I am SOOOO TORNNNN. I've had a casual YT and soc media presence for a few years off and on, and now that I'm retired and 61, restarting - but i've had this name for so long, it's going to take a while and such a hassle for me to switch things around (all the email and site connections...). I dunno... I KNOW it's a really good point to have the focus of your channel in the name, but... 🤷♀Le Sigh... 😆 Unless I name it "Hey, Old People! Let's Enjoy Each Others Company and Talk About Ageing!" Boringgggg...😆Right now my brain is formulating my current "name" - That's What "i" Said (my name starts with "i") It's going to be me talking to older people, and creating a community of us helping each other, with a bit of comedy and entertainment (possibly skits thrown in there - it's still growing in my brain, ok? 😆) because it is a weird and wonderful and tough time for so many. I want it to be a place for "old people" (too harsh to call them that?😁 Maybe not, as it's Boomers and GenXers who are a whole diff breed 😄) to feel like they have friends and are heard and not alone, with diff perspectives too. Thoughts appreciated; I'll throw it all into the mix while I figure out details along the way... ♥
Is it about just you? Or will it be for the audience? Call it something they would remember, can easily recommend and search for. Ask your audience for suggestions, without telling your thought up new channel name yet...
lol my TH-cam name is something I am in two minds about! My channel is about trains and transport. I wanted a unique word that didn’t have the word “rail” or “trains” in it, as I wanted to cover other forms of transport as well. In a supposed stroke of genius I came across this word, loved it and used it…. it is the Welsh word for “Railway”. I thought it’s unique enough I could reserve it on all social media platforms, it doesn’t imply that it’s entirely trains and railway, and I went to Wales/UK a few years ago and loved it and it’s a good reminder of that! However, then became the downside I would later have to accept…. how to spell it, Welsh isn’t the most straightforward language to understand… and how to pronounce it, Welsh isn’t the most straightforward language to understand… 🤣🤣🤣 (I wonder what your colleague @That British Girl thinks of all that?) So now I am at a crossroads whether I continue using this name or not. I’m happy to continue with it, I’m also committed now I have T-Shirts and clothing printed with this logo on it…. Don’t change it after you get more than 1000 subs other wise will be difficult to lift the views I say by experience
