Thank you for giving laminate some love! I was going to go with Spring Carnival for my bathroom counters, but got a great deal on quartz remnants with white quartz with light gray veining at a granite boneyard near my house a few year back. I do have a busy Wilsonart laminate with lots of veining (Trinidad lapidus) paired with painted oak cabinets (Sherwin Williams Cityscape) in my kitchen. Laminate can look like granite or quartz, and, just like you shared, it needs to be high quality.
It's so true, there are saome amazing laminates that are SO underrated - hopefully this will get people checking them out. And it sounds like you got a few good ones :)
Thank you for doing a more indepth look at finishes with honey oak! We love our cabinets (well not the cathedral style but at least we have hidden hinges lol). Would love a video on what type of cabinet door style would be better to make it more updated.
What do you recommend for flooring with Oak cabinets - are their any rules of thumb regarding colors of countertops and flooring or cupboards matching flooring etc? I am so confused! Thank you!
Hi, I appreciate this so much so with the Carrera Blanco what kind of backsplash would you recommend? Would it look very cheap if I went up the wall with it? Ty!!
Ooooo. Okay, my first thought is that no matter what you choose, I feel like the black grout lines seem a bit harsh. There's this product called Grout Renew where you can 'recolor/restain/seal' your grout. It's not hard AT ALL (I did it in 2 homes and didn't even scrub my grout as the prep suggested). I was super happy with the results. I'd lean towards a grout that blends with your tile floor or is a subtle shade lighter or darker. THEN...I'd go for light taupe or white with some good taupe/veins/interest in it.
Very helpful! Thank you!!

We picked river gold with our cabinets. Love it!
YES YOU DID - love the sounds of this.
We just order river gold as well! I love how you can pull grays, browns, gold and even black out of it.
This os so helpful and timely. Thank you!

Or just get rid of the Oak! Paint it!
That's one way to do it, but some of us looooove our oak!
