We can't wait to share our solar install video. It took Jared and I (mostly Jared) 35 hours. I couldn't have done without him. For RV DIY content, check out All About RVs ➡️th-cam.com/users/allaboutrvs
You guys are just the most awesome family. I can't even imagine you ever not getting along. Or being frustrated with each other. I love you all. A FAN from Lubbock, Texas.
Each and everyone of our big mistakes - have been due to that rushed feeling that we ourselves created. Taking your time is so important - and the dip - it happens all the time and getting over it - not allowing that dip to ruin your time - great stuff guys!
I received our shirts today, thank you.. We are so excited to have the summer of our dreams this year with us going to 5 national parks around America. So, KYD get ready for a photo of us at each location. KYD is AWESOME!!!!
You guys are such wonderfully cheerful people. I applaud your fabulous togetherness as a family. That balloon snippet was amazing. I wish you health and happiness for your onward journey. God bless xx
“25 hours a week”, to edit your videos. Wow! I did not realize it was so long. Yet the time spent clearly shows in the quality of your videos. Thanks for your efforts and keep up the good work.
Thank you, both. Sometime on the road, I look forward to a shared glass. Meanwhile, may we all "mind the dips" in our lives with love, curiosity and compassion. Safe travels up north.
Wow I can’t believe season 4 is in the books already. Really looking forward to seeing the upgrade videos to come really love them. Can’t wait to see Alaska season 5 love you guys.
My wife and I recently purchased our first RV, after a couple of decades hiatus from RVing. We had diverted into the cruise ship scene which we did enjoy but finally reached our limit. We had camping experiences along the way as well, even joined a couple of camping clubs, but we mainly rented their “cabins” or stayed with friends in their RV. So after both of us retiring a couple of years ago, we decided we needed to go a different route and started the search for our own RV. Once we realized we needed to modify (not compromise) our expectations, after watching your channel and ‘All About RVs’, we found a used 2015 Forest River Flagstaff Micro-lite 25KS, which is perfect for the two of us. Thank you for the great insights and encouragement you provide. We look forward to watching future videos.
Sean-That book was very incredible. I know what you mean about the harsh reality Eugene wrote. I served 38 months in Vietnam in the Pacific theater and, while my war wasn't a piece of cake, the battles those WWII men went thru gained my utmost respect. Only thing missing was the smells in the humid air. War is not fun. it's not a video game that lets you win points or do-overs...And you just don't come home the same boy you were when you left. It never leaves you..you just make friends with it or go crazy. Thanks for your tribute.
"Mind the dip" priceless advice. Traveling is stressful and expectations can be a trip killer. I hope and pray i can find the go with the flow thing you guys have found.
I have watched a lot of youtube videos, but have never really desired to watch every video on any channel. I have been binge watching all your videos because I love the content, but really love the transparency and authenticity with which you present your travels. I feel like I am a member of the family, so thanks for taking me on your journey! I have been inspired.
Two seasons ago I was a little sad about you leaving Mexico, but everywhere you go and all the things you do are magnificent. I am so in love with the Banff area. And while I've seen the Grand Canyon, I've never seen Arches and the many other places you took us. I loved our recap. I remember all of them. What an awesome season. I know nothing about vehicle and/or rv maintenance. Even thoughI don't have one I think it's great that you are videoing all the upgrades and maintenance. It's good for everyone to be aware of the types of things that come up. As others have mentioned, I think a checklist when setting up and when breaking down, even what to pack/carry would be a great idea for you to include in another video. I'm soooo looking forward to seeing Alaska through you guys. You do such an awesome job. 25-30 hours of editing is a lot of time, but you guys do an awesome job and it pays off. I haven't done video yet, but I enjoy amateur photography. Thanks for everything, and God speed.
Thanks for all the thought, planning, hard work, honesty, and artistry that goes into your videos. We love the great chemistry you both have when together on camera. Looking forward to Alaska, but can never get enough of your photography and videography in the southwest and the northwest. The kids are amazing too.
