Agree. But isn't it hard? My early life was lived without the plethora of plastics. We didn't feel hard done by because we had never known a plastic dustbin sack or shopping carrier, or shampoo bottle. or sandwich bag. If you needed a drink, you went to a tap with a glass made of glass. ? How did these changes happen? All the plastics were made to make life easier...... and yes they did in a way. Milk in plastic containers instead of glass bottles that could be collected from the doorstep and returned to the doorstep the next day was a chore? Was it? When I look at my home now?

Plastic containers were introduced because they are cheap. Dairy companies replaced glass bottles and saved considerably by not having to collect and sterilise glass bottles.
As children we used to return glass 'pop bottles' to add to our pocket money - plastic bottles are simply dropped.

You are expected to do your part so he can fly his private jets. Look at how many times he flew last year to avoid traffic in UK, over 20. You will never "be mindful" enough to overcome that deficit. I feel sorry for you giving up things so a spoiled child can fly around to avoid traffic. I on the other hand am like Charles I will travel, use plastic staws, use air-conditioning, druve my gas guzzling car......the list goes on.

May King Charles III continue to speak of the critical need to protect our lands, seas, and nature from degradation that could otherwise occur if we fail to recognize the pressing need. Reasonable, sustainable use of lands and oceans must be demanded by all peoples of the world, and we must demand this of our political leaders. The political leaders must be educated and held to task. God Save the King and his words of wisdom on nature and our vital role as stewards of the planet.

I've read it this year. I enjoyed every page of it. I dare to say that my favourite part is about sacred geometry.
I must say that The Prince of Wales has dedicated his life to saving this planet. He has spoken about global warming, planetary health and human existence. I hive him credit for his persistence, for his speeches and for speaking out and pushing forward on these incredibly important issues. Well done, Sir.

Scientists are finding plastics in our lower lungs and bloodstream. Charles is right about how crucial it is that we act now, if it is not too late already. If he cannot attend the conference, I am sure this will have meaning to those in attendance because he's a pioneer.

When your title was Prince Charles I listened & watched your address to the students & faculty at Georgetown University in the states. Hence I'm aware you realize the dire seriousness of the overall environment & human sustainability on earth.
You also know there are approximately 8 billion people on earth & it's going to be impossible to sustain due to the drastic environmental damage if it continues much longer.
As you're well aware the earth is our host and immediate action needs too be taken by all countries if we're going to survive.
Personally I think you should be the major global spokesperson on this issue - you're very intelligent Sir & extremely well educated on the issue of life's sustainability on earth.
I think the more you speak on these major issues the sooner the odds of them being actually worked on & hopefully fixed/repaired in all countries.
Sir, as you know the overall environment is a global issue & it's a moral issue as well.
As you so eloquently stated we are the stewards of life on earth & I personally think people & other countries leaders, citizens, etcetera will listen & then realize how serious this issue truly is. Meaning I think you Sir can really expedite not only public awareness but also a long overdue solution.

I am in full agreement with the Prince of Wales but I must say that in reference to " climate change " @ 0:38 / of 8:56 and " global warming " @ 1:25 / of 8:56 These two ( 2 ) areas should not be conflated with the main problems because, Our star the sun is an electrical device with a ` liquid metallic core ` sheathed in type one ( 1 ) and type two ( 2 ) Hydrogen metallic lattice which forms a real surface. Currents of plasma known as ` Birkland ` currents interact at that level causing the emissions of all energy from the sun. The electronic / electromagnetic environment of the sun the Earth and the cosmos is fully responsible for all climate change / global warming and not any green house gases. It is good for the world that now King Charles III speaks up for the planetary systems of the oceans, land, and nature that support us all. His recognition we are stewards of the land and oceans is a critical insight that all of us and all huge corporations must now take into account. Humans have become so powerful that we have changed the fundamental climate of our world. As King Charles III puts it so well, good management of fisheries, farmland, forests, and wildlands is absolutely imperative to leave our children a livable planet. I pray that corporate leaders and the billionaires of the world all come together to take urgent action to create a sustainable blue economy. We need to protect at least 30% of the ocean to keep it heallthful and productive! Thank you, King Charles III!

An 18 jet flight display for his official birthday doesn't really fit well with a concern for the environment. Its a bit much people with a lavish lifestyle lecturing others that they need to cut back for the sake of the environment.

Have Charles explain why the "little ice age" ended? Ask him why the little ice age began. Instead of talking about climate change, he should concentrate on ocean pollution and uncontrolled fishing. He mentions those things in his speech but they are mentioned as asides. His emphasis is on climate change - which has not been proved.

Re electric cars purchases: I dont know how the average person will afford one to be honest. Its a worry. Hope the equivalanet to the oceon international conservation committee agrees a map plan ... It sort of makes you wonder when we try to cut down on our own impact on the environment and people are bombing in Ukrain and invading nuclear plants. Keep up the good work finding a way forward
