    CLOSED CAPTIONING TRANSCRIPT
Stephen Colbert: "One of the characters of the film is Modena, Italy, itself, where Enzo Ferrari is from. The factory is still there, and his son Piero is still there. What was it like to shoot where all of this happened?"
Adam Driver: "Kind of...I wouldn't say 'haunting', as that's not the right word, but it was all helpful information. It's not one of those movies where would could shoot Brussels, [Belgium], y'know, for Modena. It had to be in the place [itself]. Not only was it part of Enzo's life, [as] the barber shop in the movie is the barber shop that he got his hair cut at, the guy who is cutting my hair is the grandson of the guy who cut Enzo's hair. Where there's a crash, that is the place where it happened, and you can see the person. You can understand why he was famously kind of a hypochondriac. He didn't like to travel, and he wanted people to come to him. So, he had this routine of going from his apartment, to the barber shop, to the factory, back to Lina [Lardi's] house, it was all within a few miles of each other. When you're there, you're like, 'oh, it couldn't have been made in any other place'. The light in Modena is different from the light in L.A. The red Ferrari in Modena is different from the light in Southern California, and having people come to him was a massive character in the movie, and the town itself. It was just one of those hand-made movies where someone who was on catering one moment was in the movie the next minute. Everyone kind of filed through [on] the movie."
Stephen Colbert: "I can imagine that in Modena, Italy, the catering's pretty good."
Adam Driver: "It's great, yeah! The best catering in the world!"
Stephen Colbert: "Best reason to take the job?"
Adam Driver: (joking) "Yeah! The only reason...well, maybe not the only reason, but the main reason why I do films. The catering."
Stephen Colbert: "Let's talk about the Ferraris themselves, because, y'know, because especially, when I was a little boy, I was very into cars, and there's nothing as exciting or sexy or romantic as a Ferrari car. Why do you think this man, this place, these people, built something so beautiful, and such a moving, mechanical work of art?"
Adam Driver: "As beautiful as they are, they were all about economy. In the film, or to [Enzo's] mind, he kind of says that usually, it's more beautiful to look at when it works the best, and you would always ask him what his favorite car is, and he's say, 'the next one'. He was constantly after innovation. Aerodynamics was just becoming something that they were considering. Mid-engine vehicles was something that he was resistant [towards], [as he was] of the philosophy that 'the ox pulled the cart'."
Stephen Colbert: "Did you spend any time in Ferraris during this movie?"
Adam Driver: "I did. We raced Ferraris - contemporary Ferraris - because those are pretty much the only ones I could fit in [while] in Modena. We raced some Revells, some open-wheel single seaters in California...they have no cover on the wheel, they are basically a glorified motorcycle engine. They're incredibly fast."
Stephen Colbert: "Do you like driving fast? Do you have a lead foot?"
Adam Driver: "I do. I used to [have a lead foot], but not anymore. Now, I have kids. There's traffic tickets, yeah."
Stephen Colbert: "How many traffic tickets are we talking, Adam? Keep in mind, children are watching right now."
Adam Driver: "When I first got my driver's license, I got, like, four tickets in two months. My insurance was something, at the time, was like $300 a month. I basically had to work so [that] I could drive."

    Let's be honest.
90% of speeding tickets are a scam.
    To generate money.
There was no danger, or risk involved.
Just an excuse to write a ticket.
    We need more driver education,
not more revenue for the local speed trap,
    and greedy insurance companies.
Driver education is more beneficial and safe for all of us.

It's so nice that they put all these details in like locations and grandsons... Ofcourse it 's all meaningless marketing babble because 99.9% of the people who will see the movie had to look up who Enzo Ferrari even was, let alone that they know he went to a barbershop. The fact that it's a grandson of the original guy is a nice nod to that guy, but for the movie it makes no difference who plays him.
It makes it sound like the director really worked hard on the details, but you will *never* notice any of them unless sombody from Marketing tells you what you are looking at.
Next they'll tell you there is no CGI in this movie. lol.

Hate to be the "buzzkill" but I find laughing away a person who is a danger to the public because they routinely go over the speed limit, to be kind of gross. Lost family members 15 years ago because some 20-ish year old was speeding, lost control of his car and rammed into my uncle's car, killing him and my nephew. That same jackass had over 9 citations for speeding already when he caused the fatal crash. So pardon me if I don't find Mr. Driver being a public danger on the roads to be cute or funny.
