I have made so many Musselburgh hats now that I’ve lost count - it’s the perfect sidekick project for me and everyone appreciates them as gifts
I always hand wash my knitted garments in No Rinse solution and Block them until absolutely dry, I would never machine wash them or put them in a tumble dryer! It would damage the delicate fibres!
Очень красивые работы.
I love the Christmas jumpers.Xx🐝🐝
The reindeer sweaters are wonderful!
Such beautiful knits ❤ I love the Christmas jumper 🎄your such an inspiration to me.
Thanks for showing those beautiful Christmas jumpers. I've been looking at that pattern for about 2 weeks and couldn't decide on it but after seeing yours I've decided to knit one. Another great podcast.. Thank you❤
Thanks Pirrie, Great Episode! You have been busy😊 i have decided that i am also a monogamous knitter...main project and maybe a pair of socks or a cowl on the needles. LOVE your Holiday sweaters...soooo cute! Love what you are wearing as well. I make a mistake in every thing i knit, that way people know it has been hand knit😉. I just finished the Chinky Faire Isle vest by Yoko Hatta. Probably to warm for where you live.. I wear layers here in Atlantic Canada because you never know what the weather is going to be from morning to night, rain, snow, wind??? Always enjoy your chats🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
The pink / red shawl is fabulous. you said the colours aren't one you wear and you are thinking of dyeing it. Please don't - the colours really suit you, particularly against the darker colours of the jumper underneath. i suggest you look at your podcast to see how well it suits you.
Oh thank you!
I was truly stunned by your red shawl. It's so gorgeous it should be in a gallery or museum for all to enjoy. Great job!!! You are an amazing knitter. I am always impressed with all that you accomplish. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Oh please do not dye those shawls!! They are so beautiful and so striking and both colourways suit you so well. The definition would be lost if you dyed them. Wrap them round your neck, head up and sally forth!! you will look amazing xx
Thank you 🤩
your bright colors shawl is absolutely beautiful and the colors are so becoming on you. It is your color. :)
Oh thank you!
Your Stephen West shawl is beautiful and even though the colours might be outside your usual palette they really suit you so well. Please wear it as it is and don't change the colours.
Thank you so much 🙂
Beautiful shawl, is there another option other than brioche? That pink and red is stunning
Hello, yes, there’s an eyelet alternative to the brioche 😉
Please, don't dye the first Stephen West shawl you showed! It will look so good on (light) brown and beige. You knit very well 😊 nice episode, thank you.
Ohh, your shawls are fabulous! You are such an accomplished knitter🥰thank you for your podcasts, so interesting and inspiring. I am working on the arboreal sweater by Jen Steingass as I sit watching you, I am on body island so have REALLY enjoyed listening to you, kind regards from a short distance away, Grantham! 😉
You are so welcome!
I really enjoy watching your podcasts - the absolute joy you get from your knitting is clear to see 😊. I love all of your knits and have to pause every episode to add a project to my Ravelry favourites 😂. Thank you x
Wonderful podcast. Love all your knits!
I, too, am enamoured with Drops yarns. I most especially love the Drops Aire. What a joy with which to work.
Absolutely love your colour choices for your Go Go Dynamo! It’ll be stunning!!!! Happy knitting 🧶
Thank you! I’m little bit unsure about the colours… I got carried away with Stephen West’s enthusiasm! But I’m enjoying knitting either bright colours and I have dyes ready to tone them down after! Xx
Always enjoy watching your podcast Pirjo. Yor dining room is so cozy. We just started putting our woodstove on in the mornings here in Nova Scotia and let it go out . I think I am the only person I know that is looking forward to the Winter months around here.🤣Just nice to take the chill off. Love what you have made since the last time we seen you! Thank you for sharing🇨🇦🥰Sharon.
