  • Today's location: Flagstaff, Arizona, about 130 miles North of Phoenix, AZ. I visit Buffalo Park and show you one of the places to go and things to do in Flagstaff, AZ! This is one of the places I go for my summer escapes from the Phoenix heat!

I am not sure what the job prospects are for truck drivers. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but it's not something I'm in the know about.

I have been enjoying you and your family! You are an amazing Dad and husband. Your wife is fortunate to find you! I have learned a lot about Arizona and would like to move there in four years. I still have four more years with the company I am at ( I work and live in Seattle) and I think it is a great state to retire in. I will keep watching your cool videos, I have not been to the grand canyon, maybe you can take us there..lol

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you have been enjoying the videos. I was working on hitting the Grand Canyon this summer but didn’t get a chance to. I will definitely be visiting there in the future though! lol

Love the video! But keep the winters. Have enough snow here in the east!

Hey, I love you're videos and you have a really lovely family. I'm moving to Scottsdale with my girlfriend (who is originally from there) so your videos show me the places I'm gonna live and go on weekends! I'm from the UK so the landscape/climate couldn't be much more different. Flagstaff is for sure a place I'll frequent in the summer months when the valley gets unbearably hot. Question: would you ever attempt a hike like Humphrey's Peak in the summer or do you think it would get too hot? Thanks :-)

Thanks for your comment. I would hike at Humphrey’s Peak in the summer. You won’t get the kind of desert heat you will find in the Phoenix Valley. I would still of course take plenty of water and start early. June would be the best time, because you aren’t yet in the thick of monsoon season (the rains are heavy and it can actually get a bit chilly in that neck of the woods if you get hit with a storm). In May you may still find snow and it’s very windy. When I was visiting Flagstaff, I couldn’t access Humphrey’s Peak because the area was closed due to fire risks. So always check that before you go as well.

Thanks so much for your detailed reply -- I'll be sure to heed all of this advice when we prepare for our trip! Can't wait to see more of your videos in the near future and maybe catch you again in the comments section!
      Have a wonderful day,
      Dan
