    Great video. With added bonus of the safety tips at the end. Especially the one about being careful when working around parts with sharp edges... Very insightful. 😆

    Do you have to replace the bearings? It looks like you reused them, but most listings for the gearset are selling the overhaul kit with all new bearings

    At 7:38…. Please elaborate why it’s important to mark the orientation of the plate with the 5 tangs that engage into the locker. Having inspected this piece, it has no indications that it would fail to operate correctly if spun in either direction. Everything is around a perfect circle with equal distances. I would like to know the reason for this.

    Could you please tell me if the rear axle shafts are the same length? Or are they like the Rubicon with different lengths?
    Trying to figure out if a Rubicon locker will work in the standard width m220 since all are 32 spline.

    Wow, that new JL front diff seems way overly complicated and delicate.

    What is Spicer's break in procedure?

    • @Spicerparts
      @Spicerparts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dana recommends end users follow the OE break-in requirements for a new vehicle as referenced in your owner's manual. If a specific break in period is not suggested in the OE owner’s manual, then the following recommended guidelines can be followed: No trailer tow for first 500 miles with new axles. Avoid heavy off-road driving and/or full throttle accelerations for first 500 miles. Gearsets have a phosphate coating to reduce friction heat
      during initial break in period, and durability issues are not expected for normal, as designed usage, but following these break in recommendations will maximize the durability of the axle internal components including gears.

    It's a real joke they call this a Dana 44, completely different, even the JK version should have a different model number, at least a dash 2 or something like that (44-2). Lets call this abortion the Dana model 44-3