You will LOVE Alaska. We have lived here for 5 years and it has been quite the adventure. When you are in Anchorage be sure to stop at Moose's Tooth Pizza!! It's the BEST! Safe travels!
Congratulations on your huge donation! I've worked for non-profits like this and hearing the good news brought tears of gratitude to my eyes. Keep up the good work.
Your videos are so helpful and entertaining. I need to start from the beginning and binge watch all of them. I need to learn as much as I can before taking the plunge!
Awesome video! Thank you so much about mentioning the ease of someone that is disabled to view areas in different parks. I am a a retired disabled veteran (USAF) and have to use a scooter at times, but I am determined to be able to keep moving and seeing as much of the country as possible. Thank you for being the inspiration that you are!
I am excited to follow your Alaska journey. But I am extremely interested in your upgrades. You folks have become my favorite site bar none. I watch about 6 sites and learn something from them all. You folk infuse your excitement in your video's and in doing so you get us excited. Thank you for putting out all the unseen effort and work so we can enjoy your experiences.
All the hours of hard work really shows in the quality of your videos and we appreciate it. We also appreciate the positive vibes you guys put out. Almost feel guilty that we get it for free! 😁
Glad to see so much of Utah in your season 4. We love it here. You are correct on the weekend travel that is what we do and have based our channel around. Someday we will make it to a meet up. Keep up the good work. Stay safe in your travels. Congrats on your channels success.
I hope someday my family and I can start our dream . We are trying very hard to get it going . I admire you both and thank you for letting us into your lifestyle. It gives me hope
If you would have told me several years ago that I would be sitting in my living room at this time, binge watching KYD episodes on a rainy Sunday while eating Mediterranean cuisine and drinking red wine, I'd say you were nuts. Love your vids and all the info they provide. Busily stocking up the wish list for Amazon.com and counting down the days till the TT is in our driveway. Thank you! Can't wait for the Alaska trip!
Looking forward to the next few "upgrade's" video's. That's where we are with our Cougar. I'm enjoying all the great video's of Utah and Arizona. Reminds me of when I was trucking threw there. Utah always reminds me of the Road Runner cartoons.
Great video tips! We love Albuquerque and Santa Fe and visit almost yearly. It helps to have family there. We can't wait to visit with our motorhome! Safe travels!
Marc, we are glad that you are going to Alaska before we do. This way all the details will be worked out for us, lol. Cant wait to see the videos. Thanks
Appreciate the RV newbie segment. We are picking up our 86 Airstream Saturday. The full time journey is just about to begin! Love you channel. Your camera work just gets better and better!
I have just discovered your site and am watching so many of your videos. We just bought our first 5th wheeler. Have had a pop up Coleman(with air conditioning) for many years. (have had a camper for many years and decided to go with something bigger since we retired. Anyway, thanks for all the tips and help. I especially loved the organizing your camper since that is what I am doing. Invaluable information!
"Mind the Dip" sounds like a great t-shirt idea...would create conversation within the lifestyle; I know I would ask what it means. Great videos and content, love the website too. Thanks!
Awesome! 💯! Glad we've been around from almost the beginning and have seen growth in in all areas that are great! Can't wait for our T-shirts in the mail! Thank you for your passion!
That Bell feature on TH-cam is awesome. Right click on it allows me to select the " back" option to go to the last video to click the thumbs up and the "forward" option to go to video I advanced to. There are other options too, however, these are my favorites so far. Keep up the daydream.
You folks are the BEST! This is Dave again and I still want to meet you guys on the way up to Alaska or at a place near Anchorage. We plan to spend our time in the Anchorage area. Hope to see all of you.
