Stuff like that is what I love in this game...things that would be a setpiece mission in other games is an organically created event in Foxhole

3:27 So to explain the gunboat proto story, KAL was set up in reef and completely blocked off the east beach access from anyone, as you can clearly see the wall of barbed wire as well as many other intricate lines of defenses that were set up in order to protect the Reef relic, which was only positioned 100 meters offshore. Coincidentally, this ALSO meant that our allies couldn’t use the east beach to launch partisan operations. so what happened was some other regiment pulled up at the beach thinking they could land there and prep, only to find that they wasted time landing there because they couldn’t get through the barrier. They log off and the gunboat becomes a warden donation XD

The blockade at ~2:50 was effort from both factions, meaning neither could make substantial naval efforts. I spent a good while dismantling it with an APC, a solid hour of firing into ships to clear the way for future potential naval activity... Not sure how that ended up going, but since it was a mix of warden+collie ships, we kept getting weapons restricted...
Why would both sides agree to that?

Oh lordy, gotta say my driving in this episode is very aggressive. Id like to blame limited vision as driver and being skittish to ally updates on being sandwiched but yeah could defs be better
as a casual viewer, I felt like you guys had pretty great synergy in the tank! At the very least your driving made for some really exciting clips in this
Thanks man! I was definitely trying to keep the engine running so we would have momentum but more experienced players could defintely say I was exposing us a bit too much and not being as tight with instructions from gunner/tank commander as they do have more vision and I should respond with better reaction time instead of being more lax. Sounds like Im beating myself up but always want to see what can be improved!

Admiral: How? Aren’t you a tanker?
Tc: we were bored and decided to become pirates
The armor combat in this game is so goofy. It's like 1800s infantry combat where you line up shoulder to shoulder and shoot.
They don’t have to be side by side but it just makes it easier to command at time 15 people when there all together or take down defenses
Its a choke point how else will they efficiently shoot
Choke points exist in real life you know.
Anyway its a symptom of the short ranges of foxhole weapons. Irl even primitive ww1 tanks have over 500m ranges, 5/10/20m between tanks is nothing, hell with modern tanks 2000+m ranges 100m between tanks is nothing. You acutely allow more tanks to shoot if you have large gaps between vehicles. But in foxholes 45m Is considered long range for direct fire. So even 1m is a big space between vehicles and 2nd or 3rd linesof vehicles all partisipateing in the fight is impractical.
The other cause is hp and repair mechanics. Irl a single hit, even an artillery hit, can kill or immobolize a tank so you want to increase the chances of misses by spaces between tanks.
And ofcaurse spaces allow formations through terrain.
Choke points only make the above issues worse. Further encouraging line combat.
It's due to the short range of the tanks, I think it's better than a tank 300m behind over a hill sniping you.

Imagine if all the different battalions kept track of all there major activities during a war and submitted all that data to a central group for them to make a full battle map after the war was over.

I’m playing on the 1st server right now and we had no armor and we pushed 3 tanks back and stacked up bodies and blew the bridge it was a awesome experience and I can’t wait to get back to playing but for now your videos shall do.
