, do you have any suggestions?

00:12 since you expected Sakura, **what dates were you there** ? I am planning to go next spring and hoping to see sakura of course. Wouldn't want to miss it like you did :(

We were from around 27th of March to 4th of April. It was precise dates for Sakura blossoms to start, but because it was unusually cold for the few weeks before that, the blossom season was delayed for a maybe 10 days.
So yeah, there’s always a chance to miss it even if you come on the precise prediction dates. Good luck :D

@@yntravelling Oh wow.. I am exactly planning a trip next year that will be approx. around the last 2 weeks of March - Early April. Do Sakuras last only around mid April ? Because if they last around until May I could reschedule the trip to the start of April or something.
      Thanks for the info.

It’s a bit different every year, but there are couple of “blossom maps” that start to emerge around February-Early March that show approximate start dates for every region of Japan. You can check sakura.weathermap.jp, it’s a nice resource for Sakura tracking.
