Wonderful performance Leo. I am an American, 50 years ago, I met a beautiful English girl, my college sweetheart in England while studying to be a doctor. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Very nostalgic, reminds me of being a kid. My mom would listen to this while my dad was out driving truck, long haul. ❤️😊

Yes! High school.
It's 2024, I'm 44 and this is the first time I have ever heard this song. Good stuff! 👍
This is a really good song. I can appreciate it now that I’m older. I was just a kid when it first came out, and always thought it was so sad.
Now it’s meaningful.
This song brings back so much memories of the 70’s!! Reliving it!!
Listening to this makes me sad, yet happy at the same time. Also a rush of nostalgia comes flooding in, my youth, happier, simpler and carefree moments in life. If you read this: don’t ever take ANYONE for granted, ever, bc one day you’ll look back wishing they were still alive and/or still around. 🥺
I m listening to this because it has always touched my heart.
I was lucky to meet him in Bali some years ago, not only a very good singer.... he is a very nice man ! Always a pleasure to hear your voice, Leo.

So sorry for your Loss .
One of the most perfect songs of my teenage years. Thank you Leo for this masterpiece!
Albert Hammond jnr i believe is responsible for this cracker of a song although mr leo sayer certainly does the business with his own job.
I’m 62 and l love this Dino from my 17 and… Wonderful , sensational… Thank great Leo!👏
He is still alive at seventy five
They just dont make them like Leo anymore . The man was a consummate artist. His voice is absolutely sublime.
I hear the first notes, and I immediately start to fight off the tears, but then his beautiful voice comes in ...and then the first tear falls..and then they flow. I have to have a tissue on standby every time i hear this song.. his voice and lyrics created what's arguably the most beautiful love song ever performed. Thank you, Leo❤

What a lovely song.
I'm glad I found this gem. I was born in 91. This song makes me think of not only the lovers I have been with but also my family and my daughter. So many emotions. ❤️

Hello Bonnie, How are you doing?
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much,So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain Granada but living in Texas and you?
Graduated H.S. 1975 What an awesome decade of music like no other before or since. It will never be repeated cause 79 is gone forever. Thank the Lord we have records.
This song brings tears to my eyes. My partner is overseas working and I miss him so much. I listen to this song and think of him. He will be home any day now.
70's and 80's love folk rock country music is the best decades of all time ❤
Wonderful. Practically the whole world has been singing this song, but in my opinion, no one ever did it better then Sawyer. Just utterly perfect!
For a brief time in 1978 Leo Sayer was a superstar, with 2 number one hits. This being one of them.
I can't believe that he only had 2. There's a few that I can think of that I love. THIS is as good as it gets though.
@@fredcurrier5912 My favorite is "How Much Love?". But I don't think it even cracked the top 10.
Pure Genius Leo Sayer ❤ Thanks for the wonderful memories! Brilliant Singer Songwriter!❤❤❤❤❤
Best performance, it is his signature theme. Think many people love him since listening this song.
Leo Sayer so much a great artist, hats off to you my friend.
When I was 19, I used cruise main Street in my hometown listening to this song 🎵 as now I'm 66, and still listening to this heart touching song 🎵 💙
Thank you Leo. It reminds me of my first love in my teen years. It is a beautiful memoir
and so is your song.
This song still penetrates the deepest part of my heart... So precious and one of my favorites..
In 1981 my sister and her boyfriend were taken from us by a drunk driver; I was 10 years old at the time. This song was played at their memorial. First time I ever saw my father cry...he cried uncontrollably and collapsed....one of the most profound and terrifying times in my life. That one person's terrible decision to drink and drive forever changed our families. I'm 52 now and when I hear this song, I can remember every moment from the late night telephone call to the wake.
im so sorry that you had to go through that at that age 😢