You two along with your three are doing an absolutely incredible job of showcasing your life and travel don’t change a thing thanks for sharing keep up the good work. 👊👍😎
You make a good point about recapping each trip and going over what went well, and what could improve. Where I work, we build and install conservatories, and after each project, we would have a company meeting--we call it a debrief--where we do just that, trying to improve our process and iron out the glitches, and reflect on what went well so we could continue doing it. On your trip to Alaska, if you get to Homer, I highly recommend seeing the Kilcher homestead, of "Alaska the Last Frontier" fame. It's fascinating hearing from a family member the history of the Kilchers and the homestead. It's free, but you do need a reservation. Also, Kilcher Road, the access road to the homestead, is not rv-friendly (although we did see a Class A make it through). It's a dirt road, with steep grades and tight switchbacks. But regardless, the scenery on Kachemak Bay is spectacular, and the history is fascinating. The Kilchers' website is kilcheralaskacabins.com/KILCHER_HOMESTEAD_LIVING_MUSEUM/KILCHER_HOMESTEAD_HOMEPAGE.html.
Can wait for the new stuff! Got my Summer to Remember t-shirt in the mail yesterday! Summer trips here we come. Our big trip this year is Virginia to Maine.
Hello from Florida! I just discovered you guys this weekend and I’ve been binge watching your videos and love all of them. Awesome family. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s sparking some dreams again that had dimmed. Looking forward learning more about RVing and building my own dreams of travel.
Tim, you're so lucky. I found them about 2 months ago and my 1-3 KYD vids per day is...sadly over. Now I can only get my Fix once a week! Enjoy it while it lasts!
Loved this video, especially the word of advice about getting through the dip! Brilliant. I am living in a hotel right now for my work (and will be for probably another month), and just to hold my place...and keep me happy while I am away from family and loved ones, I have started "keep your day dream" from the beginning. I think I am up to ep. 24 or so..Thank you for hours of joy and great humor...I get the biggest kick out of your kids. Thanks once again for all you do, the quality of your workmanship, and just for being so real, grounded and wise.
:) Thanks. Wow. #24. Lots to go. That's good. We never liked catching up to real-time with the channels we watch. Sometimes we get to the end and find out the last video was a year ago. What? You can't stop!
Great show. Alaska should be a fun trip. Drove the Alkan Hy as a teen with my family when we got stationed there. It is a great wilderness. Can’t wait to watch your adventure.
Took a break tonight from our you tube instructor “KYD “ to watch ....KYD !!!! Loving the video instructions Marc !!! Hubby and I are learning so much !!! So excited for Alaska !!!
Can't wait for Season 5! T-shirts are coming!! After the fiasco with our newly purchased Defective 5th wheel (roof all smashed in and no apparently they don't check the roof on trade-ins!!) We returned it and found ourselves having to purchase new to recover our money so brand spanking new Reflection Grand Design 29RS 5th wheel coming home in 2 weeks!! Then we are off to have the Summer to Remember!!
Hey Marc- got a little bit behind following your channel these last dozen days- I got a job at an RV show (Freedom RV) at the Spokane County Fairgrounds, and having never sold an RV, it was a huge enjoyable learning curve! I sold 4 RVs, and had a blast. I look forward to following your trip to Alaska, and let us know if you will be coming through eastern Washington / western Idaho, Ok? Thanks, and many blessings as you travel! Bob
Yes we bought our travel trailer so that we could do do much more with the family while the kids are on summer break 😊 we did our first trial run with the kids and camper about 2 weeks ago. It was 3 nights but a nice time. Our next one is like 2 1/2 weeks away it be like 8 nights and the kids are excited.
Hey, we are in Albuquerque! Love the Balloon Fiesta! We just picked up our Reflection 5th wheel today and are transferring all our stuff. What a job, it's like the clown trailer. Stuff just kept coming out of the old one. Keep up the fun videos :)
Alaska is going to be so fun. I am in Fairbanks right now visiting grandkids and lived in Homer for almost 20 years. I believe it is the most beautiful place in Alaska. Can’t wait to see it as you go. Darlene Lorentzson
My husband and I live in Prescott, and we have never heard of the campground you guys are at. We definitely need to look for it. Hope you enjoyed your visit to our little town. Thank you for sharing this video and can't wait to see Season 5 and your trip all around Alaska! Be safe!
