@@handcraftswithnadine it’s such a joy to make! And wear too, my daughter loves how cozy it it round the shoulders. Especially now that I’ve sewn the buttons on. I used normal buttons and made after thought button holes in the end as per instructions and they worked really well! Should’ve trusted the designer in the first place! Xx

@@handcraftswithnadine I was a bit disappointed at first that it didn’t have “proper” button holes in the pattern to start with, as her patterns as quite pricey. I like to get my money’s worth! But at the same time I’m trying to push myself to learn new methods. Happy that I tried this! I haven’t stitched around the button holes yet, as I want to see how they wear in use and I thought if I don’t like them, I could block them out and sew on snap buttons instead Xx

@@carolinehannan3921 Elton by Joji Locatelli is such a fab pattern and she’s designed a cardigan too! I really want to knit that too! Just need to be in the mood for knitting with one strand of mohair. It’s got no stretch and takes a bit of effort! But it’s only 4 rows at a time, it soon goes! Xx

@@KnitsFromLincolnshireI stopped using fabric softener 20 years ago, I found the fibres flattened and towels clogged. My clothes are lovely and soft, and if I know I can’t get the washing out on the line, I just add a few drops of essential oil into the rinse tray. Cotton knitted garments are best washed in baby shampoo, they come out lovely!

I’m so pleased that knitting is such a huge thing on social media and new patterns, yarns, textures, colours etc are being pushed forward all the time! And that you can get natural fibres at affordable prices Xx

@@Westcoastknitting_podcast Thanm you for your kind words. Unfortunately the quality of this one wasn’t great! My phone wouldn’t let me film it in landscape mode and I filmed it on my laptop, it came out terrible! I’ll do a pre-recorded ones in the future. Practically same as live as I don’t do any editing. With regards to rotation, I just pick what I fancy at the time! I’ve been on a train quite a bit in the last fortnight and I was knitting on a 4-ply cardigan to start with on the train, but I decided after several inches that the yarn and pattern weren’t a good match although I love them both. I picked up my black socks for train knitting instead. I like knitting on small things whilst out and about as they don’t take much space. At home I’ve been knitting on my peplum top, as it’s getting quite big now, body and peplum are just about done and I’ve started the first sleeve. It’s also knitted with two yarns held together so I don’t feel like taking it out of the house! I’ve started a colourwork jumper, but that’s on Ice st the moment… I wanted a low contrast one, but I think it might be too low contrast! I’ve just got three things on the go at the moment, but I might be casting more things on next week! Xx

@@lynnesmith6827 I got very close to using up all my stash! The last large quantity I had was the very special green singles & suri alpaca from The Camel’s Yarn that I bought from East Anglian Yarn Festival earlier this year. I probably only had about another 100g in random leftovers! But then I went mad at Drops Sale! I currently have just over 5kg of yarn in my stash. Mostly in sweater quantities. Makes me very happy! I have ideas for most of it. I was mostly a monogamous knitter until around Easter time this year and I loved not having a huge stash. But since Easter, I’ve just been casting on everything whenever I fancy it and love having yarn ready to cast on with in my stash. I mostly have 4-ply and few matching mohairs and couple of DK sweater quantities too. I’m so excited about all of it! My yarn buying tends to be quite sporadic, I knit everything up and then buy a whole lot of new yarn. When I went to Yarndale with a friend couple of years ago, I had to borrow yarn from her because I ran out on the train there! I had used up the last bit of my stash on a pair of toe up socks! Xx

@@weegeekus Fabulous tips! I’ll try that. I normally use Eucalan wool wash, I soak my knits overnight in it. I like it because it doesn’t need rinsing. But I’ll definitely try shampoo and conditioner next time Xx

@@weegeekus oh my goodness! I cannot believe the difference it made! I washed my Corran cardigan made with holding Fabel double in the washing machine on a wool cycle last week. After that I soaked it in a washing up bowl overnight with about the same amount of hair conditioner I would use for my hair. I laid it out flat to dry whilst I took my daughter camping at the weekend. I literally couldn’t believe my eyes when we came back. It looked so different! And it felt so soft! Thank you so much for the tip! 🙏

@@margaretleake9361 oh my goodness, I went completely wild in the sale 🙈 I tend to buy 14x50g balls of DK (most I’ve ever used for a jumper), or 8x50g balls of 4ply or 6x25g of mohair. I’ve found that those quantities normally work for a solid colour sweater. But I’ve gone rogue and started knitting colourwork and I feel that I’ve completely messed up my system as I’ve dipped into sweater quantities… I keep my stash uptodate on Ravelry and find it easy to use and easy to look at patterns to hat I have enough yarn for. www.ravelry.com/people/WithLoveFromLN1/stash

I’m on a hunt for them, me and my friend have started a little bit of a yarn crawl, whenever we can to visit them. We haven’t been to that many yet, but we’ve been to one in Market Rasen, couple in Oakham & Uppingham (close to Lincolnshire). I’ve also been to one in Gainsborough. They’re all very different but we bought yarn from all of them! 🙈

Symfonie yarns are quite a new range, and they have speckled yarns coming out in July! I’m very excited about them too. I was just speaking to a local lady the other day, she’s originally from India and she said there’s a lot of stuff that gets exported without ever been seen in India! She said there’s a lot of stuff made only for Target in America, very beautiful but never seen in India 😳

Thank you! My friend knitted a lace sweater in fluffy yarn and it came out stunning, very different to what was intended but it looked most feminine and delicate, just delicious ❤️
