My grandpa issued me a loan. We worked out a payment plan and I got his bank information. It gets paid via direct deposit and I haven’t missed a payment since the first deposit date. To show my appreciation as well I pay for his cleaning service which obviously is not a part of the loan and I made it very clear it doesn’t go toward the loan.
One thing I cant stand is when people beg for money then get mad and say you're HOUNDING them. Like goto hell... You harassed me for the money and now that I want it back, I'm a nuisance? This is why I say no everytime now. This has happened to me way too many times.

I'm glad they were able to put this behind them. She appreciated his honesty and asked a few questions but not too hard.

To me it would depend on the discussion. Some people will ask for a loan that will be repaid on their next payday. And it might not have been a full repayment that was asked about. I have had someone pay me back as $100 a month.

To the grandson.."go on a diet. With the money you save you can pay back your granddad". There's no excuse for trying to screw over a family member.
Maybe its just me, but my grandpa (or anyone else) would never have to remind me of a loan that they made it to me. I’m never going to consider that someone is just giving me $1500. To me, it will always be a loan. I can’t just take money like that from someone. I’m paying you back. I don’t understand people who think like that. “Well he didn’t say it was a loan so its not a loan.” Really? $1500? That just sounds so entitled to me.