Hey Mark Im hoping that your upgrades for the truck are an 8 inch lift kit some big ol 22" monster mudders, led light bar, heavy duty moose bumper guard and some chrome auto folding step bars. Then for the trailer an axle flip, air ride and 18" rims. I think you really need these. Ill be on your team when the little woman tries to talk you out of it lol. Looking foreards to season 5. Have a safe trip guys and keep the videos coming. My family and I can hardly wait for Sunday night to roll around.
Looking forward to the new season! We have already started a special savings account just to do the balloonfest! We will probably join in with the Fulltime Families group while there, but you know, that full hookup site is something to save for! *grin* Thanks to the entire family for sharing your adventures. Truly amazing!
We are going to camp in our driveway this weekend...we just bought a TT and want to practice before we leave on a 14 day trip in June! My husband and I have a competition, who ever forgets something and has to go in the house for it, they lose! I'm making lists for my lists!
Awesome vid! We've been watching your videos and absolutely love them! Great content! We live in Colorado and have camped and backpacked all over the Rockies. But now we've reached a point where we want to travel and explore more of the country other ways than hotels or boat camping in tents haha. Considered RV'ING for a while now, so we're in the process of finding a tow vehicle and a rig. You guys are a great inspiration and have demonstrated how to do it right and how to have a blast doing it. Hope to run into you guys out there someday!
Exciting stuff . We are in Fairbanks right now. It was a Amazing trip here, so much beauty to see along the way so many places to stop and rest and visit too . It took us 21 days to get from Yuma Az to Dawson City . The Top Of The World route is what we took into Chicken long bumpy road but take it slow and easy you’ll be fine . Safe Travels we enjoy watching your videos.
I'm so excited for you guys for your trip! The scenery is jaw droppingly SPECTACULAR! And this is coming from someone who lives in Vancouver, Canada. The road trip up there is amazing as well - our family especially loved Liard River Hotsprings and Watson Lake Signpost Forest. Happy trails!
Total Newbies 😃 We have totally enjoyed following your traveling adventures and watching your videos. We are also looking forward to the Anchorage meet up as we ourselves plan to be joining as “RV Lifers” in the near future.
Great recap. Very enjoyable. Anchorage is where I scratched off a bucket list item.....ride in a float plane. It was amazing. If you want to get an overview of Anchorage, take the Trolly Tour at the visitor’s center at 564 W 4th St. Anyway, I am looking forward to following your journey. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
This next season is sounding like so much fun. I have a friend in Alaska that keeps asking me to come up. Jarrod sounds like my kind of guy. I help so many people with their RV plumbing, electric, and leaks, I'll have to write down his web sight as a reference for my customers. Looking forward to receiving my t shirt, and hopefully buying a cheaper motorhome to take a trip to Rapid City South Dakota for a wedding next month. We'll see, I hope it all comes together. Great tips all the way around. I always recommend walkie talkies for communicating when backburner other things,as well as refer to driver side or passenger side saves a lot of confusion. Happy travels :-)
Love you guys!!! Thank you for all you beautiful videos and helpful tips. My family and I are selling our big house to go full time RV 🙌 Beyond excited. #oregon We love following your journey and look forward to your videos every week!!!
I love your videos!! I just discovered them and subscribed recently. I binge watched almost all of the videos over the weekend. My lifelong dream of RVing is about to come true later this year...retiring for the second time @ 57 yrs old. Great tips on your videos. Hope to maybe see you guys out there.
AH... Mind the Dip..... Sounds like tactics in my Anxiety and Depression Group. I have fallen into that trap for years and years. Remember that folks! GREAT ADVICE
Got my shirt and loved it! So glad for the heads that it runs small so thank you for that! We are not RVers yet but hope to one day and your instructional videos are such an eye opener and full of information that will help us be successful at it - hopefully! When you get back to Texas we would love to take you wakesurfing behind our Centurion Boat! Thanks again!
