Just because she had to downsize her wedding, doesn't mean she has to give up wearing an elegant over-the-top gown. I loved seeing the jewelry portion, as well.

At the beginning the bride's sister said they have similar taste and when the first dark red outfit came out she started arguing with her sister that she should try it on. Just take the bride's word for it, she doesn't want to try that first outfit on, she said it was to heavy and the velvet might be too hot since it's a summer wedding. It's not your wedding, let the bride enjoy this experience!

    • @jennifermurdock945
      @jennifermurdock945 3 ปีที่แล้ว +30

I had a problem with the sister’s negativity. Traditional red was not what the bride wanted. She made that clear. Why argue? My sister and I had a hard time, as children getting along, however that changed when we became adults. We are very supportive of each other, even if we don’t personally care for it.
And does the size of a wedding really dictate the heaviness of decorations? That didn’t seem to make sense. Usually the argument is that she’s the bride and needs to stand out. So frustrating to listen to the sister. Nazranaa has beautiful dress colors, why always the pastel colors? The jewelry seemed to blend in, as a contrasting color as green or hot pink pearls would have made the pieces stand out. Oh well. Now I sound like the sister.

In big families, elder sisters have a hard life taking care of younger siblings and get very little recognition for taking care of them. I don't think it is fair to judge the elder sister this way, based on what she said so far.
She has a strong stand on what an Indian wedding is, but she understands her sister very well, since she said her sister likes everything elegant.
Also, she said at the end that her sister is beautiful and she likes it that her sister is comfortable with what she wants. How is that unsupportive? She just loves her younger sister in her own way.

    • @vickiemeisinger9632
      @vickiemeisinger9632 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

It is understandable that the older sibling has a strong stand and there’s a lot expected of them I was in that situation myself my problem with her was she was beating a dead horse over and over and over by repeating you must wear red you must wear red you must wear red red is expected of you you must try on the ridge is Indian culture you have to wear red and the mother was saying no she doesn’t and if anybody knows the culture is the mother. I do not understand how these family units come in and his siblings have MORE SAY than the parents and grandparents!! I think that’s what everybody is upset about. Her repetitiveness was totally unnecessary; her tone in which she said everything was just rude; her POUTY attitude was immature~ Older siblings are supposed to teach not preach…They need to be kind and loving and she wasn’t any of those things towards your younger sister. My siblings love me because of how I treated them. I was not mean you don’t get anywhere by beating people with a verbal stick and that’s what she did. And even when she did finally can see that she look nice in the pink outfit she still did a backhandedly by saying but you still should be wearing red because that’s tradition. In other words she’s a “right fighter”. Any counselor or psychologist can see right through this older sisters issues. It has nothing to do with responsibility and family standing position. It has everything to do with jealousy and pettiness and immaturity and the relationship between the mother and the younger sister. “She lets her have everything she wants “that was not only hurtful to the bride but very disrespectful to the mom. You are off base in the feeling this girl‘s actions in my opinion and obviously thousands of other people.
I have A LOT OF RESPECT for MANY CULTURES and seniority and the pecking order in a family unit as well as showing respect to our seniors. Many of the other cultures do this so much better than American society does. That is obvious by the fact that they take care of them in their aging years; they give them a place to live; how they talk to them etc. but disrespecting your mother is not acceptable in any culture that I know of.
I’’ve said enough. Well wishes to the bride and groom and my thanks to Shia and the Nazaranaa Staff❣️❣️
you guys always handle yourself so professionally; you are so loving and kind to the families as well as the bride and groom; you were excellent listeners to the bride and groom and even the families, sometimes beyond what is sometimes Expected of you; and always drake smartly dressed with a shop that has beautiful and elegant Bridal Clothing we ALL LOVE♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

@@mathsisdeadtomenow I didn’t mean to bodyshame her as much as highlight the shape of the outfit that was like a second skin and was frosty-white. It did not flatter her at all, where a darker color and a break in her silhouette would have helped. INDIAN women are blessed in their ability to wear every shade of red and look fabulous- same with a lot of bright colors. The blush pink with the bad yellow dye job in her thin, limp hair, with her complexion so pale was, in total, a catastrophe. The title of that episode was “She Knows What She Wants.” I think is would have been more aptly named, “I Will Have What I Want Or I Will Douse You In My Impersonation Of A Toddler Who Has Missed Her Nap And Will Have The PURPLE BINKY WITH GLITTER AND UNICORN HORN OR YOU WILL ALL WISH YOU HAD NEVER PROCREATED!”
I am usually very impressed by the well-mannered offspring of INDIAN families, who are respectful to the point of reverence of their elders. So this chick stood out in every negative way it was possible to stand out.