Sounds great! We’ve had very mild weather here and I’ve only lit the fire couple of times but I’m looking forward to using it more as soon as temperatures drop! It’s so cosy Xx
Have a look at Ginger Cardigan by Petr Nille. Its a V Neck cardigan in 4ply. Your dining room looks wonderfully cosy and I'm really impressed that you got everything done in a year
Oh my goodness! That’s beautiful, it’s gone straight to my favourites ❤
Hi from Australia👋🏻. Love how cosy your room looks! Nice to be in on a cold winters day
Also if you look at Nancy Wheeler from the knitsiphappy podcast she uses a button to thread either end of the yarn from the same ball for two at a time socks to stop it from tangling
Your room is beautiful.
Thank you so much! ❤
I really enjoy your videos! I’ve been a knitter for about a year and you are so thorough I always learn something new. Wish I could just hop across the pond and knit with you. I love the v neck jumper ❤
That would be so lovely! I learn something new every time I knit either others. I ran a chat & craft in person yesterday and learned quite a few tricks!! Xx
@@KnitsFromLincolnshire always something to learn isn’t their
So happy you are podcasting today!!!!! My husband was given an ominous diagnosis.. …..So I needed to hear from my knitting friends activity with yarn fun! Thank you ❤❤❤
I’m so sorry. ❤ to you and your family.
Hope he’s ok Xx
i ABSOLUTELY loved that you were dead against a swancho and then you made one and you love it the most of all your knits hahahahahaha! that's hilarious and it does look fabulous. NO way with changing the colours of the dino sweater. The colours aren't childish colours. I love them.
love your lace socks! the pattern name is not listed in your notes and I couldn’t catch the name that you said - can you please advise the name of the free lace pattern - thank you!
@@4mld963 Sorry I missed it! They’re By the Seine Socks www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/by-the-seine-river Xx
I don’t know if you can get Berroco Chai. It’s a linen/silk blend. I made a top with it this year in the Jasper color. I LOVE it!!
@@lindapilla541 I’ve had a quick Google, but it’s not videos available here. Looks like it might have been, but it’s been discontinued on the British websites I found it 😫
Just found yo and it was the name that drew me in. To my surprise you were talking about the Felix and dying two things on my mind😂 My third attempt at Felix one frogged and re knitted but I don’t love it and third coming to a finish like it so much better. We love Lincolnshire and have a static at Trusthorpe
@@carolbuckley8535 Trusthorpe is beautiful! It’s not long since I went to Theddlethorpe and had the whole beach to myself ❤️
It’s lovely to find some that lives in Lincolnshire close to wear I live. Your things you have made are lovely. I live near Grantham
@@helenwyles1095 Thank you! You’re so lucky to have a wool shop in Grantham. Have you been? I’m dying to visit but haven’t made it there yet. Last time I was in Grantham was a week before the wool shop there opened and I had a Quick Look through the window 😉
Hi sorry I left off half the name it's the minimalist cable cardigan by Carina Spencer Cheers Julie
I just knitting corner to corner blanket
@@carolinedodsworth6481 I really want to knit a blanket too for the winter! But it’s such a huge commitment!! I love the look of “Winter Cuddler Throw Blanket” on Ravelry and I think about it every autumn! Just haven’t got my finger out yet… What pattern & yarn are you using? Xx
@KnitsFromLincolnshire . My corner to corner blanket is granny dishcloth blanket. Knit Hannah
always enjoy your podcasts currently knitting minimalist c and petite knits novice cardigans
@@julietscharke1370 I love petite knit patterns! They’re so well written and simple. I haven’t come across Minimalist C, I tried to google them, but couldn’t find it. Could you post a link please? I’m very interested! Xx
I like your Sunday cardigan and love the color! Don’t know why you think it’s too much.