Something for a "newbie" or anyone that can be a bit forgetful, is a check list of items to check. We use them in aviation and it keeps you from forgetting a step in set up and disconnecting. Seems when I forget something it is from being interrupted. A check list will get you back on track.
hi guys i love upgrade videos lols i can learn too and yes i am as excited for your trip to Alaska as you are ---- i look forward too every sunday night ---- safe travels -- take care
Love your videos and travels. Your “newbie” suggestion about all things electrical ( my biggest fear) and looking up “All about RV’s was great, thank you!!
Just finished a weekend rendezvous to Blue Mountain Lake, Mount Magazine Arkansas. The weather was gorgeous, except for the humidity (welcome to summer in the mid-south). I'm looking to get my KYD SummerToRemember t-shirt this week, hopefully. Our next outing is to a local ACoE park along the Arkansas River that we call close to home. Then we won't go out for about a month...but that next trip will be our first one to an Arkansas State Park for a long weekend, and then we have a week-long trip planned for another Arkansas State Park near the AR-MS border.
I can't wait until your Alaska videos come out! With how well you edit and score them, I'm sure you'll make things like the aurora borealis even more amazing.
Stephen Paller here in Alaska you can’t see the aurora during the summer because it never gets dark enough to see them. Aurora viewing is a winter adventure 😉
akh2ogeek Yeah, I actually know that but since the KYD videos aren't real time and it'll take them some time to get up there, I guess I was hoping they could be there in early fall. Probably more wishful thinking on my part 😬
Yes, but they are current now. We're recording and releasing in the same week! Very stressful. We suspect the channel will start to lag behind as we hit more destinations than episodes. :)
In the army we call the talk at the end of trips or training A AAR (after action review) we did 3 ups and 3 downs then talk about improvements. Now I'm waiting for my shirts to come in.
New subscriber - have been following along for the last 4 to 6 weeks. My wife and I are looking to acquire our first travel trailer and find your videos fantastic. Thanks for sharing these great videos.
#makingmemories We just returned from our first weekend away with our new travel trailer. It was so #relaxing. I'm excited for our next trip....the Michigan coast line and Upper Peninsula!!!
We can't wait to share our solar install video. It took Jared and I (mostly Jared) 35 hours. I couldn't have done without him. For RV DIY content, check out All About RVs ➡️th-cam.com/users/allaboutrvs
It was a blast helping you with the install! Season 5 here you come!
Keep Your Daydream I love the upgrade and build videos!! Can't wait. Huge fan of Jared's channel.
You guys are just the most awesome family. I can't even imagine you ever not getting along. Or being frustrated with each other. I love you all. A FAN from Lubbock, Texas.

Giving back to such an amazing cause... wow, I’m humbled by you guys.

Can’t get enough of you two. Looking forward to all the upgrade vlogs.
Definitely in my top 3 favorite RV channels. Advice is always spot on, good content and always entertaining. Keep up the great work...

I Will be in Palmer, Chitna,Glenallen, Anchorage, Kenai this June. Flying up to visit family. You'll love it, keep it smooth!
So bummed that you were right here and I didn't get to see you. Love your videos and now I'm following all about rvs.
Awesome! 💯! Glad we've been around from almost the beginning and have seen growth in in all areas that are great! Can't wait for our T-shirts in the mail! Thank you for your passion!

Great video as always. So looking forward to season 5 😉. Can’t wait to see the “LIT” solar system vid.
Point of Rocks is a great destination. Was there in March and it was a fantastic place to stay. Nice clean RV park at an amazing location.
Love your tips. In the middle of bing watching you guys.

It’s sparking some dreams again that had dimmed. Looking forward learning more about RVing and building my own dreams of travel.
Thanks Tim and welcome. Dreams re-ignited is one of our favorite comments. Take care.
Looking forward to the solar installation.
Ice cream is a great idea thx
Keep Your Daydream make sure you go to the Salty Dawg saloon while in Homer
As always great video and fantastic tips for us newbies. Thanks for what you guys do with this channel.
Great show. Alaska should be a fun trip. Drove the Alkan Hy as a teen with my family when we got stationed there. It is a great wilderness. Can’t wait to watch your adventure.
