I litterally spent 25 mins scrambling to find SLI, but I was stuck on the Summer Street level. Your video was so helpful in helping me navigate all the way down to the Silver Line 1 Airport pickup. There were so many SL1 signs that confused me that aimed to pull me the opposite directions... I am so glad that I glued my eyes to your video to copy your movements instead of looking directly in front of me!
I am planning on coming into Boston south station to fly to Thailand/Philippines this autumn. This has to be the most valuable video I've seen in awhile. It's this small stuff that stresses out the seldom traveller. I believe the trip back from the airport is free to South Station. Thanks for your efforts.
Very helpful video mate. I am coming to Boston this Friday for a long weekend with my wife and I knew that the SL1 from the Airport to South Station was free. I just assumed it was free back to the airport as well. So thanks for the heads up.
As a frequent rider of the silver line, I feel for the many people who get on at the wrong place. If you get on the wrong Silver Line car... you can get off at the next two stops (Courthouse and WTC) to wait for the correct car. You don't want SL2 - Silver Line Way or SL3- Chelsea. You do want SL1 which will always board first at the far end of the platform. It will also stop at the middle as well.
I always try to find Charlie cards but some of these machines don't give you the plastic cards only the one way two way tickets. I try to find the newer machines since they usually print them
Seems pretty straightforward. I'll be flying into Boston next year and was looking for a way to get to south station for the commuter train to Foxboro station to Gillette stadium
Well, the funny thing about Logan is you can get a free ride out of Logan to many points including Natick and downtown Boston on that free bus service which is really cool but it cost money to go to Logan so that’s just how it is and I think that bus is probably the best way to get there. It’s just confusing to find it and confusing to find out where it stops but just know you have to go down escalators you can buy the Charlie card. Had a kiss sock I think in South Station no problem and probably North Station two.
Very jumpy photography, not well thought out. How does a traveler with a suitcase, and a roll on, get through the ticketing gate? Are there escalators, or only stairs? Is there an elevator available?
The fare gate should have scanners, meaning that it shouldn't close the gate on you until you're fully through (luggage included), but I'd still hurry on my way through. People from the other side also exit the station through the same gates, so in the worst-case scenario you can just stand there, and the gate will open again, thinking you are on your way out. Definitely doable, especially with only two bags. There are both escalators and stairs throughout the station, as well as elevators. South Station is one of the MBTA's busiest stations, so while it may be crowded, you can count on it at the very least to be accessible. Best of luck with your trip!

I'm a local but have never used the Silver Line in my life. This was extremely helpful. Thank You!
Appreciate the continuity and not editing out the real world issues that come up.

Correct trip is free via bus back to south station
And Even to Natick
Thank you appreciate this!
Thanks! This is definitely going to help me. Much better than calling support!
It is very confusing. You end up going a long way from where you came in off the street.

Thank you. I do not have it down to an exact science yet.
Definitely not the SL2, but atleast with the SL3, they can get off at Airport Station and take a free shuttle bus to the terminals.

Thank you! You saved me
Glad I could help!

Thanks for the tip! I’m familiar with buying the Charlie card but have never taken train/bus to airport

Thank you! This video helps a lot.
thanks for the video! I wonder if u select "other values" on the screen and just enter $2 maybe it'll work?
Seriously, Thank you.
Is the Silver Line to the airport free from South Station or do you have to pay?
Is it still free from the airport?
Thanks
Use Logan express bus
good
What about from Logan to down town? How to use public trans?
use free back bay bus from logan airport
You can take silver line to south station and then transfer to the redline inbound to Downtown Crossing or Park Street. Easy Peasy.

Someone so critical
Figure it out yourself smarty

How long did it take to get to the airport from the station. Good video
18 minutes
lol, you seem pretty confused.
It’s an underground bus lame
thank you - one of the tunnels is closed and this is a godsend-maybe you should ask MASS.gov to link to your TH-cam!!
