We get foehn winds here in Sydney usually in between winter and spring. It will be snowing in the windward side of the mountains and it will be warm and sunny here. Very interesting stuff.

Overall, the video was GREAT, except the first 30 sec. The video explains foehn winds the best I have seen -- the perfect balance of helpful science, that is thoroughly explained, and visuals. However, the distracting and mostly unrelated introduction might cause some to stop watching the video, although it is well worth watching. I would also recommend using a human narrator instead of a machine. (although that is not a show-stopper) I would happily watch more of this kind of video and recommend the series if more were produced. I am a content strategist and am picky -- so I had to stop and give praise to the excellent content here -- great job!

Also - another reason to use a human narrator - I am pretty sure the term is being mispronounced. It should be pronounced "fern" (like a furn-ace or the plant) -- not "fone".

The term is being mispronounced. My science textbook states that it's like saying 'fern', but with the 'r' sound omitted. I also prefer that content creators use human narrators whenever possible. Still, the explanation is clear and easy to understand. And I remember reading the Little House books as a child, and Laura Ingalls Wilder embracing the 'Chinook blowing'. The sudden warmth melted the prairie snow and was a sign of approaching Spring after a bitter winter.

That is correct. In Switzerland it is beneficial because it creates a good climate for grapes to grow , but it can also cause problems like flooding when all the snow melts at once, or it can cause fires like in California.

Why wouldn't you narrate yourself? I think it's a great vid maybe redo?
