These are the type of videos that should be ‘viral’ and have millions of views.

You really have put a huge amount of work into these marvellous programs. Be proud to know that this series is highly unlikely to become outdated, and so perhaps in hundreds of years people will still be watching this. Who knows?....

I love your work Mr. Butler. As a fellow software engineer, I aspire to someday retire in the manner you have - tending thoughtfully to show the beauty of such greater sciences. You're a man to be admired, and your work will be forever.

You always say “thanks for watching” at the end. I find myself saying out loud every time “thanks for sharing” and I really mean it. Your videos have been a huge inspiration for me to study more over the last few years. I’m a 55 year old carpenter with a yearning to be an Astro or particle scientist. Never too late. Thank you so much.

I know right, they help a lot he actually knows speak to an audience and thats really hard to do , I remember seeing someone comment on his video saying "bRo wHy dO yOu TaLk sO sLoW i hATe iT" & I told him he does that so people can take in and digest what they just heard I Also told him if you think he talks slow then change the speed on the video lol dude didnt know you could do that haha

This is an absolutely fascinating characterisation of objects with increasing mass, together with clear explanations of how they differ. By freezing the video at each object, one is presented with the appropriate equations and definitions for further study. Simply excellent.

  • @JochyEstrella

Thank you so much Mr. Butler; I had learn more about the universe watching your videos than watching any other science channels, which by the way sadly had gone into paid channel/streaming subscription except for NOVA and since Discovery channel had go into commercial garbage programming. I want to thank you for your efforts to spend part of your retirement teaching your learnings, much appreciated in my part ! .... It's amazing that when we see into the night skies, we're looking into the distant past. I for instance, knowing the vast extense of the unvierse is so far away into space and time, will like scientific research to focus more about our closest hopes for earthlings since our planet will someday be inhospitable, slowly barbecued by our sun...or is it that , life itself is just another cycle of the universe, somehow-somehwere, gets created, live and die like stars and planets and am getting to think that way of our own human species.

What a wonderful and extremely informative video again of David. Very recommendable. However, I found a small and insignificant mistake, that should be corrected. In the chart showing the increasing sizes and masses of objects prior to illustrating the quantum physical and thermodynamical processes inside rocky and gas planets as well as brown dwarfs, there is a mentioning of the Asteroid Itokawa, which is not 350 kilometers (215 miles) but only between 0.5 to 0.2 kilometers in diameter making it even smaller than 2867 Steins. Thank you again, Dear David for producing these most amazing and breathtaking videos with so much information in it. kind regards. Jens