Ya'll are awesome!! Can't wait for the upgrade videos and Alaska!! Safe travels from Texas
Love you guys and love Jared's channel too! He's amazing and beautiful family!
Took a break tonight from our you tube instructor “KYD “ to watch ....KYD !!!! Loving the video instructions Marc !!! Hubby and I are learning so much !!! So excited for Alaska !!!
Lol. Too funny.
Can't wait for the upgrade vids!! Especially the suspension and solar......and of course Alaska!!
Bob
Wow..season 4 was awesome. Can’t wait for Alaska!!!
Have a blessed trip to Alaska. We'll be praying for you.
Thanks!
Great recap and tips! Can't wait to see your upgrade videos and your Alaska adventure!
Always look forward to your videos. Can't wait to see the next one....no pressure....Stay safe.
Love it!
We are going to camp in our driveway this weekend...we just bought a TT and want to practice before we leave on a 14 day trip in June! My husband and I have a competition, who ever forgets something and has to go in the house for it, they lose! I'm making lists for my lists!
I remember that day. So much fun.
One of my favorite episodes so helpful. Especially planning how to get out of the dip.
My typical Sunday.....Church, Brunch, KYD updates #LifeIsComplete
I learn SO much from your episodes!
Thank You
Exciting stuff .
Thanks for the update on the road. 21 days. Wow.
Awesome! Less junk more journey is also heading to Alaska sometime soon. They have talked about it.
Total Newbies 😃
We have totally enjoyed following your traveling adventures and watching your videos. We are also looking forward to the Anchorage meet up as we ourselves plan to be joining as “RV Lifers” in the near future.
Great video and I'm so excited to see your Alaskan experience! I'm also glad you shared the All About RVs page.
Welcome Troy. We're glad you're here!
I'm looking forward to the RV upgrades for sure.
AH... Mind the Dip..... Sounds like tactics in my Anxiety and Depression Group. I have fallen into that trap for years and years. Remember that folks! GREAT ADVICE
I can't wait to see the upgrades and tweaks videos - bring them on!!
The video is scheduled. 6pm MST is the suspension upgrade, bearings, hide-a-spare, leaf springs hangers, new mattresses and water heater fix!
Awesome! Thanks!
Great talk!!. And will love the upgrade videos to come, gives us ideas. ☺️
Fantastic Tip! Looking into Albuquerque Balloon Fest right now. We are picking up our Travel Trailer Saturday and be full timing in in 6 weeks.
Something for a "newbie" or anyone that can be a bit forgetful, is a check list of items to check. We use them in aviation and it keeps you from forgetting a step in set up and disconnecting. Seems when I forget something it is from being interrupted. A check list will get you back on track.
Checklists are great. We should really use one, but I am fairly methodical now. I have on my video list to make a checklist setup video.
hi guys i love upgrade videos lols i can learn too and yes i am as excited for your trip to Alaska as you are ---- i look forward too every sunday night ---- safe travels -- take care
great information and recap of season 4. our current trip had us in the Eastern Sierras for a week.Awesome hikes and scenery.
I know these improvements videos are going to be great, the suspense is killing me lol. Great job guys, keep them coming.
It's been fun to record, but not easy. We'll see how the editing goes!
I have faith in you, just like seeing the reality behind it all and the new items help fuel my ideas.
Unlike any of the previous seasons, I already have an Alaska folder of music. :)
akh2ogeek Yeah, I actually know that but since the KYD videos aren't real time and it'll take them some time to get up there, I guess I was hoping they could be there in early fall. Probably more wishful thinking on my part 😬
Stephen Paller good point!
Nice. Thanks for the comment.
Got my shirt today!!! Going camping next weekend!!! Keep the dreams coming!!!!
New subscriber - have been following along for the last 4 to 6 weeks. My wife and I are looking to acquire our first travel trailer and find your videos fantastic. Thanks for sharing these great videos.
Welcome!
#makingmemories
We just returned from our first weekend away with our new travel trailer. It was so #relaxing. I'm excited for our next trip....the Michigan coast line and Upper Peninsula!!!
