I am on the fence with the Jimmy John's one. I feel for the employee, as he is doing as he is told, but I doubt he would lose his job over a single free sandwich, or he could have worked something out, like paying for the customer's meal with his card, and pocketing the cash from the customer.
However, while I also feel for the customer, because I have had some bad service before where the employee is a lawful jerk, that does not excuse the customer's attitude. Had he handled this in a less demeaning and more polite way, perhaps the employee would have worked out something, as I have described above.
I have been on both sides of this argument, and I feel that arseholes have collided, as either side could have done something to deescalate the situation.
I laughed so hard at the botched eviction. Especially at the part when the landlady started drilling, and on the other side of the wall, there is a light switch. I would've let her continue drilling.

In the Jimmy Johns situation, I would have told the manager that I will go break my large bill and give them exact change and then can book keep the old fashion way. I get nkt being able to give change and the system being down, but if one of us has a product to sell and the other one has money to buy it, I know we can put our heads together and figure it out. 😂