@@ruthjense6272 I do often find that I’m not entirely happy with a knit immediately after finishing it! Very odd I know! Sometimes I have to put my knits away in the wardrobe first so while and when I bring them out I fall in love again Xx
I was a huge tomboy growing up and refused to wear dresses except for 1. I'm now 54 and have carried that dress with me everywhere I went my whole life and still have it. I'd forgotten about it until you showed your dress as it's almost identical. The fabric is the same for sure and the bodice. The skirt is different but wow, thank you for that memory. 💙
@@Kera.S. what a lovely memory! You should definily hang it up on your bedroom door to bring those memories back every now and then ❤️
@@KnitsFromLincolnshire what a great idea, it's been hanging in the back of my closet my entire life and I've just never thought to do anything with it. As it's now about 50 years old it deserves to be cherished properly!
You're back! Enjoying your podcast very much.

Hello, lovely to see your post. Love your choices of garments and yarn. Is there a slip over/ vest (women’s) you could recommend? I have some beautiful Red Fox Aran left over, and would love to use it. Happy knitting! 🧶

I was thrilled to see you had posted a new podcast to keep me company on this very cool spring night in Melbourne. Love all your cardigans! I've almost finished my second Darling Cardigan by Kutovakika. The first one I knittied in Drops air, and this current one is Nutiden and drops mohair! I love your Felix Cardi's and the socks for your daughter are looking so fun! I love that they're not identical. Happy yarn knitting tomorrow and thanks for another engaging podcast!

Hi I’m just messaging on my sons phone, I’m subscribed on the telly😊.I love the Swoncho… I bought your exact wool but I’m unsure how you mixed the tweed in…I’m getting in a tangle! Did you use 2 balls of tweed ..one for each colour or did you just pass it from one colour to the next? I have knitted 1 colour work in past a lopapeysa 1 hand continental, 1 hand English but I’m not a very experienced knitter. I’m desperate to get on with Swoncho but getting in a tangle. Hope it’s ok to ask, love your videos .Moominmama73 x
@@formula_tom hi, thank you for getting in touch! I had two balls of “make it tweed on the go, one to go either the main colour and the other to go with the contrast colour. I kept them apart at all times, main colour with the tweed next to me on the sofa on the left and the contrast colour to my right and that worked well for me. The only problem I had was when I tried to frog it after knitting it too long. Make it tweed had “velcroed” every stitch and I had to cut the extra fabric off. It just wouldn’t unravel! I’m knitting a cabled cardigan with make it tweed and Drops Daisy at the moment and I haven’t enjoyed it as much! The whole process has felt very sticky. But I’m thinking it might be the humid weather we’ve been having rather than the yarns! I should’ve waited few weeks when it’s cooled down I think! Xx
Hi thank you for the reply.I was trying to knit with 1 ball of tweed…think that's why it wouldn't work, I will give it a go with 2.I look forward to seeing your new tweed project! I love the effect the tweed has on the beige and cream wools…so pretty! Look forward to your next vid, thanks again.Moominmama73 xx

Lovely podcast! I am making a Sunday Cardigan too ❤️
@@happyhandsknittingpodcast it’s such a joy to make! And wear too, my daughter loves how cozy it it round the shoulders. Especially now that I’ve sewn the buttons on. I used normal buttons and made after thought button holes in the end as per instructions and they worked really well! Should’ve trusted the designer in the first place! Xx
@@KnitsFromLincolnshire I have yet to try this method for button holes, looks intriguing!
@@happyhandsknittingpodcast I was a bit disappointed at first that it didn’t have “proper” button holes in the pattern to start with, as her patterns as quite pricey. I like to get my money’s worth! But at the same time I’m trying to push myself to learn new methods. Happy that I tried this! I haven’t stitched around the button holes yet, as I want to see how they wear in use and I thought if I don’t like them, I could block them out and sew on snap buttons instead Xx
Could you please do a review of the drops yarn you have used? I would like to know, please. 1. Softness. 2. Durability, how badly does it pill? 3. Does it stretch when washed or after ware? 4. Joy to knit with? 5. Is is terrible scratchy next to skin? 6. Ranking you most favorite Drops yarn to least. 7. Example of your garments that you have knitted. This would most helpful!!