I was so proud of this mother and very happy for the daughter. She truly looked so beautiful as a Bride and it was the perfect dress for her. It is amazing to me as I look at these gowns how similar colors can be changed just by the amount of stitching or pattern of stitching, and even the beadwork!!These individuals who do this type of work or artist not craftsman but TRUE ARTISTS♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Wow! This has to be the best lehenga that was shown on Nazranaa Diaries. This is quite close to what Indian bridal couture and luxury designers are creating nowadays. The only thing I didn't like was the huge wide choker. The second one looked far better on that blouse, or even a simpler one would have looked amazing. The lehenga and the blouse are so heavy with lot of work that only simple jewellery would perfectly compliment it.

But I continue to be mesmerized by the creative designs these brides get to choose from. I enjoy watching these beautiful ladies pick try on and choose their outfits...we all face the same struggles-others' opinions, how we feel about our bodies, inter-faith ceremonies, what mom wants v. what the bride wants, etc. I wouldn't trade my day or my dress for anything in the world, but these are some of the most beautifully dressed brides I've ever seen. So lucky to have so many choices!

I felt the same way about the sister's negativity, in the beginning. But, when I saw her suddenly become positive about things, I had to wonder if she was trying to protect her sister from family and friends who may have given her a hard time about her choices. Just like when a Midwestern-all-American girl wants to wear a red or black wedding dress, you'll see family worried about how people will treat her at her wedding! I'm using that only as a reference because that's where I am from.

The outfit was exquisite but wasted on a woman it didn’t look good on. Not just anyone can wear any ensemble. Her body type and skin tone blurred the lines of the ensemble and contrasted horribly. I did not think this bride was ever shown at her best. She had potential, but it was wasted by using the wrong colors on her hair and skin. It was a disappointment from start to finish.

    Radha & Sasenarine
Radha knew what she wanted. She did not want a "cookie cutter" bridal outfit like 99% of other Indian brides even though sister Shaarada tried to sway her mind. Shia is an amazing designer. All Nazranaa brides are beautiful. This is the first episode including bridal jewelry which is also very important. Rashi did a great job listening to the bride and her likes. Radha was a STUNNING bride. Sasenarine was a very handsome groom. Congratulations to the two of you. Sending blessings as you create your own family unit.

I’m watching this for a second and third time and I just want to say thank you to the Mom for being so supportive to her daughter, SO KIND IN LISTENING TO WHAT HER DREAM FOR HER WEDDING VISION WAS, & NOT GET INFLUENCED BY THE OLDER DAUGHTER!!
The older daughter was so jealous it was so very obvious. She was very immature in her comments and she had to say it at least 20 times that red was the traditional color and that’s what she should wear and it was very obvious she was not there to support her sister but just to try to sabotage the whole wedding event well she tried on her dresses and put her sister down. I don’t know why they even had her come because she was so cool in her comments and you just made her look that much more jealous , insecure, and very petty. It’s clear to Me that the older sister has some serious self-esteem issues so she’s trying to put the younger sister down who is so cute and has the cutest little face and looked beautiful in her pink wedding outfit that she picked out. Even when Shia Said she could bustle the train, t

