People in suits are the biggest criminals...maybe not in this case but an $8000 vehicle new then was about $1000 in materials to produce and 3 or 4 years later your driving around in a rust bucket that your still making payments on that's how new at the time American cars were in the early mid 80s

I had a 1978 C30. Those square "cupholders" at 11:04 on the engine doghouse/console are the correct size for a 750ml bottle of Jack Daniels........🤣

These older vans from GM , Chrysler and Ford were better mechanically compared to the new generation of vans ( European design ) . The ride was also smoother with these older vans .

I had an 83 with that engine. It moved very well. I later put a 400 hp 350 Vortec in it.

Not by a long shot. Last Chevy Vans were produced in 1995; El Caminos were discontinued after 1987 model year.
