I was a teenager, one day I came back from school when my elder sister was holding a newspaper with headline about Bentong Kali, and he was on the loose. It was pretty scary for the hype the newspaper report was making that he could kill anyone who comes into his way. My sister said he could be here near our house, which was in Penang, near Penang Hill the forest area. There was no one at home, but only both of us. My sister was so scared, then I remembered I grabbed the newspaper and gave a good stare at his face, and I felt he had some kind of aura that he's not that bad after all. I was fascinated and started following the news on him, coz I found him to be such an intelligent man, and strongly believe that the police crime branch was using him to bring down criminals whom they couldn't. At the end, to cover their shortcomings they changed the plot to suit their fake narratives. I still believe he's one of a kind, an extremely intelligent man. Can you believe what he would have had achieved if his role has been flipped and he worked for the Criminal Investigation Department??? Finally, I don't believe he was shot dead with that point blank precision, I strongly believe he shot himself. Thank you for the book 🙏, I shall grab one when I visit Malaysia next. Greetings from London.
Enjoyed the podcast. I remembered when Bentong Kali was hunted, it was a big talk all around then. Just a couple of years back, hd a hiking trip to Pulau Jerejak, so started to google on Pulau Jerejak and on of the info caught my attention was that Bentong Kali was jailed at Jerejak prisoned too. Surprised to know that he was just at his teenage age and so curious what had happen in his life that he hd become a criminal at such a young age. Suganti did a wonderful work as a journalist ( can see her journey was tough too) and revealed so much of BK's background. However, it is sad to read tt so many young Indian poor kids hd opted being gang member due to environment pressure.
Thanks lady to come up with this book and the podcast. I always believe seeing is believing. All that are reported may not be the real truth. Always give the benefit of doubt.
In 2010 , SG’s Lee Kuan Yew ( LKY ) was Caught Red Handed and Paraded like a Common Street Criminal at Sikh Police Temple in Singapore. In 2015 , Both LKY & Goh Yong Hong ( Ex Comm of Police & Known LKY’s Blue Eyed Lap Dog ) died within Weeks After Allegations were Filed In Singapore High Court… Coincidence ? This may be Material for her next Book 😊

I saw a similar video about Bentong Kali. This video was posted 3 years ago. It focused on the police's perspective on the events leading to his death in Bukit Damansara. Suganthi's account aligns with the police's version regarding his philanthropic activities. However, it's undeniable that his methods and volatile nature were unacceptable. th-cam.com/video/Gi2mZj4aiRw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SYGgQTeKPbbMoPp2
