    Hang in there, guys. Spring to Summer transition in Minnesota/Michigan (places like that) are awesome. You literally get to watch the whole area/plant life/environment come out of this deep freeze and lush up. It's amazing, and IMO, worth the long winter.

    Having lived all our lives in Wisconsin, we are now spending our very first winter in the absolutely beautiful state of Arizona. We do not miss the weather in Wisconsin, not the snow, not the cold, not the grey skies, not the driving in the snow and ice, and especially the lack of sunshine. We arrived in Arizona in August of 2021 and have lived every bit of being here. We love the beautiful mountains, the sunshine ☀️ and if we would really want to, which so far we don’t, we could always head to Flagstaff if we want to see the snow. Have yourselves a wonderful time in Michigan. We totally understand your need to be back there and that your reason for being there is what really matters for you and your family. ❤️

      @@venk777 Why do you think Maureen needs to wait for summer? She said they moved there in August, smack dab in the middle of summer. They've already experienced the worst AZ has to offer in terms of heat.

    • @TX3842553
      @TX3842553 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree with Maureen. I grew up in New Hampshire, was stationed five years in Germany, and spent another 15 years in Washington State, much of which was in the foothills of the Cascade Mts. I'm done with cold rain, snow, gray skies, icy roads, and the severe lack of sun. It's gotten so bad in Washington that even in the summer, which used to be the best time of year, you have to seal up your home (just like as if it were winter) and stay inside because the air quality is sooo bad from all the fires in eastern Washington, British Columbia, and Oregon that our skies are putrid yellow and it's difficult to breathe if you're outside regardless how healthy you are. No thank you. I'm done with the upper-tier of the U.S. and look forward to spending my remaining years in not-perfect-but-perfect-for-me Arizona.

    We moved back to MI after 11 years in AZ. It has been great, even the cold. The snow is beautiful and we sit watching it snow. Our daughter still lives in AZ and has been complaining about the heat already starting and she is now planning on moving back in about a year after she is done with school.

    We moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 2006 from downtown Chicago to start family. The BEST decision of our lives. Traveled all over the country for years (I was born and raised in Europe) but nothing beats the most amazing sunsets in the valley and breathtaking beauty of northern Arizona with mountains and ponderosa pines, and Grand Canyon. The culture, great food, friendly people many of whom moved here like us, laid back lifestyle, outdoor adventures. It's all here. The best state to raise active and happy kids. No wonder so many folks move here every single day. Our only regret was not escaping Chicago even sooner.

    I've been wanting to move to AZ for a while. That's when I originally discovered your channel. I currently live in the Poconos and yes the winters suck. I usually vacation to Arizona because i enjoy the mountain views and bright blue skies. What ruined it for me was the price hike out there. As you guys know houses more then dubbled in Arizona and my house only went up maybe 50 thousand if I'm lucky. I'm currently mortgage free but the house is only worth like 240 thousand, and that wouldn't get me much in Arizona. Well, enough about me you have a good healthy family and that's all that matters. God has blessed you in so many ways looking forward to more videos, stay safe..🙂

    • @LivinOurDreamz
      @LivinOurDreamz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It wasn’t exactly cheap, because home prices are up everywhere, but we are happy with how much more house we got in Michigan for the money then we could have in the Valley. And we’ve seen our family more in the last year than we have in awhile. Always things to be grateful for, even when we’re cold and missing the warm weather. lol It’s crazy how much the cost of living has changed in AZ and a lot of people feel your pain regarding having to change moving plans. Hopefully it’s just a delay, home prices will come back down to earth and you’re able to make it happen in the future.

    It can be tough; I moved to Ohio from Florida in February 2005; some winters are better than others; this year was AWFUL; took 5 days to chip away at the ice, sleet, snow from the driveway. Today I cleared almost all the ice (2" - 3") on the deck which faces north and no sun. My friends just got back from Florida; guess what I'm thinking? Yup, then I remember July and August humidity and bugs and I'm happy again in Central Ohio.
