      Rudy, it means a lot. Just from your comment, you know the break I took, and I'm still dealing with what was going on..... just... thank you for the support. Hope all is well in your Astro journey.

    Hey Daylon - Good to see you up and about again, I hope you're going well. I must admit the lack of USB3 really puzzles me on this as it might stop being able to do high speed/fps planetary imaging. Even just put one USB3 on there. Nice realistic & fair overview 👍

      Thanks Ollie. The USB 3 thing baffled me too! I'm doing better, still feeling what I posted about, but such is life. Time heals and teaches.

    Hey Daylon, I saw you at Cherry Springs (Black Forest) during the Door Prize giveaway and intended to stop over after the prizes were given to say hi, but when it was over, I couldn't find you. Sorry I missed you and as always, thanks for the Informative video! :) Keep up the good work. :)

    I have the mini. I was thinking about budget at the time. I am thinking that the cat6 is more useful and upgrading in the future some time.

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing wrong with grabbing the mini at first. If anything, it can become the go-to travel controller that doesn't take up much room!

    Good afternoon, can you tell me if the Asiair Mini can be powered with 5V through the USB-C port with a traditional 5V powerbank? Do you think it would work well?
    Thank you very much.

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it cannot. It has to be powered with the 12V power slot.

    I would like to have more detail on how the mosaic feature works.

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will be coming in a future video since my last mosaic video was before they introduced the feature into the app. Give me a little time (weather gets in the way), but one will be coming.

    First!! It's a great portable little device but the fact it has no LAN port is a deal breaker for me

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I imagine that might sway a lot of people. But being super portable will be helpful for traveling to star parties and dark sky sites.

    I'm hoping the ASIAir app will eventually support the monitoring and parameter settings of Pegasus Power devices.

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too! I've seen what they can do. The capabilities of the Plus is a step in the right direction, here's hoping they expand it!

    • @phcalama
      @phcalama ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like that too but what I meant in my comment was that I would like, in the interim, for the ASIAir to recognize that a Pegasus Power device is connected to it and allow you to configure and monitor it.

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@phcalama I will speak to my contact at ZWO and see if they can put that in the plans. It would take collaboration between the dev teams, but I'll make sure they know this is something the community would like!

    • @AstroEscape
      @AstroEscape  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phcalama FYI Paul, at this point they are looking at refining the capabilities of the AIR line and are not currently focused on compatibility with things like the Pegasus Power Box. They aren't writing it off, they just aren't focusing on it. It would take a lot of collaboration between teams to make it happen, here's hoping that one day it does!

    • @phcalama
      @phcalama ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AstroEscape Unless I'm mistaken there is some software for controlling the settings of the Pegasus Power devices in the public domain which, I would think, would make the process of integrating it into the ASIAir app (which, I understand, borrows heavily from other software) less challenging.
