They were “ THE” band to TONS of rock fans in the 70’s. I couldn’t ever get past their costumes to give them a fair chance but I liked this song and their other hit song called “Beth”. I highly encourage you to hear it or review it. 💞

Kiss was terrific, and I remember attending a Halloween concert they did. Dressing up as the band for their shows and Halloween was a thing for a few years too. Great to have you back again.
“Hard Luck Woman” is one of my favorites. They were early in the game with pyrotechnics. This is their only disco-ish song and they caught a lot of flack about it from fans. “Detroit Rock City” is more of their vibe.

There was a KISS comic book that came out in the 70s. All the members were suddenly superheroes with their face makeup and elaborate clothing. Allegedly, the ink in the comic contained blood from all the members.

The story goes that Paul Stanley, the lead singer in this song, wanted to prove he could write a disco song. He went home, put a drum machine on 120 bpm, and wrote this song in a short time. Gene, the guy with the tongue is a marketing genius. Their name is on everything and getting paid well for it.
Ah, the 70s/80s - - when "straight" men could wear make-up, eye-liner, long flowing hair, and shiny outlandish costumes and be accepted with open arms. Yet most people were scared to death of gay men! My brother loved this band and I have to admit, I liked a couple of their songs too (this one and Beth being my favorites).
I think it is time to rewind a bit and perhaps react to U2 again. You and your brother did some great reactions to them but there is much more of their catalogue to listen to. Wishing you the best!