      (continuing…….pg 2)…
(even when Shia Stated that she could bustle the train, the older sister just talked right over her and said that the little sister would have trouble with the train and she wouldn’t be able to do this and she wouldn’t be able to do that and the husband wasn’t going to help her because he would have Hiis own things to do. Talk about petty and snotty~ What room isn’t willing to help a bride with her gown. Every wedding I’ve ever been to the groom always lays down and moved the bride’s dress or moves the veil, or holds her bouquet, etc.!😊❣️❣️❣️
I really am proud of the bride and of course,Shia, For helping the Bride with her vision and praise her with how nice she looked and that she did look beautiful and I could tell she was sincere and the Bride was just beaming with happiness and joy and it really made the Sister mad and she just kept saying again, With her backhanded compliment that was so insincere, “well I guess if you like it you do look nice but it’s not red and that’s what’s traditional and a Hindu wedding.” Stabbed with a knife stabbed with a knife…I thought about watching this one more time and counting how many times the sister made a comment about red and traditional wedding but I’m sure somebody else is already done that in the comments. She was horrible and I just don’t think I’d even invite her to the wedding because she’s going to do the same thing she’s gonna make the little sister who is petite and cuter than she is try to make her feel bad and make her cry and you weren’t so what is the mom is nicer to her, who wants to be nice to a mean woman and that’s what that sister is she’s very mean and catty and unkind and I am going to pray she does not ruin the wedding or the reception. The mother is such a sweet angel and I’m very proud of her for supporting her daughter and having that relationship together. God bless you Mom & You also, to the Bride & Groom♥️♥️ I wish you much happiness together❣️❣️🌈

Because brides usually wear the green and blue colours for their reception outfit. Usually there’s a wedding ceremony in the daytime where the bride wears the traditional red or pink gown. Then in the evening either on the same day or the next day (it’s becoming more common now to do receptions the next day) they have the wedding reception - all the dancing and celebration. At the wedding reception there’s more free rein as to what colours the bride wears ranging from pinks, greens, blues, silvers, golds, etc.

The mom was very nice and humble.

When you go to a bridal appointment, you got to support, not contradict...Saying red is traditional, as it would be important to "YOU", one time would have sufficed...A wedding is a wedding, no matter the size...All the big sister accomplished with her pushiness, was to show her "ENVY" of the bride...I would not be caught dead playing that role...Being the baby of a family means you have to watch the older ones do things, you have to wait years in the wings, to be able to do them...With her wedding, things even out and she had the right to finally do things to her liking...I love my little sisters and understand them...I love my two little sisters and wish my two older sisters would have been supportive of me growing up and beyond...
The groom is the luckiest by getting the younger bride and I'm sure she will be a good wife...Specially after the children start taking over the center role in their lives and they become a team, equal in everything...They are destined to be a lovely family...Blessings... 🙏😘💓🌹

@@ladyaly864 I am all about supporting her only wedding and understand your point of view. I myself believe the wedding has to go according to bride alone cause it's her special day. Happy bride = Happy marriage. The point I was trying to make here was different. 0:52 When she started telling her story of how she met her "one", she did not said a single quality of her fiancée why she loves him, but rather what he did for her, how he proposed, how it was special at the "Caribbean" etc. 0:45 Her mother on contrary said he is a good guy, caring and helps around the house. 7:21 Second thing when her sister asked her who will hold her portion of the dress, she said without hesitantly "Groom will hold the dress". My wife and I felt this very off putting. 13:21 Third thing was a blow when Shia asked if her fiancée will wear something pink relatable to her dress, she said it cockily "Yes he will be fine, he will do anything for me". All these are red flags for a guy who seems very much in love with her but not the other way around if you feel me. Hence my comment. It's just a observation anyway, I could be wrong.

Clearly Shia knew what she was doing here! The red look was way better than what she chose! The blush pink was too light for her complexion, it totally washed her out!
But people want what they want, so we gotta just let them be.

I agree. Both outfits were lovely, but bright red is just much more her color than blush, IMO.

👀👀👀 *THIS . . . I find to be the most stunnning outfit w/h layered jewelry that have ever seen on show*
Also fabulous to see and hear a mother 'supporting' her daughter and her decisions.

Good for her in standing up for herself and what she wants to wear for HER wedding.. If I ever get married I'm going to go to the bridal salon by myself.
I loved the 1st jewelry set she had on, It did not overcompensate her dress

I went alone since I had very pushy, opinionated older sisters and mother. Best decision I could have made. No drama/conflict before or during the wedding about my dress choice.

I personally loved the elder sister. She wanted the best for her sister. She wasn't forcing her opinion.

I think she looks overwhelmed by the pink outfit.

This bride was beautiful, the setting for the wedding photos was perfect, I wish the girl had smiled a little more! The photo with her mother was beautiful: the two ladies were elegant. I hope this young couple lives happily ever after.

I think they show these two first dresses to everyone. She said she didnt really want red and they showed her red.

Well, sometimes people just want to be “special”, but once they try on the traditional look they realize that there’s a reason why it’s popular. The red was gorgeous on her.
