Greetings from Finland! I found your vlog via your sister. Love the relaxing athmosphere and your knits. My best tip for cleaning your handknitted items is "steam finish" in the washing machine, of course just refreshing them hanging in fresh air is the first step and steaming if that does not help or the knit has some stains on it.
Thank you for taking the time to podcast. I've really enjoyed watching your podcasts and your knitting is beautiful. Oakham is lovely and there are a couple of very nice yarn shops. Woolzone is a Drops stockist as well.
Just discovered your lovely podcast!! I am knitting several sandnes garn jumpers mostly yoke top down ot bottom up!! I recently did a bottom up , raglan islender sweater. Complete disaster. It was perfect until the neck - all of my previous knitting was separate pieces flat, then sewn together, until I discovered knitting sweaters in the round - the flat knitting at the top with Colorwork and decreases is very hard for me, also the sparse instructions, although I vowed never to do one again , I’ve bought yarn and pattern for another islender jumper with their yarn sisu, much thinner. But same construction, if you have any tips on the neck, I’d love to hear them!! Otherwise your knitting is stunning !! The Ingrid sweater is very difficult and yours are perfect!! Looking forward to your next episode!!
Lots of practise! Not every jumper turns out perfect… I’m still learning which style suits me best. There’s so much to take into consideration in every project from yarn composition to stitch and row count, that it can become overwhelming! But I have to say, the best “tool” I ever bought is Strangebrew book by TinCanKnits. It’s given me so much information, understanding and knowledge!
Lovely to find you . I love the projects you have made . I have a cupboard similar to yours that I keep my yarn in . It was in my Nan and grandads house and when they both passed away no one wanted it so I was lucky enough to get it . I would love to follow you on Ravelry . What is your ravelry name please ? Look forward to seeing your future podcasts
Gorgeous knits and I love your straightforward, prgamatic explanations. Thank you. Search on youtube for ‘folding clothes cardboard hacks’ for stackable folding of jumpers without that crease - game changer! 😊
I really enjoy your podcasts. I'm sorry your mate chose to get into cleaning the kitchen or whatever it was he was doing and making such a distracting racket! I had trouble tracking what you were saying some of the time. I'll give it another go on your third time out.
Just found your podcast and really enjoying binge watching this afternoon, your knits are so lovely especially the Dirty Caramel Sweater.
