It also had less fat in the beef and the sour cream was fat free. Those didn't last very long. There was also a release of some specialty tacos, I wanna say, in the mid 90's that there were three varieties of. They each had a different sauce, one had corn in it, one had black beans, can't remember the third unique item. The sauces were awesome though. They were cream based. One was green in colour, one was pink, kinda like thousand island dressing, the other was light brown and had a smoky element to it. That was my favourite one. Wish I could remember what they were called. And finally, my absolute favourite item, the Cheesy Beefy Melt. Which was a Meximelt on steroids, without the nasty fiesta salsa.
This has a glaring error. What you call the gordita is actually a cheesy gordita crunch. The original gordita was just the flatbread. what got me hooked on the bell in the mid 2010s were the loaded grillers and quesoritos. i remember when the loaded grillers were $1 from 2-5pm during happy hour. those were the days
Think i read somewhere they were only in the pacific northwest so most people don't even know. they were better than tater tots, they were shredded thinner and just different than tots. similar though. Really wish they would bring them back more than anything but i dont think it will happen. I used to get a pinto and cheese and mexi nuggets and put the nugs in the pinto..... so fire.
Having worked at Taco Bell as my first HS job somewhere around 2015-2016, I'll say that you missed one promotion item that I was absolutely in love with when they did it. It was their "$1 Crunchwrap sliders" that came in different ways. You also forgot the absolutely goated Taco Bell Grillers they had. The Chipotle Chicken Griller Beefy Nacho Griller and Loaded Potato Griller. Never forget what they took from us.
"Every item"? You are missing a ton. Also important to note, in early 90s (1991-1992), Taco Bell had a "Lite" menu, which was aimed at making slightly lower calorie items and had a "lite sour cream". You missed all of the nacho items, such as Nacho Bell Grande, and when TB changed it from normal tortilla chips to the air fried chips they serve now. You missed the 8 layer burrito, which was a 7 layer with beef and was introduced at 99 cents. For movie promotions, 1995 saw the Congo promotion, which is were the "Fire" sauce originated from.
I didn’t see the loaded grillers. The loaded potato griller with bacon was by far my favorite thing they ever had! I wish everyday they would bring it back!
Woah how are you going to make a video of "every" Taco Bell item over the years and fail to mention the much beloved and very much missed molten concoction that was the caramel apple empanada?
I would love if they actually brought back the chili burger. Sounds super delicious! Also, the more recent Crispy melt taco! The combination of the white corn shell, and the nacho cheese and cheddar cheese was absolutely delicious! They say all good things come to an end, but why? 🤷🏻♂️💯😒😂
Yes! This! I thought it was funny that when they started again with the breakfast that so many people acted like they had never done it before. My husband worked there in the 90's and vivdly remembers how annoying it was to close at 2 am and then re open at 6 for breakfast.
7:47 As an obsessed Gordita lover, I have to point out that the original Gordita did NOT have a crunchy tortilla in it. The original Gordita was just a flour flatbread wrapped around the fillings. The Chalupa saw that flour flatbread get fried. Now, Taco Bell has the "Gordita Crunch" which brings a corn tortilla into the mix. Sacrilege! 😉
Unabashed Taco Bell lover here. The best item on the menu today, and it's not even close, is the breakfast crunch wrap with steak and Diablo sauce (something not mentioned). But back in the 1990s I virtually lived doff of Beef Meximelts.
As somebody on the East Coast also born in the 90's . Every Tacp Bell up here has always sold the Chili Cheese burrito. I get it almost every time I got to Taco Bell. I've been eating them since I was a kid back when they were only like 79 cents.
What about the Five Alarm Tacos? And the Cheesy Gordita Crunch? And the Texas Taco Sandwich-you used a clip from the ad with Jack Palance. And my favorite item from back in the day: the Three Cheese Melt?
My usual Taco Bell order is a beefy 5 layer burrito with a cheesy bean and rice burrito. I was disappointed when they dropped the double decker taco, however. But if they get it then you can bet i'll be sure to snag one.
How could you not at least mention some of the other well beloved Taco Bell items, like the Loaded Grillers they use to have? I'll never forget those smaller but still awesome burritos, especially the spicier Daredevil Grillers they had.
My favorite (discontinued) taco bell items were the XXL burritos and the fritos burrito, usually when I go these days I get the cheesy double beef burrito or chicken enchilada burrito.
