  • Acceptance Is a funny thing. We have it and then we don't. Or we struggle our entire lives to get it and to feel that we finally are a part of something and we may or may not realize all of life we are missing because of that struggle. It becomes even more murky when you throw in Disability, disability has its own set of challenges and acceptance within Disability is any even harder mountain to climb. But it is worth the climb.
I can say no I have friends who have my back, friends that treat me as a normal person and friends who would not care if I showed up to their place in a wheelchair or walking. Finding the balance to live between two worlds is a moment. This is a moment in life I do not want to forget because it took me so long to get here. But being able to walk the line as a person with a disability and a foot in both worlds is amazing and some thing I do not take for granted because I have spent too many years on the other side of that line struggling for respect, to be heard, and honestly to be thought of as a "regular" " normal". person as a person with a disability. I really do hope that everyone disability or not gets to go through this journey because it has not only been eye-opening to me but empowering and has given me another perspective to see things from.
If you have any stories about acceptance or how acceptance has affected your life as a person with a disability please feel free to leave him down below because I would love to hear them. Nobody's journey is going to be the same and nobody's journey should be criticized because it has got them to where they are. Let's all respect everyone's opinions and support everyone no matter where they are in their journey today.

Agree, have CP and have more friends on line, that I never met, then I do in person, looks should not matter but sadly it does
