@@JohnsFrusciantei think John Frusciante didn't use a Micro Amp when they recorded Blood Sugar Sex Magik. It's more likely to be the CE-1 preamp, Dyna Comp and DOD FX Chorus or CE-1 Chorus
@@RobinhoGuitarCovers right but who’s trying to drop a few grand on an original CE-1 lmao, the micro amp gets it close enough. there’s a few preamps available that kind of mimic it but, ah. I’ll take the micro amp..
@@JohnsFrusciante for me the Micro Amp sounds quite different. There are several great CE-1 clones out there. I have the PastFX Chorus Ensemble and it's very good, it sounds almost identical (the chorus and vibrato too). The pedals from JFX are also very very good
Hahah 😂 Awesome, happy to hear that. Jigsaw falling into place is next on my list. I hope to be able to figure out at least what the acoustic guitar is playing. Also, which songs would you like to learn? 🙂
@@nikolagugoski Man I love Jigsaw falling into place it's just amazing. I would also like to see a tutorial for Street Spirit or Lucky. Bullet proof would be nice too.
You'll eventually notice its not that hard to mute. You mute the top strings with the index and the lower with the thumb or middle, or maybe dont even mute the lower strings with the left hand but the right, the side of your palm. Thats it, thats how you skank. You have to find the most comfortable way for you to mute effectively.
I always thought the verse was played like how john plays Mellowship Slinky and Funky Monks (“pinching” the strings to let them slap against the fretboard for that punch) til he does not. Thank you for this knowledge Nikola
I've never really listened to bands like RHCP or Radiohead but after finding you channel I really like some of their riffs, prolly gonna check them out some time. Could you cover some Coheed and Cambria songs? They're the band that got me into guitar and I feel they're very overlooked (besides Welcome Home of course). Im a big fan of their early albums so something like "Time Consumer" from their first album or "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3" from their second album would be great.
i really recomend you to listen rhcp, you wont regret it. Also if u want i can show u some art pieces that they have. ps: sorry my english im from argentina
@ timestamp 3:12 those xxxxxxxx mutes it sounds like its 6 muted hits, but the tab shows 7 . Nikola is the tab in error, or did u just play it in 6s to keep it even ? Love ur work btw !
Thank you! Honestly I haven't thought of that for this video. Maybe I can additionally record something and share a link. Do you have trouble with the intro or the verse riff?
@@nikolagugoski Yeah i have trouble in verse, in bridge (bar 58 - 62) and bar 6 from intro. i have a little problem with this john frusciante tech. thanks for your response
Great video!!! John tends to play something more melodic with small chords before the ending part. Anyone knows where I can find tabs for that by chance ?
The hardest part of this song is recreating that snappy and punchy tone.
Strat+micro amp+Dyna comp hehehe

Mad props for actually attempting to transcribe the solos, that sounds really close considering they are played in reverse!
Ten years from your first "give it away" youtube tutorial, wow, what a great improvement!!
More RadioHead pls, I started listening to it because of your tutorials and now I can't stop.

nice hidden joke there !
It sounds so easy but its actually kinda hard to mute only some strings in the verse with the left hand
Use that thumb 😎

Thank you, Nikola!❤ The classic RHCP tune that to this day I can't play😂
Hahah 😂 now is your chance
thanks for the new and improved tabs
Thank you for watching 🙏
Turn it again solo maybe?))
I've always thought the ending sounded a lot like Sweet Leaf by Sabbath
It IS. John Frusciante, when asked if he "copied it", he said, "I stole it".

thank you very much my friend, I appreciated a lot

What effects do you use for solos?
amazing! thanks
Amazing !
so great!!!!
Niiice👍👍👍👍
Thank you Vito! Glad you liked it 🙂
Nice lesson, what's the chord playing under the two solos? It's maybe the same of the verses?
Thanks! It's just and open low E string and E octave played on 7th fret - 5th string and 9th fret - 3rd string. So, a few E notes :)
@@nikolagugoski Thank you! I checked the guitar master track and it's not the same chord of the verse for sure
@@fasky93it isn't. The verse is in A minor, the chorus chord is E5
0:31 (12) , isn't the last note supposed to be 5th note on D string? instead of X ??!?! is that a mistake in the tab? thanks^^
i think I am right, not a big deal tho! peace! 🤗
Yes, it's a typo. It should be 5. Sorry
Fruisciante covered a couple seconds of SWEET LEAF BLACK SABBATH HOW DID I NEVER HEAR THAT 3:05