I worked Taco Bell early 90s we had a Monterey jack chicken soft taco and a Ranchero steak burrito. I remember having to pump 2 different cheeses nacho and Monterey jack .
You forgot the nacho menu items, like the Nachos Bell Grande, and briefly there was a larger version of that in the early 00s, the Much Bell Grande Nachos, which I sorely miss. There have also been smaller nacho offerings on their various value menus.

I love their chili cheese burritos. A few years ago I figured out how to make the chili from them at home. Surprised how easy it is.
Ever try the Frito Burrito? It's the same but you add Frito chips to it. Awesome.
Hook us up. I’ve been missing those so much. ❤
@@therealwilfreddierkes9980 prep a pound of taco meat, add a 10oz can of red Enchilada sauce and a can of refried beans. Stir and add water to break up the beans and make the mixture smooth. It is a good all purpose chili sauce.
You can literally make a 7 Layer Burrito by customizing ingredients from the base burrito at $1.39.
They forgot to list The Meximelt which was my favorite. I'd order two and have one with chicken. It was cheap and satisfying back then.
You forgot Extreme Nachos from 93.
Those were so good! I can't quite describe the flavor, but it was my all time favorite
I liked the naked chicken chips and the fully loaded nachos. Two menu items you actually forgot to mention in the video. There are so many items released over the decades you would have to make a 2 hour video talking about them all.
One of a very few great narrators online.
what got me hooked on the bell in the mid 2010s were the loaded grillers and quesoritos. i remember when the loaded grillers were $1 from 2-5pm during happy hour. those were the days
How in the world did you miss Mexi Nuggets? There were on the menu for a long time. Seasoned little tater tots. They were amazing.
Chili cheese burrito and the big beef burrito supreme were my all time favorites 😍
If you want Taco Bell fries just come to Canada, we've had several varieties for at least 30 years. Fries Supreme are the best!
All of Canada would like to know why Fries Supreme wasn't on the list?
I really miss the XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito with steak, that was my jam
I was always kind of wary of Taco Bell when I was a kid, not sure why in hindsight. I love them now, they're one of my go-to weekend choices.
The 2014 breakfast is the second attempt at breakfast by Taco Bell. They had it for a short time in the early 90s.
Yes!
Sacrilege! 😉
This one was fun!
The Pocket Taco was wonderful .... $5.00 in 1992 could get you 3 tacos, a drink and cinnamon crisp. I miss those days.
Missed soft taco, and many more great items. The giant $5 nacho was my favorite
The 7 layer burrito was just the best, and I still can't believe they got rid of them.
The Doritos Los tacos test market was in Toledo OH. And man those things were(and still are) good.
Grilled Stuffed chicken burrito and the XXL Steak Nachos were the best since the Original Taco!!! 😮😂
You forgot the nacho menu items, like the Nachos Bell Grande, and briefly there was a larger version of that in the early 00s, the Much Bell Grande Nachos, which I sorely miss. There have also been smaller nacho offerings on their various value menus.
Nachos Bell Grande are my favorite but the crunch wrap is really good too
Gotta love those 80- mid-90's commercials
when i was in school they had taco bell buritos with a cat on the package it was beans and cheese with a red suase it was the best taco bell burito i ever had but trying to find it now seams inpossible anyway to find it and its ingridents so i can enjoy that child hood memory again please help us all thease buritos were exlusive to the school ied love to have it mde again this age and avilabe for all of us who remember them
The BLT soft taco was my favorite, hands down! Man were those good and they were out just as I started college so, perfect timing! 07:03
Caseoh is upset that you forgot the Steakhouse Burrito.
I haven’t seen it but for a while they have an enchilada bowl. Soooo good. Now they have a chicken enchilada burrito and it was a buck something. Now it’s like 2 something. And I missed the XXL steak burrito too. Now days I make a bean cheese and rice with steak or whatever. And I totally remember olives and miss those too. Oh and I also was mad when they got rid of the steak soft and I think hard tacos. They had a sauce that some lime sauce. The avocado isn’t the same.
You missed one. I loved their Frito Burrito. It was a chili burrito with Frito chips. It was super crunchy and delicious. But it may have been a Texas only thing.
Every Wendy’s menu item says the beginning
Left out so, so much. When did the quesadilla appear? Also, the Cheesy Gordita Crunch was introduced in 2001 and it changed my life. RIP Baja sauce.
