The "verse" of the first track is clearly in E major so it would be appropriate to display a diagram of either E major pentatonic or E Mixolydian. A beginner sticking to minor pentatonic will be confused and wonder why he sounds like shit. Edit: Also, the verse of "A minor melodic rock" (30:32 onwards) is in Dorian rather than Aeolian. Btw nice track anyway and this concept of backing track compilation is cool. 👍
yeah, those where the times, when I tried to stick minor pentatonic on EVERY GOD DAMN SONG I have ever heard, just because it sounded kinda not shitty but not good either xD
@@Cirithungul No shit. Edit: actually, having to "move around" and look for appropriate sounds is not a sign of proficiency, quite the opposite. I've never met a single person who can actually do soloing without knowing any theory or scales. Because they don't really exist.
@@kgsvvgla2i ok dude...being able to evaluate your sound compared to what is playing, and then move to a new correct place, is "not" a sign of being good. Ok bud. Anyway, I have a guitar to play. Much more useful than this gatekeeping nonsense lol.
@@Cirithungul That's not what I meant. Of course playing by ear is a very important musical ability. However, any pro musician should also KNOW where to start if they're told e.g. that a chord progression is in E Dorian or whatever. Indeed, almost any true professional can effortlessly do both. These two aspects of musicianship are not mutually exclusive but rather complementary.
Duude this concept is excellent . Ive been playing for 15 years , im 37. And this is super helpful yo start learning scales while you actually play. Great 👍 susctibed
Excellent backing tracks, i found myself using my guitar in ways i hadn't before and when each track was over i was on disbelief of the things i just made my guitar do
Crazy how you find stuff at the right time in life! Ive been endlessly searching for these similar backing tracks and find a lot of stuff im not ready for or just not my style. These all fit perfectly! Going be a good night lol. Thanks
If we as musicians all put our improv to these backing tracks and subscribed to each other we could all get paid and be around the coolest music on earth. I encourage everyone to post their recorded jam s and share and share and share Jesus christ
Track 4 it goes D minor C a minor G Reads D minor C, which is actually a D sharp then a G then an A I played a lot when I played quite a few times and I just keep forgetting to drop you a line. You probably can’t fix it but maybe I’ll just make a mental note of it for this time. I appreciate you don’t forget that.
Great exercises! I'm bad at playing, but I seem to improve by using them! Bravo! Would you kindly allow me to use them live to improvise or record some songs inspired by some of your progressions? Is it free? Thank you!
The sixth backtrack with its A# and D# chords in E minor is interesting. If one plays the E blues scale both the notes A# and D# are included. And it works on the chorus too. Well actually the E pentatonic minor works flawlessly on all the tune. On the other hand, I'm not sure about the A eolian scale. How do you make it work ? By the way, I like the fact that the chorus uses the classic bVI / bVii / I minor. But instead of going to the E minor, it passes first on the V. I know it's common but I wouldn't have think to do that when using this powerful major move.

I'm still figuring things out, in terms of presentation but I think I'm going to stick with scale diagrams that use letter notes to be consistent with the chords displayed, so following the chords with the scale on-screen will be easier.
Focus on the dark blue dots and memorize those patterns first. Those are the pentatonic scales and modal scales that work. The best thing you can do for yourself is to memorize the finger patterns of the modal scales and learn how they move around when the Keys change. If the major or Ionian is E then the minor is C #(C#Aeolian). That’s as much as anyone will give you in a comment section. Do some homework.

This backing track fits perfect with some melodies I was composing. Fkn love it!!!
Feel free to use the ideas, it annoys me when I get copyright claims on chord progression...
This is amazing stuff! Bro. Thanks for helping the community!
Happy to help!
Beautiful concept...In Backingtrackland this is something useful and fresh at the same time...
Thank you! My approach has been to try and address things I found frustrating when surfing backing tracks to practice, but it's all subjective...
love the 4th track chord progression, this is an awesome idea thanks man!
This is incredible! Awesome!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome track. Added to my favs. Thanks!!
Thanks for listening!
Thank you for this.

Agreed this song is amazing and sounds so good with A# and D#
These are great! Can you do a track tuned down to 432hz? This is where music is going back to and for good reason. Thx!
you didn't know that's all hogwash?
Yea! It wasn't me,I've been trying to learn to play guitar all my life
Keep going! It becomes fun when you can get the sounds you want out of the instrument in the moment.
Thanks!
4th track is awesome
Thanks bruh
Yess❤❤
0:20 its E major
i cant seem to play along using the frets shown. i also play metal and new to scales and stufff.... i have my guitar in drop A# i believe
That's quite a heavy drop tuning, must sound pretty badass... The charts are based on standard tuning, so you'll have to figure out the difference...
@@JRSMusicProductions ya I qas playing a fret up 1 for it to be in key.
@@JRSMusicProductions drop A# is for heavy hardcore stuff
Can I use this and post on TH-cam after I put lead guitar over it? Give you credit for backing track etc etc.
Please, feel free!

That melody line and chord progression definitely matches up. It wasn't a deliberate copy though!

I wish it had that effect on me. I'm tired of annoying noises keeping me awake.

Orange man is now Biden's V.P according to the NATO summit.
You don't say what to do. Just play anything over the show scales? Nothing about where to play over specific chords?
