I will say, Taz needs buffs and he kinda sucks and all that jazz. But edge guarding with Taz is fun. The spike, the apple, the charged bite, the dog pile, the armor breaking little jump, even the charged and mobile sandwich clap for people who go high. And that doesn't even include the possibility of having an anvil in the works. A high-speed long-range precise-aiming heavy-ass sniper shot anvil. It's fun.
Here's how to fix Taz 1. Make Taz an anti projectile character 2. Let Taz spin able to deflect projectiles in random direction 3 Let Taz dogpile eat projectiles 4. Give Taz the ability where he can reverse his spin attack where his spin turns into jet turbine and sucks his enemies close to him Give taz a combo where he salt and pepper you slaps you with the sub bread 3 times then finish the combo with a short knock back spin They had it right where he can eat the projectiles but also have it when he eats the projectiles depending what he eats that will be his projectile to shoot instead of the apple core until he gets rings out it goes back to normal
You got to use soups up more it's armored. The best perks for Taz is the fire perk Tasmanian trigonometry and the one that gives you 5 cooldown for every melee attack landed. Use his up special to edge guard and don't be afraid to chase them off the edge and follow them down with tornado. Work on your defense when you play Taz you have to be a great defender because he requires you to get in so close.
I can't remember running into a Finn who used more than a small handful of moves. And honestly I don't know if I can blame them- they're really powerful. Even when that makes them easier to read, it's still annoying as hell to deal with them. Trouble is I don't know if there's a way to fix that... By the by, why take the dust cloud perk into singleplayer games? As far as I can tell it's useless without an ally (and often useless with one, if they don't bother to get in). I do wish Taz had more good kill options than up attack and two moves that go on cooldown.
Stop using the apple it's his worst move. You do need cool down but it's not for apple it's for dogpile. us it as much as possible but try and us it for edge guarding.

@@steelbeans the one upside to Apple is it's good for comboing, But that only works for over aggressive players a good player is going to try to wait taz out because he's a short range character he's going to make taz come to him. Believe it or not his best move is soups up it's like Wonder woman shield but better more spammable and it hits back. You can use it to edge guard a fully charged version will kill at the edge and if you're just spamming it at the edge it really throws people off makes them have to go over you. Taz is a edge guard demon almost all his moves are great for edge guarding
If I'm going to jump in imma use his air down attack hopefully connect with it twice because that combos into itself real well and then go for a fully charged or a semi charged version of his ground down attack.

2 hit jab to apple to dash 2 hit jab loops, you can use it to confirm his devour or almost else. Can get one touch chicken combos this way

Having a projectile at all is a great tool for getting in, even if its slow. Have you tried jumping in with it?
