      When I went to an adoption event and ask to see my boy they handed me this big pup and he started licking my face, I never set him back down. I knew immediately he was mine! I think the minute she approached him that was it, but it's cool the adoption people gave that extra push by asking her to give him a walk, bonded them. I love this story!

      That's what you get out of this vid, no kids no man. She's young, who knows what her relationship status is. What a horrible person she is taking care and loving another living being that was in a shelter. Who knows wen he could of been put down. But instead he has changed a humans life in a positive way, especially a victim of sexual assault. Loosen up, it was a nice story about a women and her dog.

    • @joshua1201
      @joshua1201 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Noel Westwood It's not a sad substitute, a lot of introverts, myself included can't stand being around people all the time. So a dog is a wonderful replacement. Companionship, love , and none of the annoying baggage people bring to the table. I don't know if the woman in the video is an introvert but generally people that go through traumatic experiences like hers tend to go at least a little introvert.

    • @joshua1201
      @joshua1201 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My cats have really helped me though so much. One of them helps my anxiety. He follows me constantly (we call him my baby duckling) and let's me hold him and carry him like a teddy bear whenever I need to. He sleeps with me every single night. And my other cat can sense when I'm going to have a seizure. She will run over to me from wherever she is in the house and start acting weird until I allow her to frantically rub against my head. If I'm on the ground she will lay her body on mine and kind of push down with her weight (kind of like what some therapy dogs do) I've never trained either of them i just feel so intune with them that they know what i need and i know what they need. It's an amazing feeling being connected to animals like that.

I called him son even though, that wasn’t his name and I am heartbroken without him, his absence is so painful and only now, I truly understand the depth of the peace he brought to my life and, the gravity of my loss, I miss him so desperately. He was one of the great loves of my life, I’ve had several dogs, I loved them all but, the difference is he really understood me and provided me with a sense of peace and gratitude that I’m so fortunate to have experienced. The fact he was equally devoted to my daughter is also so special and, we share the heartbreak but, just as importantly the gratitude that we were blessed, to be his people.

      @Brian What are you talking about? My pit bulls have been nothing but love and protection all my life. Had 6 in my life time and not a single one of them ever gave us a moment of worry as to their temperament or safety. Pit bulls aren't dangerous. As with any dog, it's the humans and how they raise them that make them dangerous. Even a chihuahua can be dangerous if taught to be so.

    • @JessieCristo
      @JessieCristo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Brian Ok, well thank you. But I'm 46 y/o and spent my entire life around pit bulls. We raised them to be like early warning systems for our property and to be part of the family. I, myself, have treated them like best friends and like my babies at times, lol, and we've yet to have even an instant of worry w/ any of them. We had one or two litter born from our pets but most of the pitties we got from adopting or giving shelter to strays we found on the streets. I guess for some dogs, not just pitties, it really depends on their mental state. Just as with people, some can be unbalanced.

If she did, he would probably still ask her about if she reported it or would say she is trying to 'get clout' for 'boasting about it'. One thing he is kinda overlooking is how, throughout their lives, A LOT of women are actually raped, whether it be by an uncle or priest when they were kids, a 'friend' who took advantage of them when they were drunk or husband who doesn't fully understand how consent works and has sex with her when she doesn't want it. Then one night she let out the deepest, most terrifying bark and growl. Heard a voice outside saying "OH S#!+ ,OH S#!+ ....BIG DOG, BIG DOG." After their car peeled out of the driveway, we went outside. They ran away so fast, they forgot to close the gate to the front yard. I have absolutely no doubt that "Pirate" would defend his human with his life if need be. Glad you found each other.

    I have two dogs, and having a similar story to hers they do give me immense amounts of purpose, love, sense of safety and security. I can't imagine my life without my furbabies. They have no idea how much I love and need them in my life. I hope they know how much I treasure their presence in my life.

    AWW this is s nice story. She's a beautiful woman and it's horrible to hear she went through such a dramatic experience. But she managed to pick herself up and with her new companion made it all better for her.
