I remember being so proud of learning my second upper octave, but not really understanding how to explain it, so teaching our new euphonium player has been challenging at best.

Your playing is great! Tongue position is a great tip! I did notice in your chromatic scale, after the high Bb you switch pivots and start pulling down instead of pulling up right at about 0:06. I have the same issue and I am working on fixing it. That tends to be the reason why my chops get destroyed after playing to many high notes coming from the low range

as a beginner whos self taught i had no idea youre not supposed to change your embouchure! I just assumed thats how you did it. no wonder my high notes sounded so awful
