I have Greys anatomy to thank for introducing me to the best band, 8 years ago. Thanks grey's for introducing me to SP, and other awesome artists including the fray and ingrid michaelson.
Snow Patrol is one of those bands that I cannot seem to form a consistant opinion of. Songs like 'Just say yes' grate my nerves like you wouldn't believe, yet 'Shut your eyes' and this are so damn beautiful it actually brings tears to my eyes at times.
Same here, Chasing Cars brought me to this awesome band and I love that greys still use their music on the show introducing new fans to this AWESOME band all the time.
I’m one of the background singers, I can’t believe this is my first time hearing the finished product lol! Our group had so much fun recording all the songs
Very cool. Need limer notes for ever song you guys have made. I want to know your hearts when you wrote them and composed them. Don't like repeats of Sting's "I'll be watching you." Misunderstandings
Whoa! What does it matter how people get to like a song/type of music? So where do you recommend we 'discover' music? A lot of folks discover music through ads, sitcoms, soundtracks, etc. Is there a professorship in 'Snow Patrol'? Lighten up.
To all those who are being petty, how about we just agree to disagree. We all like Snow Patrol but we don't have to all like the same songs. @eamonreillydotcom, you have your opinion about this song and the band's use of your religion and I applaud you. To all the others, I applaud you for letting your opinion be heard. We're all different and that's a good thing. So just smile and play on.
The Cakes wants evidence? O.k. I had arthritis in my hip and could barely walk. A pastor put his hand on my hip and prayed. That was Thanksgiving day 2008. The pain stopped that day. I no longer have arthritis!
You can be religiously affiliated without being obtrusive. Expressing ones feelings is not forcing others to agree. Religious expression is vastly different than religious oppression.
cmon guys, grey's anatomy and sitcoms tries to mould the song lyrics into the context of their story line!!! You guys should first listen to the same songs the way the authors and singers convey it. Then associates it with your life! Thats how we listen to music! Just posting grey's anatomy or shits being played on tv that not everybody listens to just break the whole charm of the song! Im here coz SNOW PATROL brought me here!!!
@eamonreillydotcom "creating debate is no harm. Everything you know is wrong. Question EVERYTHING." There's harm when you create "debate" by stating things that you have no evidence for as fact. That's not debate. Also, reality isn't black and white-- there's a huge difference between wrong and less-wrong. We should save most of our questioning for that which uses disingenuous tactics, manipulation, and is unable to admit it is wrong on even the smallest point, i.e. religion, NOT science.
No not really, because it's not a dig at religion. So with that, I sound neither as knuckleheaded or daft as you seem to think I claim he (she?) is. If anything he's a little too quick to defend God lol. But he's definitely not daft. A daft person wouldn't have even given the lyrics a second thought.
@eamonreillydotcom First, you're doing exactly what you're saying is wrong. You state your opinion as fact ("God (singular) made the whole thing and is there.") Not everyone believes in God. Second, he's not saying God or gods don't exist, he's talking about a place where people have no political or religious affiliations. You're allowed to believe whatever you want, just like everybody else. You can state your opinion, so why can't an artist express theirs through lyrics?
So in pages and pages of flames you pike me, the person whit only one comment who told " Try to think, before bitching. ". Talking about overreacting...
The lyrics. Pure genius.

This will remind me of one of the best Grey's episode!! "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"!!
The Sound of Silence is really good as well. The killer combo of Ellen Pompeo and Denzel Washington as a director

I think we can all agree that Gary Lightbody's lyrics don't always mean what we think they do
TheHorseWife ITS SO TRUE HAAHH

My 2nd fave from this album... :3 I LOVE the guitar at the end!
The first 15 seconds sound exactly like Junip's "Without You"

The beginning is the same as 'Get Up"by Juliette and the Licks...the rest sounds like Sisters of Mercy....but that's not so bad ;-)
Picked the wrong person, but i Agree.

@JackieHakalaJackson no bands perfect ahhaa
:l As usual - an amazing band getting sold out to some show.

That's seriously what you took from that line? You need help.
