CT5-V Blackwing Puts Down Insane Dyno Numbers STOCK! But We Need MORE!

After a few years out in the world, we finally got a CT5-V Blackwing in for a build and its time to kick off this build series with a good old fashioned baseline. We're gonna take you all through the build process from stock numbers to adding some Kooks Headers, and finally our CSP Heads/Cam/Maggie Package! We might even have a bonus lid test video in the works! Watch as we go over the build and put it on the rollers as the numbers might shock you cause they definitely surprised us!

If you set your dyno rpm pick up to gear ratio instead of inductive and calibrate it on each car you dyno, you wont have to look for wires to connect the pick up to. This way youll get a tq reading on every car you do 😉

Come on guys, I have a 2018 ZL1, it is well known by GM that the black wing has about 30hp more than the LT4 ZL1 and C7Z07, the caddlic lid is better and the factory tuning is better m

So the CTS-V makes almost 100 more hp to the wheel than the c7 z06? That seems odd. I think seeing the change in dynos before and after mods is more interesting. Dyno numbers can be deceiving. My c7 grand sport made about 600 whp. I felt that was low with all the mods I've done but he said that a stock z06 on his Mustang dyno is around 520hp stock but on some Dyno Jets he could see mine making closer to 700hp. There is just a variance in different dynos and they can be set up differently as well. It wouldn't shock me if they underrated it to keep the Vette guys happy and to make better numbers with all the extra weight it has.

Haven't most publicly tested Blackwings dyno'd about 40-50 higher than the average C7Z? They're quite stout.

They are slow stock quarter mile,track and 0-60 compared to stock zo6 even with highrr hp numbers.
