Glad you like the new Nanmen Market compared to the old one. And I’m glad they kept the tradition and flavor of the old one for the new. Wow the market is huge! I can’t believe it even has a basement level! Thanks for taking us along!

I honestly don’t know for sure if they take credit cards either foreign or domestic. I’ve always pay cash when I’m at markets. If I had to guess I would say they’re probably all cash only. Next time I’m walking by Nanmen I’ll go in and check and see some of the vendors if they take credit cards or not.
@@AmaiwanTraveler Thank you for your response. How convenient is it to withdraw cash from the ATM? I've been reading forums and visitors seem to find it hard to locate and withdraw using their foreign cards.
I’ve never needed to use an ATM in Taiwan as I have a local bank account that I transfer funds from my US account to Taiwan account. I do believe at one time you could use Citibank ATMs but I don’t believe they’re doing business in Taiwan anymore. You may want to go to one of the foreigner groups they may have a better answer for you.
