    I live in Westchester, N.Y. About 20 mi North of NYC. I just had a smas facelift which included upper & lower eyes, fat injections to lower eye,cheeks & laugh lines. I had a surgeon with great results & views 👍🏻. Total cost in office under general anesthesia- cost me $27,000. I paid in cash so it was $25,000 in total. I am 67 & now look 47. Next - Laser treatment 😉

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes and no. a mini doesn't do much but if you know you want a facelift but not yet then its an option if you have the spare money and time. 40s is about when most people consider a full facelift for the first time. hope that helps.

    Hi Dr Goodwin
    When preforming a neck and lower face lift
    is the platysma muscles sewn together to
    correct where the muscles have parted and
    is this not done through the incision under
    the chin not through the incision behind the
    ear ? As I'm sure I heard in the past the
    repair Of the platysma itself was through
    the incision under the chin

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes if the platysma is split at the front which it often is then an additional scar is necessary. not always though. thanks for the comment.

    Hello Dr Adam, love your candid channel (that doesn’t try to sell me a creator’s overpriced skincare line)! I‘d love for you to clarify something regarding deep plane facelifts:
    1) Surgeons always talk about how during a deep plane facelift, the ligaments are „released“ - that means „cut“, right?
    2) Why would they need to be released/cut? I hear it‘s because when you lift the SMAS, they still pull in the wrong direction and that that tension can create an unnatural look. So…haven’t the ligaments become lax with age as well? If so, how can they pull the tissue?
    3) If they are released/cut, what is put in their place? Sutures? Don’t you need attached ligaments or a replacement? Can they be re-attached in a different/youthful position?
    I haven’t been able to find this information anywhere.

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      the problem is, as you age you skull shrinks. your face no longer fits the bone. by cutting the ligaments you allow the face to fit the now smaller skull better. the discussion is around whether that is necessary. its a 50/50 call at the moment. the ligaments heal and scar tissue forms which does the same job. hope that helps.
