Such an awesome car! Enjoy the videos showing each step in modifications and power gains. Hopefully you guys will take it to the strip when it’s done👍🏻
Unbelievable that they put together such a beast already wound out from the factory!! Do you think there is anything to the tuning profile on this car that the ZL1 would also benefit from or is the architecture too different?
I recently installed 2" Kooks LTs and catless x-pipe on my 11 Z06 with Maggie HB blower (90mm pulley, 5 PSI avg 7 PSI max) stock heads (rebuilt of course) and cam and Borla axleback. Similar gains over stock ex manifolds/cats/x-pipe as you see on the CTS. 29 peak WHP and 34 peak WTQ with gains everywhere, lower coolant temps by 10 degrees and even better gas mileage around town (that one surprised me) *EDIT* gas mileage with headers has not improved, lost 1 MPG since installing Maggie. 510 WTQ at 2500 RPM (love the low end power of a stock cammed LS7) and 615 WHP @ 6700 RPM (SAE). LS/LT engines respond soooo well to upgrades.
You got scammed. Boosting a c6z to make 620 whp when a standard LS7 heads cam set up does that easily is just plain dumb, not to mention the added weight. Good luck tho
So glad the video production has resumed. CSP is one of my Go To TH-cam channels! And the store is awesome too. Adapted Caprice PPV Kooks Headers and Pontiac G8 Corsa exhaust from you guys to my Caprice PPV. Sounds great! Now if I could get you to come out to Seattle to install drop-in pistons, cam and a supercharger...
Is the factory tune just adding a bunch of timing and then running right up against the knock sensors? I dont like to tune like that, thats a bunch of timing wow!! My hellcat on 16 psi is only 14 degrees for a comparison
How much power loss would there be running the green cats on this? I'm wondering did the car pic up because of the headers or because the cats are gone. Im reality the headers gained about 8hp peak would be my guess. Gm did incredible with this car and the tuning
Does the exaust still smell "clean" with the green cats? I love the catless sound, but the fuel smell out of the rear exhaust with no cats is not my cup of tea.
@@completestreetperformance any concerns with running the kooks green cats on a fbo car lets say making around 750-800 whp long term? potential melting of cats and clogging up?
@@JLSpeed the key for running cats is to have enough timing in the tune. With FBO you should be totally fine unless you go high compression and only have like 10 degrees of advance at full throttle
I love your channel you do such a wonderful job with explaining ever detel.i thank you one of the best out there .I wish I could let you do a number on my 2014 ss.keep up the wonderful work I'll be looking for your next video.if you get my comment just shalt my name on a veido .Kenny Hayes from whiteville north Carolina.god bless you all
Just gives me another reason to want a CT5-V Blackwing. Thanks for doing the research guys.
You and me both lol

That’s cool but pretty sure this is about black wing lol
Just ordered a set of kooks from yall. I need moaarrrr
Missed watching you guys need more content!
Loving this series, great content!
Perfect wheels for the perfect car.
i have a 2024 and im so hesitant on putting headers and or tuning it. also new to cars so i love how informative your videos are!
Why??? Too much power? Too loud?

What are the differences other than the lid vs the zl1 and vette lt4?

I'M FINALLY TH-cam FAMOUS!!! 🙌 😌 😅 Andrew, you're awesome man.
I’m getting out of the jdm game, and getting into blkwing very soon, will need your guys help for sure!
No Problem! Shoot us an email Alex@CSPracing.com when you are ready!
What rims are those omg man they look so good

hey i just ordered some headers for my bw from yall do yall recommend using the oem gasket or the gasket that comes w the kooks
The Kooks gaskets are pretty good as they're a factory style MLS gasket and will work just fine!
Can you do some sound clips from the outside of the garage, rev, cruising and launch please…
Pre and post 1/4 mile would be cool too!

What rims are those, and tire size
Thanks
do you think the spike at the end of the factory tune is bad for longevity?
Any CEL with the factory tune?
I have a prius, and I beat a blackwing in a race. The owner of the blackwing was in the grocery store though
The wheels, wow. That car looks flat and wide for how big it is.
Any chance of putting some E-85 in there and seeing what happens?

That sounds pretty mean. Probabky not as good as it sounds in person thou.
Would love to see you attempt a wagon conversion.
No X pipe? How much for installing & headers?
Shoot us an email Alex@cspracing.com and he can get you a quote!
It's sounds like 😍 money 💵
Yeah!!!!!
have you ever thought of porting the stock LT4 Lid
Is that max?
The best is i use a 100cell or Max a 200cell cat on my cars ofc 4inch and it is enough to pass emissions 👍
Question is, what do you think is the real engine output. Seems under rated from the factory. 6mt gang.

No need to chase your tail tuning, it picked up what, 28HP with the exhaust on the stock tune.
i saw 14hp, up to 20 mid range. i thought it would make way more
Why shouldn't you touch them?
The oils from you hands can potentially stain them if you forget to wipe them down before the first heat cycle
It’s pretty sweet, but it still looks like a Nissan Maxima
