Serious question.. having no relation to your culture, or background and not marrying a man from the background or culture(actually not getting married) but I LOVE the gowns Nazarana has. Would it be considered rude, disrespectful or anything along the lines for me or anyone else to wear one of the gown style dresses as their wedding dress? Because I would be so happy to wear probably any style dress from Nazarana! If I ever look for a wedding dress I wouldn't want to be disrespectful or insult anyone if I was to be interested in purchasing something from them.
it is not considered rude if anyone from different culture wears a lehenga or a similar kind of outfit. That rule of being inappropriate applies when people wear some specific headgear or some drapes and shawl which need to be earned or only used by people who hold some positions in a specific community. The dresses shown by Nazrana are party outfits so no such rule is applicable here

I like to watch Say Yes to the Dress and there are some beautiful white wedding dresses. Im not Indian either, but when i see these Indian gowns i just go crazy- they are SO beautiful & the array of colors and embroidery are stunning. I get more enthused over these !

A lot of desi people spend money that they don’t have or waste money to show off their extravagance at weddings. It’s very shallow. You can find beautiful gowns at a reasonable budget.

I kkow à lot of Asians out take loans just for weddings. My brother wife bestfriend took out a loan each, her wedding dress was 2K£ but I think overall they spent 40K£ and now in debt. Neither are working and have a baby.

How do they get the dresses to fit so perfectly? This bride isn't thin so how did the top fit? In American wedding dress shows they have to use clamps to fit the dresses on the bride. How do these dresses fit no matter the bride's size?

Huge advantage to separate skirts and tops. Because most of the clothes are only four or five styles, they can keep more sizes in. The skirt actually had an elastic waist- much easier to fit!

The blouse is actually not a perfect fit. The sleeves need some taking in. The skirt has an elastic so its a much easier fit
I really wanted to see more dresses because they are all sooo beautiful! But I’m happy the bride and her entourage were able to find what they wanted to easily. I love this show. 🤩😍

Cha looked like a Disney Princess in all the outfits she tried on. I especially loved her in the second outfit but she looked beautiful in all of them. All 3 ladies have such amazing personalities, they were a joy to watch.
A very well edited program. As an American I have been well educated about the culture. Understandably this is a fashion program it is more a documentary program as well. The sibling relationship is heart warming; their explanations to the clients n viewers are educational and reflective of their love l and respect for their country and culture. As a non Asian, I have learned the family values and how important these values are carried forward with each generation. The blending of east and west, traditional and modern is an education for all people. Many viewers commented on the extravagance of the weddings. This is true in all cultures. Families have the opportunity to accept the debt that may occur; other families may chose to remain in a realistic debt free affair. Life is full of choices. Some choices are difficult and create discord. With choices come consequences known and unknown. It is the basic foundation of love and respect for each other that make a learning and loving experience for all, regardless of culture. Shia and her brother do their very best to give all clients a warm, welcoming, loving start to new lives. I would like to see some creative educators require viewing of this series as part of their curriculum. As a retired College Dean of Students I can visualize how easily this can be done. A joyful future for you and all clients both those that purchase and those that do not. Thank you.

I would have liked to see a little bit extra at the end about the custom gown for the sister - maybe a few slides of the sketches and a photo of the dress by itself. It's kind of hard to see it in the wedding photos at the end, but it's gorgeous!

wow Cha chose the dress that was $975 for a friend's reception? Loved the lehengas that both the sisters chose. Shia certainly picked out good stuff for them.
I think this is one of my most favorite episodes. All the ladies were very easy to work with seemed very attentive and I even had tears when the bride had tears and was.so in love with that outfit. #priceless

I liked how they went into detail discussing the fabric and embroidery changes that go into designing a custom dress. I thought that was interesting compared to the typical yes/no format to dresses that they said in prior seasons.

Cha has the most amazing figure.... I never had such an amazing one ever in my life and Im about 2-3 decades younger. If id look half as good at her age Id be absolutely ecstatic
Would love to see a beautifully carved telescoping hanger where the skirt, lehenga, or gown could be beautifully displayed instead of spread across the floor.
Add another hanger to the shelf where the “try on” garments go so we can see that they’re firmly hung in place n not going to fall.
Why not decorate the walls n above her head (where the bride walks out to show us her garment choices) in florals: white; ecru, in pastels: in big? but delicate peach, salmon, pink flowers?
Why not paint the shelves to add interest, and get a beautifully upholstered, comfortable pull-apart ‘settee’ so few or several people can be seated on a stunning, Indian-inspired piece or pieces that can be pushed together or pulled apart?
One show, showing Shia’s gorgeous sketches; explaining her designs of beads, crystals, pearls n showing how the garments are made n how workers bead them; how men’s garments (sherwani, safa)are designed n made too would be interesting.
Listing and spelling the different garments a bride n groom wear would help us appreciate your show more.
Taking us through Sikh, Hindu etc. ceremonies n explaining their traditions would b of interest!
Look forward to seeing if you implement any of these ideas!

Lehenga is beautiful but ... We Indians go to several shops pull everything 😂 and try out lots of outfit it takes entire day .... She is quick😁
There are not as many options for stores in the US so it's pretty straightforward. I had picked my wedding lehenga in about 20 min also 😂

@@ananyagupta3917 The shops have full samples that you can try on and they will then take your measurements to make a new outfit. If you don't have time, you can buy the sample and they will tailor it so it fits you
@@niiidddhhhiii but these ladies are wearing outfits supposedly right off the rack and they fit them? It seems more likely this was scripted. Im plus size and the only thing I can buy off the rack would be pajamas. No way they had lehengas and cholis lying around in their sizes. Im not trying to be disrespectful, its just not how indian wear works.
@@ananyagupta3917 It depends on the shop. There are some where I can only hold up the item but there are other shops that I can actually try on the item (these are the shops I prefer to shop in). I think Nazranaa carries a wide range of sizes, they said it in a past episode

This episode is so unrelatable!! The bride chose the very second lehenga! The sister didn't even bother to try on the lehenga to even get an idea of how the color looks on her! The aunt was choosing sari just by looking at a folded sari's pallu! So so unrelatable that I can't even express!! 😐
Also I personally am not very blown away by the bride's lehenga... The blue lehenga of aunt is my personal favorite 😍

I have always thought that Indian women's wedding dresses is the most beautiful of all. Unfortunately, I discovered it doesn't fit my body type very well, but I absolutely love the dresses!
